KFC Chicken Meal Review, Hillsboro, Ohio, November 12, 2013, 6:00 PM I've always liked KFC, but the Hillsboro, Ohio location absolutely killed that tonight. I ordered the 7-piece meal deal, which should have easily fed three adults and a child, but it turned into one of the most disappointing meals I've ever brought home. The biscuits, normally one of the best parts of KFC, were a complete joke. They were hard as rocks all the way through. I snapped one in half, and it broke like a cracker, spraying crumbs everywhere. They weren't just dry, they were inedible. Whoever boxed those up either didn't care or didn't bother to look. The chicken itself was fine, two large breasts, two small thighs, one leg, and two wings barely bigger than my thumb. The mac and cheese came in a full container and was decent, but the mashed potatoes were another insult. The container was less than half full, maybe two spoonfuls per person. The gravy was okay, but what's the point when there's barely anything to put it on. It's like nobody in that kitchen gives a damn anymore, they know most customers won't waste their time driving back to complain, so they just shove out whatever garbage passes the counter. Ordered 2 orders of the chicken tender meal. Biscuits were cold, tenders were so small (almost the size of one chicken tender somewhere else.) 2 had rubbery consistency. Mashed potatoes and gravy were good. The meat was so small - cannot believe what the cost is for this meal. Don't believe we will be ordering here again in the near future (at least not for chicken tenders). The chicken sandwich has been very good in the last 6-9 months. But very disappointed in the chicken tender meal. KFC is going to lose loyal customers. read more

This KFC location has improved by a lot. They now have good food and the service is great. It's always fast. I like this location.

I purchased two 2 piece original recipe meals. I wanted chicken tenders and was told that they did not have any at 8pm. They close at 10pm. I am wondering why no chicken tenders at a chicken restaurant The biscuits were so cold that butter did not melt. The fried chicken tastes like KFC but it is also cold...cold not warm. The mashed potatoes and gravy is lukewarm at best. They pit so much gravy on one order of mashed potatoes that it leaked all over a cold biscuit and my hand was covered in gravy. They put a stack that would measure an inch of napkins. Maybe they knew we would need them!?!? The employee that gave me the bag with my 2 boxed meals did ask if I needed any condiments. Sadly I am old enough to remember when KFC was really good and consistent. It is now hit or miss. I gave 3 stars because the employee was polite. Awesome. Did COVID carry out. $20 meal deal of chicken tenders. Includes three sides - Green beans, cole slaw and Mac & Cheese plus biscuits for four. Food was fresh and hot. Also the wait was short. The order taker put us on to this deal and saved us nearly $4. Great value all around. KFC is great! read more

I have had digestive issues ever since eating the fried chicken from this establishment. Believe me, it will never happen again. Mashed potatoes taste like cardboard. We were told that you had to buy side items. They would not sell the chicken only. I understand that they are under new management. Maybe they need to rethink the person in charge. read more

My girlfriend and I went through the drive thru and was looking at the menu and couldn't decide on what to get. Nobody else was in line so we took our time to look. The guy instantly comes on the box and says, " welcome to kfc what can I get you today!" To which I reply " ummm I'm not sure yet I'm looking at the menu." And he says " okay take your time." And not even 3 seconds later he comes back and says " so what are you looking for?" I say "I'm not sure I'm still looking" he seems to get irritated and just starts listing stuff from the menu then my girlfriend gets irritated and says " we said we was looking at the menu give us a minute!" To which he replies "well I'm just trying to do my job!" So I pulled off if I can't have a minute to look I don't want to eat there! Here is what happened to me tonight! First I waited 12 minutes in the Drive-Thru. Only two cars ahead of me. Then I go inside there's three people in line. And I'm still waiting going on 24 minutes total. Ridiculous!! The staff is super friendly. Because they brought the food on my table. So they are messing up on orders because they aren't trained on door dash. I just came in because I had a coupon. The only had five people working. Maybe only 4 tonight . Seems like you come here after 6 and your waiting at least 15 mins for your order even if there aren't that many people. Nobody inside tonight had a super big order.Also the pieces of chicken I got were cooked but the batter wasn't fully see photo! read more

Drive thru last Thursday with my son (12). I wanted gizzards, he wanted the chicken/mac and cheese bowl. They did not have gizzards and I went with their new nuggets. The food was good. I was more taken aback by the woman taking orders and handing the food out the window. I don't eat KFC often, so I asked her about the dipping sauces for the nuggets-- what is KFC sauce? In very short reply she says, "I don't know, I've never had it", tosses me one and shuts the window. She believed she was done with our order; however, she had not yet given us our drinks. So I sat, she turns around and says, "did you get everything?". I asked for our drinks and ketchup for son's fries. We got the drinks, no ketchup. We left. This KFC has really cleaned up its act. I can remember a time we complet stopped eating here because half the time you'd get raw chicken. However now it's really great! The chickens been cooked perfectly every time we've went, a little disappointed they took green beans off the menu, but it's okay COVID happens lol. But would very much recommend! read more

I arrived at the drive through 40 minutes before they closed, asked for the $5 fill up box with crispy chicken. The girl asked me if original was ok, I said no may I get crispy? She said well that will be 35mintues, I asked why so long, she explained it took 22 minutes to cook and 10 to bread. Really?? I was in disbelief, I have a friend who told me she was over reacting she had worked at one and that's not the truth the didn't want to take the time to make it and they wanted to sell the old not fresh original chicken so that way they didn't have to debone it at the end of the night, sad costumer service will not return. The staff is typically friendly, the food is always presentable, the service is adequate and it always tastes great. From this particular KFC, I have never received over/under cooked food.
