We were on our way to our ATV adventure and needed to grab some lunch. This was the only place we could find that was open on our way. We kind of joked about coming here but my oldest said it's the only KFC on the island of Kauai. Okay, let's do it! The dining room was closed, so our only option was the drive thru. It was a quick and efficient process. The food was steaming hot and fresh. They gave us plenty of napkins and utensils as well as butter and honey packets for our biscuits. This tastes nothing like Colonel Sanders Original recipe. They are not preparing it properly. Nor is the Cole slaw made correctly. It tasted like vinegar,no sugar added, etc...there's mashed potatoes but only one small gravy to go with the larger ammount of potatoes when you get the family meal.iqas horrified when I got home...my favorite thing, the biscuits instead of being g fresh, soft and yummy were ROCK HARD. You got to try their chicken pot pie! It's like momma use to make except their crust is more flakey. The chunks of chicken were delicious along with the peas, carrots and potatoes. It's a great meal and really hits the spot. The service was drive through and quick. I ate a bit so you can peer inside and see all that goodness. It's the best value for the money. read more

KFC has for decades been one of my favorite places to get chicken. KFC has really gone downhill. The corn came loose in a bowl, the honey (called honey sauce) is essentially high fructose corn syrup (honey is listed 5th), and the gravy tastes like it came from a grocery store. They have some questionable marketing about the drink sizes. They don't sell a small drink; they only have medium and large. read more

We went to KFC family of four. We went through the drive thru they were very friendly. I got the chicken sandwich it was very hot and fresh. The chicken was juicy and the bun tested fresh too. Wife got the famous bowl it was hot and fresh as well. My son got the pot pie and really liked. My daughter got the chicken fingers, she enjoyed as well. Picked up a five piece fried chicken meal for about $18. Requested for extra crispy. When finally got home to enjoy something that we have not purchased in over 2 years I found that first of all no extra crispy chicken one small container of mashed potato one biscuit. Chicken was on the dry side although not salty. For 18 bucks not worth it and I'll probably never go to a Kentucky fried Chicken again on Kauai. Picked it up because it was supposed to be a treat after arriving back to Kauai from a few days trip to Honolulu. Very disappointing meal. read more

Chicken was very dry, left to long under lamp, service is excellent. Drive up is very convenient. And very efficent. This place was ok for dinner. Their crispy chicken are always good don't get me wrong, but their chicken little's and wings are a little disappointment and also their mac and cheese as well. Chicken little's are a good snack size, but when when it comes to sauces, it's not what I expected. Honey BBQ Chicken Little - tasted good. The BBQ sauce on my sandwich was a little messy, but it kept my chicken a little moist. Nashville Hot Chicken Little - meat was dry, lots of mayo on the bottom and not enough sauce. Honey BBQ wings - their sauce wasn't even covering most of the chicken. It looked like they just poured the sauce on it. Disappointing. Nashville hot wings - it was good and crispy. Mac and Cheese - too much butter. It didn't taste like mac and cheese at all. So much butter flavor and the cheese sauce didn't taste anything like cheese, but even more butter. Disgusting! Cinnabon biscuits - love these! will definitely order again if they still have it on menu. Overall, bucket of crispy chicken was great, love their crispy chicken. Our 16 piece bucket had 7 drumsticks, no wings & no breasts. So you might not get what you think you should get in your bucket. Very disappointing since my Mom & sister only like wings & my brother only likes breasts. But we were in a hurry to get back home & WHO CHECKS inside the bucket upon leaving the drive through??? Driving past KFC, we decided to have lunch here since we haven't came in a while. We went inside, got to the counter to order. Food took a few minutes of be ready. But apparently the lady forgot to give me the side of coleslaw. Had to get up and go back to the counter to retrieve the missing item. Sat down and enjoyed our delicious fried chicken meal. I ordered the two piece meal, thigh and drumstick. Biscuit and mashed potato with gravy. Comes with a cookie. Have to get the coleslaw, which is not included with the meal, I don't know why, it should though. The chicken was freshly cooked, juicy and moist. It was a A. The sides were fantastic as always, love the mashed potatoes and gravy. The coleslaw is fantastic too. Biscuit with butter and honey. Omg. Nice they were decorated for Christmas. Service was ok. 34 years I was born & raised living on Kauai, and this is probably the best fast food joint ever!

The bread is good. I would review the food but we gotta get one server first. The lady blew us off but the dude was pretty cool.

The food was way better than back in California. Cooked well and good flavor. We went there twice and both times good.

Yesterday at 1 pm I went into KFC Lihue to place an order. There were 6 staff working with one taking an order from a female before me at the counter, another taking drive through orders and the rest cooking and preparing orders. When it was my turn to order, the staff member walked away and ignored me. 10 minutes later, still no service, I said loudly "Does anyone work here?" Not one of them looked at me. I walked out in disgust and will never be back. Very unprofessional! What is the manager of this so called chain doing? We usually like coming to KFC for the chicken/food but this is one of the many years of going have we had such BAD SERVICE! My mother went a couple hours ahead of me and had told me one worker was rolling her eyes at the fact that my mom simply asked to have the chicken (for the famous bowls) on the side so they don't get soggy during transport... WELL, we ALWAYS did that and they didn't have no problem with that until today but didn't bother saying it was a problem...oh but their attitudes showed otherwise! Food is greasy and previously cooked (aka OLD). Cashier is unresponsive to requests or even polite conversation. They offer no utensils and no available napkins or wipes anywhere in the eating area. You must ask for napkins and are doled 1-2 small brown paper towels. I won't be back to any KFC after this experience. I recommend you stick to Popeye's or if on Kauai, where there are none... go to a supermarket deli. read more

ehhhh. it's kfc! you can't really expect much when you come here. i do wish they were a bit more consistant on their policies. i went a week ago and got their $6 meal deal thing and the AM manager let me substitute mashed potatoes for white rice. i went last night, and the PM staff said absolutely substitutions. the chicken always tastes good, and the service is pretty quick. can't say it's the best service i've ever received, but they get the job done! read more

Absolutely worst customer service. After ordering I waited 10 minutes for my small order. 6 drive through were served before me. One lady complained for me. I wish I'd seen the reviews here before we stopped in for lunch in January 2014. This was the worst KFC we've ever been in. The food is all made ahead of time and kept warm under heat lamps. So, if you order something they don't have already made, you'll need to chose something else. The service is sub-par. The restroom needs a serious cleaning. I love Kauai, and the people are awesome, but they apparently aren't working here. Steer clear of this place. There are so many other places nearby you can eat! read more
