Walked into a sour-faced greeting with 40 minutes left until closing. I kind of expected it, actually, as she was cleaning up and had two-thirds of the counter packed up. When I asked for ragoons, she acted like she couldn't hear, three times I had repeat myself, same volume and vocal chords I've used to ask for ragoons in the past. She said they were out, except I'll bet three ragoons and I'll raise my three by another three that they weren't out but rather they shut the fryer down. 40 minutes left to go!! And the place was not slow, but man, they were moving fast to close. Food was still good but not with that frowny face reception. I'll pass next time and find somewhere else to eat. I just went to panda express in lihue town and my plate was 22$...and I was completely blown away for a company that should excel in taste and quality what I ordered was the noodles with "teriyakai" grilled chicken and when I took a bite of noodles i choked on it because it was absolutely bland no taste no seasoning nothing and it was as dry as the desert.i had to get salt and pepper and some soy sauce and mixed it in the noodles just for any type of taste at all...and I took a bite of the teriyaki grilled chicken thinking ok this looks good NOPE it tasted like they cooked it in garlic oil which threw off the entire thing off and they gave me teriyaki packages so I mixed it with my chicken but if your going to cook teriyaki chicken you are supposed to soak it ahead of time cook it and glaze it while cooking it not hand someone a sauce package and call it teriyaki chicken..the only saving grace to my meal was the egg rolls and the lemonade I had. For fast food this place is great. All the dishes were fresh and the staff was very friendly. I love how clean everything is and that all the workers were wearing masks. Came here right before they closed and it was good especially if you want something fast and also a take-out dinner. All their selection tasted great and I've had just about everything on their hot table. I'm so glad that they freshly cook their food items as soon as their hot plate run low. I didn't get the honey walnut shrimp this time, but I'll get it the next. I always skip out on their fried rice and order all noodle, their noodles are good! I love panda express but upon my recent visit I would have to say otherwise. The workers were yelling at me as I took too long to decide if I wanted fried rice or white rice. It did take 20 mins but I don't think it was okay to be yelled at when I have a disorder that makes me indecisive. As I told them that the guy behind me threatened me. I never got my food. If you don't like hot spicy food, be careful of which items you select. Not sure if it's the "wok fried shrimp" or the "Shanghai angus steak", because they were kinda mixed together by the time I got home. But one, or both of them were quite spicy. Like chili pepper or tobacco sauce hot. I don't like hot and spicy but I know a lot of people do. Why can't they leave the hot out and let those that like the hot add tobacco to their food. . Ordered via Uber Eats First they couldnt find the order even though there was only one order. I pointed out to the order slip sitting on the counter and told them that was my order. The counter staff started arguing with me telling me that it was an Online order and mine was an Uber Eats order. Wow! Anyhow - they finally agreed that was my order and then started preparing it. 5 customers came after me, got their orders, picked it up and paid before I got mine. Their argument that Uber Eats orders only start after teh driver comes in. I told them this was NOT a delivery order but a pick up order and there was no reason to wait. For some reason they couldn't understand that Uber Eats can have a pick up order and kept arguing that some drivers come after 2 hrs. Sigh! The thing that broke the camel's back - they charge $2.00 per item more not counting delivery fee on Uber Eats. 2 item plate in store is $9.60. On Uber Eats it is $11.60. The 3 item plate is $11.08 in store, $13.60 on Uber Eats. That's ridiculous. Basically if you do Uber Eats with this outfit, you pay more, you get sloppy service, they give it to you last. They close at 8:00pm. They stop making food around 7:00pm-7:30pm. If you get there around 7:45pm, you can only choose leftovers and may not even be able to get white rice, fried rice, and or noodles. Whoever runs this place has the businesses priorities in the wrong place. Their priority is in locking the door and clocking out exactly at 8:00pm. Regardless if it means they lose business by not having food prepared during business hours. It's frustrating to walk in at 7:45, and see that they are already 2/3 closed down, no choices except what's been sitting there, and no plates available cause no one made fried rice, white rice, or noodles past 7:15-7:30. Panda express is always a good choice when you want fast good and great tasting Chinese food. Although it is not authentic Chinese food it's still one of my favorite places to go. You walk in, you look at the menu, you make a selection and then you're out of there. You also have the option to sit in the time but I usually prefer to grab a bite to go. The staff is always friendly and they also offer samples if you are not sure if you like what you plan to order. The prices have increased a little over the past few years but it still reasonable. I love the beef broccoli and the orange chicken, but I recently tried a new five ingredient shrimp and it was very tasty. Another one of my favorites is the ginger steamed fish. I left a drizzle the sweet-and-sour sauce over the top. It's also great that they have a wide variety of starch to choose from. You can even mix and match your starches if you like. read more

Kauai's best Chinese food. There is no place better than Panda. That is sad but true. Kauai is not a culinary paradise. Settle for decent preparation and reasonable sized portions that do not break the budget and leave you hungry. Don't bother trying anyplace else. Fresh food, decent sized portions, clean facility. What I love about Panda express is all the detailed information on calorie content and options for serving sizes. Also we are greeted with a welcome and offered a sample of any of the entrees. It is also a huge plus that they offer brown rice. Although I feel the serving size of the rice is too much for me, I may ask for half rice and half veggies if it is allowed. I am grateful for the Lihue Panda Express because we are originally from the mainland and it is good to have food that is familiar since Hawaiian food has a different flare. Every time we have ever gone here they are always closing early! They advertise they close at 930 but if you show up at 845 they have the doors locked and are cleaning up!
