We ended up here by chance. We went to another restaurant that could only seat us outside and the weather was threatening rain. We called the Naughty Rooster to try and make a reservation for our picky party of 6. They told us to come on by (so we did). It started with the service. Everyone was very friendly and joked around with us. Our group immediately felt at home. We had a round of green tea shots and ordered our food. Everything came out as ordered and was delicious. I had the Loco Moco and it was especially tasty. The item we all agreed on were the lemon pepper wings. They were cooked just right. They were so good we ordered a second round with our dinner. It was such a good experience we bought a handful of stickers and t-shirts. If we go back to Kauai it will be on my list of go to locations. I highly recommend! read more

Service is awful .... Watching the staff stand around while waiting for drinks is not cool. We heard good things about this place so we were exited to try it. We heard the food was good but since we could barely get our drinks we decided to not order food and leave! Great spot getting off the cruise ship! Was not expecting an Irish pub here, but it works. Music is a blend of Irish jigs and modern/contemporary. Met the owners, they are friendly and professional. Just had the nachos, which were fantastic, not so large that you feel like you're wasting food. We had a GREAT time at the Naughty Rooster on Trivia Night. Food and drinks were superb!! Jennifer was our waitress. Took great care of us. We went back again tonight and we didn't even have to tell Jennifer what we wanted because she remembered us from the night before. So happy that Molly and Josh's dream has come true. The decor is so whimsical and relaxing. We are here for a month and will be returning to the Naughty Rooster several more times. Great food and fun times at the Naughty Rooster!!! We've visited before just for drinks and always found the place friendly, which is why we returned for lunch. Unfortunately, this visit was a mixed experience. During lunchtime there appeared to be only one person working the bar and all tables, with several couples dining. She was clearly overworked, and service was very slow. We received our drinks, but there was no follow-up once the food arrived. We ordered the prime rib sandwich special, mozzarella sticks, and a salad. The salad was very good. The prime rib sandwich, however, had very little meat and a lot of bread. The bread itself was excellent, but the sandwich felt unbalanced. It also came with a heavy amount of onions, which was likely our oversight for not asking ahead of time. Overall, the biggest issue was staffing. One person simply can't handle a full bar and multiple tables during a lunch rush. The server was doing her best, but additional help would have made a big difference. read more

The pb's advertised daily opening is 19:30AM; advertised happy hour begins at 3PM. I arrived at the pub at 3:00 and was surprised at the number of people already there. I found a nice table. Lookin around for a server was my first indication of a problem-I saw none! This place is going down fast. This was our fourth and last visit, ever! Our first time at this restaurant was excellent. It was during their first week of opening. Since we had great service the first time around, we invited a friend to dine with us the following week. Our second visit was okay, but not as good as our first visit. Third visit, the pickled red cabbage did not have the Gorgonzola cream. It had a different cheese with different texture. Wasn't creamy at all. The waitress gave some excuse that the brand was different and there was a new chef/cook. Already?! Today, from the menu: 1) They had no soup, no steamed clams, no jalapeño poppers. 2) The pickled red cabbage was totally different. It had no Gorgonzola cream, whatsoever, and no romaine lettuce. 3) There was no mushy peas plated with the Fish and Chips and the triple cooked fries were lukewarm and not crispy. 4) The potatoes in the Steak & Guinness Cottage Pie were not cooked through. 5) The waiter came and stood at our table telling us the total of our bill. I had to ask for an itemized receipt. I also paid with cash and asked for change back. He agreed, but never returned with the change. So, he ended up with an extra $5 on top of the 20% that I already included with the bill, which honestly, he didn't deserve. The menu is somewhat small and a few things were not available. I will go back for a beer. The TV speakers are at ear level so you had to talk loud.
