They usually have some hot food at lunch time and you can get it to eat there or takeaway. On occasion I have also seen pizza here. It's my local and I have dropped in a few times for a doner Kebap. My favourite Lahmacun Doner mit Alles und Scharf ;-)) For €4.50 you can get a meal and bottles of soft drink cost €1 each. So you can have an ok meal for under €6. In comparison to other kebaphaus in the area this is pretty good and the meat is usually quite tasty and well cooked (not crispy). I have also had the Pide and felafel here and they are also quite ok. It's usually open late and if I am desperate for a meal this is one of my choices in the neighbourhood ;-)

Es gibt einen Straßenverkauf und einen Restaurant-Bereich. Letzterer ist nicht allzu groß. Die Einrichtung ist wenig heimelig, ganz im Gegensatz zum Wienerwald in der Anzinger Straße oder in der Valpichlerstraße. Obwohl die Speisekarte sehr umfangreich ist und auch Gerichte für etwa 15 Euro bietet, ist das Lokal eher nicht auf einen längeren Aufenthalt ausgerichtet. An diesem Abend gegen 21:30 Uhr waren einigen Herren mittleren Alters zum Essen und ein Paar Männer zum Spiel am Automaten anwesend. Die Essensgäste gingen nach und nach. Kaffee und Cappuccino sind in sehr kleinen Tassen und dafür zu teuer (2,50 bzw. 3,30 Euro). Insgesamt sind die Getränkepreise für das geringe Ambiente zu hoch. Bedienung Die Bedienung begrüßte uns freundlich, nahm sogleich die Getränkebestellung auf. Nachdem diese serviert waren, wurde das Essen bestellt. Der anfängliche gute Eindruck muss zum Ende hin allerdings revidiert werden. Als es Zeit zum Bezahlen war, wurde die Gesamtrechnung präsentiert. Der Wunsch nach einer Aufteilung der Beträge abgelehnt mit der Begründung, die ausgedruckte Rechnung kann nicht mehr geändert werden. Ich habe auch nicht verlangt, dass die Rechnung für jeden extra gedruckt werden soll. Scheinbar hatte sie nur keine Lust zum Rechnen, obwohl wir mit Ausnahme der Automaten-Spieler die einzigen Gäste waren. Ich hatte also alles zu bezahlen. Dies wollte ich mit EC-Karte tun. Auch das wurde verneint, weil die Rechnung schon gedruckt war. Dabei zahlt man mit Karte immer erst dann, wenn man die Rechnung gesehen hat. Sie könnte ja falsch sein. Absolut unprofessionell und kundenunfreundlich. Stammgast werde ich hier sicherlich keiner. Das Essen Die Speisekarte ist sehr umfangreich. Neben Hendl-Gerichten gibt´s auch Schweinsbraten, Wild, Ente und Salate sowie eine Wochenkarte. Die Preise bewegen sich etwa zwischen 9 und 15 Euro. Wir bestellten Grillhendl mit Beilage und Salat (11,50 Euro, Chilihendl mit Beilage und Salat sowie Rotes Pfefferhendl mit Beilage und Salat (12,50 Euro). Am Essen war nichts auszusetzen, geschmacklich gut und mit reichlich Beilagen (Pommes, Kartoffelecken, Bratkartoffeln) versehen. Jedoch sollte gerade Wiederwald in der Lage sein, Hendl richtig zuzubereiten. Dafür ist er ja bekannt. Das Ambiente Manchmal wirken Lokale von außen unscheinbar und öffnen dann beim Betreten eine andere Welt. Hier ist es eher umgekehrt. Die Wände des relativ kleinen Speiseraums sind weiß gestrichen. Besondere Gemütlichkeit kommt nicht auf, eher geeignet zum reingehen - bestellen - essen und wieder gehen. Zu helle Beleuchtung. Ich kenne das Lokal noch vor Wienerwald. Da war es eine bodenständige Wirtschaft. Es ginge also durchaus gemütlicher. Sauberkeit Insgesamt sauber.

The only bummer is that they can sell you a beer but you can't drink it there. Regardless, the food was awesome!!! My hubs and I both had grilled veggies - he had the burrito and I had the bowl.
