    Chicken Pot Pie
    James A.

Really like their chicken pot pies! Ordered it via Drive-thru, and it didn't take too long to get it. This is a stand-alone one (there is a Taco Bell across the street). Haven't had their actual fried chicken in a while (and we've actually started to replace what KFC means, since we love Korean Fried Chicken so much). But for chicken pot pie, they are the only fast food game in town, and it is quite good. It is single crust, but the crust is very flakey and overflows a bit so you can take a wedge off and eat it separately with your hands while you are eating the inside with a fork. The gravy inside is very good, and it has large d.chunks of white meat chicken, carrots and potatoes. We ended up sharing and all of us were quite please

Its a typical KFC. They can overcook the chicken at times but they are pretty run of the mill.

The food definitely stands out in terms of quality. It is most comparable to places like Canes , with the chicken/fries/toast combo. However they excel in comparison with their dirty sodas and other food offerings. The fries, cheese curds and Texas toast are all delicious snack options. Everything comes out hot and cooked to order. The portions are a good size and it all tastes fresh. The dirty sodas were a fun thing to try out. During my visits, I tried the "Toasty Marshmallow" (Mr Pibb) and the "Float On" (Barqs) . Both are sweet combinations and are fun treats. There's a lot here that makes them stand out from most fast-casual places and overall provide a quality dining experience.

Shops that offer chicken tenders, chicken sandwiches, fries, and similar options have become very commonplace in this area of the Chicago suburbs. Even without considering the quality of food, there's a few features that make this a hit for me. The dining room is fun, yet appropriate. The value here is great both in terms of quantity of food, and overall pricing. The ice cream that changes monthly provides a fun way to customize a periodic visit. While I'm not crazy about the texture and flavor of it, it's still an enjoyable dessert -- particularly on a warm day. The sides such as fried cheese curds and spicy fries are different. The dirty soda options also provide a ton of possibilities for social media posts and different flavor options on each visit. Service is not too slow for how busy the restaurant is, and parking isn't too difficult. The food is very good here, both in terms of flavor and texture -- and generously portioned as well. The tenders rival the best versions I've had from other dedicated chicken restaurants. Crispy with tender chicken that stands well on its own without sauces, but at the same time has a heightened experience with the quality sauces, which each have a distinct flavor profile. I also enjoyed the cole slaw and texas toast considerably, and especially the fries which were crisp and matched very well with the sauces. The same level of food quality is also present in their sandwiches and wraps, which mix the same quality components together for a delicious product.

There's a little bit of a wait, but I get that. Also want to give a shoutout to the solid, ventilated takeout boxes. They don't get soggy, and they keep the crunch of the chicken on the drive back home! Ambiance: I can't speak to that because my husband went to pick up our food from this location, but as for the new HMart location, it's what one would expect from a food court situation except newer and shinier. (be forewarned that seating is somewhat limited in that HMart, especially if you go on a weekend.) Price: Prices are what they are these days, and while it feels a bit pricy for wings, it's definitely comparable to BWW/any other local dive. Plus, the wings are BIG. Overall, my husband has gone to get chicken from bb.q Chicken (which stands for "best of the best quality" chicken, he was told!) twice within 2 weeks, so I think that speaks for itself. Go and enjoy!

My understanding is that the original was NOT spicy. But when I went home to eat it, half was spicy, half was not. Granted, they gave me six pieces instead of four, so kudos for giving me extra chicken. Unfortunately, the golden original was rather bland. They don't brine their chicken, so if you're eating here, select one of their flavored options. On top of that, it took 20 minutes for my order to be ready. So not exactly an ideal place if you are in a time crunch. The staff was at least very friendly. I signed up for the rewards program, but couldn't figure out how to add the points from my order to the rewards app. I asked the staff for help. They couldn't figure it out either.

I sent my husband inside to grab the food and according to him it was chaotic and messy in there. He did not care for the vibe. The fried chicken was bland, plus all dark meat in the two-piece combo, so I won't be getting that again. It came with a side of gravy which is ok if you like gravy (I usually do not and didn't like this one either). Fries are nothing special. The chicken sandwich is really lacking in seasoning and they skimped on the mayo. Popeye's does it better and for cheaper too. Their angus cheeseburger reminds me very much of a Wendy's burger, although the patty is thicker here. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here for the burger, but it's a solid option if ordering other food. The star of the show was the Jolly spaghetti. What a unique flavor from the sweetness of the sauce to the cheese and hot dog pieces! I wish there had been just a little more cheese, however. Also, it only tastes good when hot and starts to lose its luster when it cools down. I do like that they serve fountain Pepsi since it's pretty hard to come by these days other than at Taco Bell (and it's less watered down than Taco Bell's version). Overall, I think this place is just ok and if not for the spaghetti I'd probably never eat here again. I will come back occasionally for that spaghetti. It's Sheldon approved. IYKYK

I got a 3-piece fried chicken with two sides. I got the regular fried chicken, not the spicy. The wait time was about ten minutes. The seating area is VERY limited and full so I changed it to a to-go order and ate it in the car. The chicken was very standard. I didn't get any unique flavors. Perhaps the spicy chicken is the unique version. The breading was nice and crispy. The mashed potatoes were just like KFC. Nondescript. The spaghetti side, however, was truly unique. A smoky sauce, hot dog pieces, and shredded cheddar on top of pasta. It was pretty tasty and definitely unique. If I go back, I'll try the spicy chicken. Otherwise it was a pretty disappointing experience.

Inside is bright, spacious, and very clean. The owners are so nice. They genuinely wanted to know what we thought of each dish. They are happy to explain menu items and make recommendations if you ask. Taking a quick glance at their menu, I can see they have some good lunch specials. Burgers & wraps look like a decent deal, 2.99 more for a meal is not bad considering the food is not chain fast food. They have a nice spread of clay oven beef, lamb, prawns, salmon, and chicken. Nice appetizers, a few veg options, biryani, and entrees (I hate saying the word curries, wack). We went with some grilled platters. Everything on the platter was cooked to perfection, each item distinctly seasoned. Tandoori chicken was soft, which means marinated very well. The korma tasted like home..that is the biggest compliment you can get, and will likely be my go-to when hangriness short circuits my decision making capability. Nihari was perfect. Their butter chicken was good, not the sweet kind thankfully. The biryani was also great. Perfect, aromatic rice, meat was off the bone and well seasoned. Tandoori roti and tandoori naan were soft, not burnt, with that lovely clay oven aroma. The off menu special was dal gosht (meat and lentil), which I really liked. It was pleasantly mild and obviously slow cooked for a while, giving a nice comfort food vibe. Since the Tip section is no longer available on Yelp, a few FYI's. For entrees, it may take some time to prepare because everything is made to order, so break out candy crush or prepare some talking points to share with Ralph..if you decide to dine with Ralph. Their mango lassi is good, but because they use real mango vs pulp, it could be a little tart, based on the mango and the yogurt used. Always pre order charga (we did) because that is a specialty that takes time to prepare and marinate, whole deep fried chicken. BbqLand is a winner in my book. Give it a try. Who the h is Ralph.
