This was the worst Thai food I've ever had. My husband's dish was rubbery shrimp and squid, the sauce on his noodles was bad, and the chicken in my friend's dish was sandy tasting. The green curry tofu dish was disappointing, the tofu was inedible - seemed to be fried and squishy. We hardly were able to eat the meal. Of the four of us, only one person would have rated their entree as high as a 3/5. The chili wings were fantastic though. I visit here during my trip and I'm glad we stumbled in because this place has the best chicken wings I've ever had. They're tiny but they give you about 20 of them. It's a cute hole in the wall with good service. 10/10 would come here again just for the wings. read more

Delicious Thai food! Taste just like the how they make it in the U.S. I love the flavors and the portion size. The service was a little slow to begin but we decided to still give it a try. We watch as other tables that came after us her their foods and orders taken. We didn't let that discourage us from staying as we really wanted a hot bowl of curry or noodle soup. I ended up ordering their grill fish of the day. It was phenomenal. We also ordered their curry noodle soup, it was delicious. Everything was so flavorful and lovely. my mom and I came here and for a dinner while we were staying in killarney and we loved it so much :) we are vegetarian and asked if they could make the pad kee Mao vegetarian and they happily accommodated. It was so well flavored and filled w tasty veggies. The noodles were the perfect chewy texture! We also got the green curry which was well flavored with great portions. If anything, the food was a little on the milder side. we loved flavor packed Thai food so I wish there was a bit more flavor but overall it was so delicious. We considered going back again the next day! We asked for everything to be extra extra extra spicy and it still wasn't spicy enough for us haha, but I could tell they did try to make it spicy- just something to note if you like spicy food! Ummmm this place was AMAZING. We found this on a whim while in the area & were so glad we did. The restaurant itself is tiny with limited seats, but we didn't have a problem getting seated immediately. Also, it smelled delicious when we walked in. We immediately knew we made the right choice for dinner. They have a wide selection of menu items, including pho, noodles, and curries. Something for everyone. We got the pad Thai, pad se-lew & chili wings. Everything came out SO quickly. This is why you don't have to wait long for a table. The meal was full of flavor & cooked perfectly. The chili wings were spicy, but were crispy & cooked VERY well. Super easy to eat. This was a wonderful escape from the typical fish & chips meal! Truly enjoyed my dining experience here tonight! We ordered the spicy chili wings, pad se-lew (my friend changed her meat to beef instead of pork, and the pad Thai. I really enjoyed my pad Thai dish and it was very filling! Our main entrees were 10-12 euros and the appetizer was 5.5 euros. Prices are very reasonable and the owner was walking around making sure everyone was enjoying themselves which made it a homier experience. Service was good, the place was busy as people kept coming in and out but they were able to get people seated timely and bring food out in a timely manner. We wandered into this restaurant during our visit to Killarney.  After having eaten fried fish and potatoes every day for a week, Asian street food sounded like a nice change.  And it was!  The food was delicious, especially the fried rice and the seafood curry, and the service was prompt, friendly and very accommodating to our large and loud family of three small kids.  Not to mention that we left a phone behind and they have put it in the mail to us all the way in the United States!  I recommend this restaurant in every way:  food, value and service. read more

Came into town after a long morning of hiking. We were crazing Asian/Thai food and this place was perfect! We both ordered the Chiang Mai soup and a side of Bang Bang chicken. The soup was delicious ! Super creamy but also a bit spicy. They loaded in up with noodles and chicken etc which was a nice treat as I have been to many places where you mostly get broth and the noodles and they skimp out on the extra fixings. At the end of your meal they give you a free scoop of ice cream. Great little restaurant in the heart of downtown Killarney. Gai Yang chicken was perfectly spiced and layered over a salad with cucumbers tomatoes and crispy cooked carrot shavings. The Pad Thai was equally impressive. Average wines keep this from five star status but the food is top notch. Had I gone with a Killarney beer, it would have been perfect! You really can't go wrong with any Asian restaurant but I'll start with saying the service was delightful. Our waiter kept our glasses full without us really noticing. My Pad Thai which is kind of my go to at any Asian place was as good as I was expecting. My wife orders Pho a lot and we have a Pho restaurant back home and she really wasn't all that pleased with her noodle soup. Khao Asian Street Food is a solid option for food if you're visiting Killarney. We didn't see many Asian food restaurants during the portion of our vacation spent in western Ireland so we made sure to come here as a way to break up the streak of heavy pub food. I ordered the beef pho and it was perfect on a chilly day. They offer complimentary ice cream at the end but we were a bit confused and thought they were offering it as an added paid item. It was too cold for ice cream so we would have passed anyways. I recommend coming by if you're in the area. There is a parking lot conveniently located nearby. 4 stars. read more

Had the pleasure of eating here twice while on our trip and it was truly fantastic both times. They are one of only a few restaurants open till 1030 and as "late night" eaters this became our spot. After spending several days in Ireland I was a bit tired of the local cuisine. On our second day in Killarney I just decided to look up restaurants near our hotel and can across Khao. The reviews were all positive so i gave it a shot. I ordered the PHO BO soup and it was really delicious. The broth is a dark brown color that's full of all kinds of great flavors. I was pleasantly surprised with the veggies in the soup - who knew Ireland would have bok Choy. My family and I tried this spot on our first night in Killarney, and we ended up going back two more times before we left-- it was so good! Honestly I would say the hot chili chicken wings were one of the highlights of my trip. The wings are small but they give you a big bowl full, and the sweet and spicy sauce is out of this world. We also tried the pad thai, pad se-lew, and the mao talay, all absolutely delicious. The only thing I didn't love was the green curry as the chicken was a bit dry. Other than that it was absolutely delicious. I will be dreaming about those chicken wings until my next trip to Kerry! read more
