After an extended drive, he sat me down to explain what vehicle history information was available. Specifically the advantages and differences between CarFax and a CarProof vehicle history reports. (As a US citizen you want both when buying a car in Canada.) Included in the negotiated purchase price, Roger provided all the documentation necessary so I could drive the car across the border the same day. He even contacted the Washington State Department of Licensing to ensure all the paperwork to register it here in the US is prepared properly. (I'll update this review when I get the car registered in Washington State.) Greg, their finance manager, walked me through the sales process. He clearly laid out what paperwork is required to show proof of sale, transfer of ownership, and temporary BC insurance and registration. My friend, who purchased a car several months prior, commented that this process was simple, straightforward and hassle free. The dealership is transparent, honest and open. Crossing the border was a breeze. The documentation worked flawlessly. US Customs and Border Protection inspected the vehicle and documentation. I was at the border crossing for about 30 minutes. If/when I'm in the market for another car, Victoria Premium Auto will get a look should the exchange still be in the US's favor.

"Sales advisor" I guess they are called now was patient, understanding, friendly, didn't give off those used salesman vibes, and was respectful of my wife. A real gentleman. His name is Greg. The sales manager was a gem, totally relatable, honest and down to earth for a young guy. I heard the last one had some issues. Hearsay perhaps. But this team currently is great. They keep prices competitive and serve the Victoria community well I believe. I had a few snigles with some of the technology issues but overall I'd recommend the Patterson Automotive Group be given a chance to shine. My only real disappointment was that I placed a deposit online the night before then there was some equivocalness withrepect to someone else already being promised the car. My car has only 58,000km on it. The last 2 services were both done at VW Victoria,Every oil change was done within 10,000km.The blamed delays-just because I went to Mr. Lube. Their explanation makes no sense--the car ran perfectly before service. What's worse, after the incident,they informed me 2.5 hours later. Meanwhile, they disassembled the engine and used compressed air without my permission,destroyng any chance of an independent inspection. Now, they're trying to shift all the blame onto me!

BUT,…read morethey sold me an "additional warranty" for wheel rims and tires, the finance manager, who sold me the $700 policy, stated that it would cover cosmetic damage, i.e. road rash, the policy states tires and cosmetic damage. The service manager now tells me the insurer won't honour the claim, the fine print states that the tire must be damaged and the wheel. Despite the severe scraping from running into a curb, the rim is NOT covered. At the time I agreed to this additional insurance I specifically asked whether this type of damage would be covered and was told "definitely". I blame myself for not reading the fine print at the time and trusting the dealer's representative. My advice, do not buy additional coverage from this dealer, it's a total waste of $ and just lines their pockets. Last tim I buy a car from them.
