I brought in my car to have the steering fixed, and they forgot to replace the panel underneath the steering column. Unfortunately due to its location I never noticed until much later. A year later I brought it in to have a windshield wiper motor replaced, it was replaced but misaligned, and the wiper arc didn't cover some of the windshield. I brought it in again to have that fixed and the transmission looked at, as the transmission was starting to experience issues. They told me it might be fixed by replacing the transmission fluid, which they did, but they charged me for fixing the windshield wiper misalignment, which was their mistake to begin with! Finally, two weeks after they replaced the transmission fluid, the transmission failed completely. I'm a bit resentful about this, I feel a mechanic should know that a transmission problem (one severe enough to render the car eventually undrivable after two weeks) couldn't be solved by just replacing the fluid. They replaced the transmission, and it works fine now, but: - The steering wheel cowling wasn't fastened properly, and slid down to block the gas pedal while my wife was on the highway. - They replaced the clutch, despite it being only a year old and my requesting they not do that during the estimate. - When I brought their attention to the panel missing from underneath the steering wheel (which they had neglected to replace from the steering job) the mechanic just shrugged and said he had noticed it missing from the 'bad' job done on the steering, completely oblivious that it was their previous work. - They charged me again for new transmission fluid. Admittedly I don't know if the fluid can be retained or not, but given the cost of replacing the transmission + their faulty assumption about the new fluid fixing things to begin with, it just felt like a poke in the eye.

I'll be warning friends and family: if you want dependable service and respectful treatment, go somewhere else. A new part was ordered, but Glenoak refused to track it after it was shipped, and I was refused any info to track it myself. I was initially told it would be 10-14 days for the part to arrive. On another visit, I was told it might be 20-25 days, plus 2 days to install. It was critical I be notified when the part was delivered so I could adjust my travel plans. I was promised several times by the service department manager and employees that they would definitely notify me when the part was in. Despite my pleas and their promises, they never contacted me with that information. Actually, I heard from the service department only twice after my car was towed there; first, telling me what was wrong with it, and, second, that it was repaired. I was given a "courtesy car" for two weeks but was charged half its cost. They attempted to charge me $350 more than the initial quote, but relented when I protested. I was told there was a 2-year warranty on the new part, but this was not on any paperwork I received. Service techs did not secure the splash guard to the bottom of the car, so it fell and dragged for several kilometers before it could be taken off. Despite numerous letters and emails, Glenoak Ford has made no effort to acknowledge the company's lack of communication and its dismissal of my requests. There has been no offer to reimburse me or negotiate any unnecessary financial expenses I endured because of their broken promise to let me know when the part arrived. There has been no apology nor admission of wrongdoing from them. I do not recommend anyone, especially a senior, single woman, to take her car to Glenoak Ford for servicing because of its disrespectful customer service, broken promises, lack of compassion, and outright deceit.

They pride themselves on having tough trucks, which is a laugh considering what happened with my "luxury truck". Within the last couple of weeks, my wife was getting into the driver side rear door and as she closed the door like a normal person and the plastic handle came out and a piece inside broke. I took this in for repair and they said it couldn't be repaired and I'd have to replace the whole door panel. GM customer care wouldn't honour the repair based on this dealerships advice. So you're telling me its not a mechanical defect for a 3 year old luxury truck's door handle to break when closing the door? What a joke. Truthfully the joke is on them as previously I was getting all my servicing done there and was waitlisted to purchase the new 2023 Canyon Denali. I obviously won't be buying a truck that cannot even withstand a door being shut. Not to mention spreading the word about this abysmal dealership.
