He doesn't pay attention, he's always on his phone or helping another fighter while one kid is getting ripped to shreds by someone 60 pounds heavier that him and a half foot taller. He also cursed at my son for asking for help with his headgear. He doesn't help you with advice unless he considers you developed (or if you pay for one on one coaching), and if he doesn't, he ignores you or chastises you when you ask for help. Coach David and Coach Sula are great, I loved their classes, but unfortunately, it doesn't even bump up the rating to two stars. That coach should not be allowed in a gym.

I've enjoyed the classes so much that I've become a member. They're also going to start offering self defense classes on Friday evenings as part of your membership which is pretty cool. Instead of making things right, he lied about being injured, disappeared, and then resurfaced with a barrage of foul, threatening messages -- including violent threats against my husband and intimidation directed at me. They have yet to return the money, and we've been forced to pursue legal remedies to hold them accountable. This is not an isolated incident. There's documented history of violence and they've already been pursued by authorities in the past. My experience only reinforced what others have discovered: the owner is dishonest, unsafe, and unstable. Bottom line: This establishment is not just unprofessional -- it is a threat. Second, when we called the scam out, a barrage of unhinged, threatening texts were released -- promising violence not just against me, but against my wife as well. That's when we decided to run a background check. What came back was restraining orders, repeated restraining order violations, trespassing, assault charges, even burglary. And here's the kicker: even if you ignore the scams and the behavior, there's a lack of credentials. Google the MMA records of the trainer(s) -- one win, nine losses. We aren't talking about tough guys with skills; more brawling without wins, let alone proper self-defense instruction. All I see is bullying and victimization of women. Bottom line: Save your money, protect yourself, and find an actual professional.
