My little guy really struggled with previous daycare options. Many don't work well with ADHD. Bringing him to Kicks for the Summer program has been a game changer. He used to cry every morning going to daycare, begged not to go, and would try to barter for early pick up. Now, he is excited to go and gets upset if I pick him up early. They do a great job keeping him stimulated, moving, structure, being positive and keeping to a schedule so transition back to school will be smoother. I wanted to write a review because the review above me from Abe D is Mr. Degnan's brother. So, thought there should be a review from someone that is not a family member! Kicks Unlimited is expensive. Your child starts out at one rate and then once they are bumped up into the Performance Team the price doubles. We signed up our children because we believed Kicks Unlimited wouldn't just hand out belts, that the kids had to earn them. But sadly that is not the case. It is frustrating to watch your child work so hard to earn their belts and then see other children just handed them. At first we believed they truly cared about their students but sadly that is not true. They are a business and care more about their business than your child. Once you sign a contract you're treated differently. Different people have different views on karate and karate classes. This could be the perfect school for your child. Before you sign a contract make sure you try a few classes and talk to some of the other parents. read more

We enrolled our daughter a few months ago and we love it! The instructors are great with the kids and engage them in every class. Since the kid has been in the program I can see her improving in her listening, behavior, and even setting long term goals for herself while understanding that there are smaller goals along the way. My son is part of the lil ninja program at Kicks Unlimited Sun Prairie. When my son was in Kindergarten last year he had alot of problems in school he was going to their equivalent to detention on a daily basis and got in school suspension 2 times. I knew I had to figure out a way to make things change. I was been told by a guy friend that when he was younger Martial Arts really helped him. I was ready to try anything out to fix the issues he was having. During Summer Vacation I enrolled Derrick In Kicks Unlimited Sun Prairie. He was really excited and it has helped him so much. It is almost thanksgiving and he has not been to detention once this year. Though a few other things have contributed to his success this year Kicks Unlimited, Definitely Helped monumentally in that achievement. He has improved so much and he hasn't even been there very long yet. I would recommend the lil ninja program to all children cause it does more than curb misbehavior. It also helped Derrick be more confident, disciplined, and believe in himself. The instructors at Kicks Unlimited are very good at teaching the kids martial arts and also skills they need for their lives outside of martial arts. Mr. and Ms. Degnan are the best. They have truly helped my son along with the other black belt instructors. Derrick looks forward to continuing with his goal becoming a Black Belt too someday. read more

I remember the first lesson my kids had at Kicks Unlimited. I had been to a couple other schools and was not really impressed. When I went to Kicks Unlimited in Sun Prairie, I was so impressed with how well the Blackbelt's communicated with my young kids. How they adapted to the age of the child rather than expecting the child to adapt to the age of an adult. And unlike the other schools that were so particular about every little detail, he focused on what they were doing right while peppering in some corrections throughout. Building them up rather than putting them down. And he also talked about behavior, being positive and doing well in school.
