The bikes were in great shape and the service we got from Yannick, the owner of the business was five star. He responded to our emails and texts very promptly as we were planning our trip and gave us a lot of route advice when we arrived. He is willing to pick up and drop off bikes at your destination or, in our case, meet us at the train station with bikes. His rates are very reasonable and the area surrounding Fontainbleu is really a biker's paradise. I would highly recommend!

So, I found Paris Bike Company and set up a ride with Sam, sending him the dimensions of my bike in advance. The original day we'd arranged for was rainy, and he was super-flexible about postponing it a day or two. Once in Malakoff, I easily found his shop and Sam waiting for me. Sam is super-chill and isn't there to kick your butt, but rather lets you set the pace according to your ability (I discovered I'd been eating and drinking a little too much on my trip, so being allowed to set our pace was a good thing). We set off on our ride, him explaining some of the local rules of the road so as to make the trip a safe one. We rode out to Versailles and back, about a 50km round-trip. During the trip, Sam was a great tour guide. If it hadn't been quite so chilly (and I'd been a little better dressed for the cold), I would have gone out for longer. Although it cost a bit to do, having a private two-hour tour of the countryside was one of the best things I did in Paris!

Recently had a new SRAM RED Groupset given to me, and the mechanic, Fred, mounted it to my Specialized SL4 in a most expert manner. Very reasonably priced labor too. If I understand correctly, he's a former track racer and very precision minded. Remy, the owner, is always helpful and cheery whenever I pass by. It's so nice, I feel like I'm back home in California. He is clearly passionate about bikes and getting people into cycling. It's not the biggest shop with the largest selection, carrying primarily TREK and Giant, but if you need something that they don't have, they are always willing to order for you. I have actually requested special orders from other shops, in brands that the shop carries, and have been completely dismissed. This is my first Yelp review, inspired by this excellent shop. They are quick, easy, give recommendations on where to bike and all around they provide an amazing experience. I rented a bike solo for the day and was able to see a large part of Paris.
