This time, we stayed at a nearby hotel and walked into the Galleria so we did not have to deal with traffic and parking. The last time we were here, our impression was that the mall was mainly upscale, expensive stores. In 2026, there are a lot more moderately priced stores that are intended not to be so exclusive. After walking around for a while, our main activity was for the kid to do ice skating. It is basically $20 for unlimited skating, although it has to be continuous. You can't leave and come back. The price includes skates but you have to buy socks if you did not bring any. She was not very good at skating to begin but got better and better as time went on. We were there about 1.5 hours and that was enough. The activity seems to be attractive for kids, teens, and even adults. There were even a few people who seemed professional level. The kid begged us to do skating again the next day so she obviously enjoyed it.

Anyone who knows me knows that I frequently lament (complain, gripe, bi$%h) to anyone who will listen about the dearth of cute boys clothes available in kids stores. The girls section is always full of glitter and tutus while the boys section is tucked in a corner with a few ugly blue shirts and onesies. But not at Janie & Jack. The store devotes equal square footage to boys and girls selections with a boys area full of some of the most adorable outfits that I've ever seen. I was seriously about to purchase everything they had in my child's size but after my sanity returned, I walked out of the store with a nice ensemble for my baby to wear to church. A must visit for all mommies with boys.

But then I asked the kind lady about those items and she said that they had taken them off the floor and were packing them up to be shipped off but if I wanted to see any of them she would very happily go back and grab them for me. And she did I waffled over what sizes to get and ended up buying multiple ones. Some of the sizes they didn't have in the store but she kindly ordered them off the Internet for me and had them shipped to my home for free. I'm so happy with my purchase. The quality of these clothes is top of the line and the design is exquisite. One thing I noticed feeling all the materials of the clothes is that they are all nice quality materials, beautiful looking AND comfortable. I'm so against other brands that make dressy baby clothes out of cheap materials that are uncomfortable and scratchy. That was not the case in the store all made from fine comfy materials. I only bought clothes from the girls section but I was so amazed at all the beautiful boy closed. Next time I have a boy to buy for I will hit up the shop.

My granddaughter had a private birthday party scheduled for her and a few of her friends. It was an amazing experience! She and her friends loved it!! Me too!! The party coordinators/servers did an excellent job taking care of us and keeping the party on schedule for the 1 1/2 hour timeframe. They started by letting everyone know the schedule of events- a small craft, a couple of games, appetizers, lunch entree and a birthday cake! The craft and a few other items were included in the party favor bags. Thank you American Girl Place for making our Birthday Girl feel so special! She'll remember this day forever!

Being our 4th time back what sticks me most is the dramatic inconsistency. One year great the next a mess. This year the service was very slow. We did not even get 5 small pieces; last year 6 of us each had a piece with leftovers. Food was good and there is a good selection. Because they only accept consignments on weekdays, I made a special trip during the workweek. When I arrived, no one was at the counter, and I had to find a team member downstairs to get assistance. I explained that I had two bags of well-maintained, name-brand children's shoes to consign. She told me they only accept "brand new" items, which was confusing given that this is a consignment store. When I tried to clarify what she meant, she was dismissive and made me feel as though I was inconveniencing her. My items were not formally declined. I chose to leave with them because the interaction was so condescending and unhelpful. I would rather donate them to someone in need than continue a transaction with an employee who treated me that way. Unfortunately, I will not be returning as either a consignor or a customer.

Terrible Member Service…read more I had an extremely frustrating experience trying to get a simple question answered. I called the store multiple times because I was trying to find out if a specific AC unit was available , but my app was not working. Each time I called, I was repeatedly placed on hold until I eventually had to hang up. I finally selected the option to speak with another department and asked to speak with a manager. I was kept waiting for about 10 minutes before the call was disconnected. At that point, I decided to drive to the store myself. When I arrived, there was no line at Membership, but the two employees working in the department were standing there talking to each other. I explained to a manager what had happened with my calls, and they didn't seem particularly concerned. They told me they would speak with the employees in Membership. What made the situation even more frustrating was that while walking around the store, we ran into the same manager again, and he was also on his phone. I understand that employees may have legitimate reasons for being on their phones, but after repeatedly being unable to get through to the store and then experiencing this in person, it was extremely disappointing. As a paying Sam's member, I expect better communication, accountability, and member service.

Yes, you can get the same couch here for $500 less than other stores in the DFW area. That's INSANE. They also have a clearance section in the back with returned furniture that is marked down to dirt cheap prices. I got a like new night stand for $35, an amazing bookshelf for $57 and a solid TV stand for $90. A new dresser here cost me $250, new kitchen table was $100 and as I said earlier my couch was $350. That's a total of $882 to furnish an entire apartment with high quality furniture. I have friends that have spent over three grand furnishing their place! The deliver service they utilize is a bit pricey ($85 flat rate) but it beats hiring movers. The guys working here are super friendly and don't try to push you into buying anything. This place is where you want to visit if you don't feel like spending a fortune on furniture but still want high quality stuff.

In fact, some of the same items we looked at that were 400$ at their retail location, were $180 at their Outlet store. This place is a bargain for high quality furniture. It's clear their stock changes regularly, so I highly recommend checking this place out on the regular. Interestingly enough, one of the new chairs we bought had a rental return that matched, so we got a matching pair of designer high quality chairs for a steal. Be sure to look at the entire store. The facility isn't as nice as the other one, with this one having more of a warehouse feel. I'm not even sure it's as big as the retail location, but you're not here for the facility anyway. You're here cuz you're going to save a fat stack on some furniture. Marco was really helpful and very knowledgeable about the furniture. He showed us everything and was very informative. Francisco was nice and friendly, and was even flexible when my wife demanded pillows that went with a different couch... even though we had already paid. Delivery was smooth. We actually purchased items at both locations, and the delivery company owner Alex picked up items from both stores to deliver them for us on one delivery, and for a bargain! Alex and his crew was very familiar with furniture delivery and all furniture was delivered without any marks on the new items or on the property. He was about 10 minutes early even. To top it off, I negotiated with Alex to move my existing furniture out of the way for the new furniture! I'm no Charlie Sheen, but 'Winning!'
