Terrible Member Service I had an extremely frustrating experience trying to get a simple question answered. I called the store multiple times because I was trying to find out if a specific AC unit was available , but my app was not working. Each time I called, I was repeatedly placed on hold until I eventually had to hang up. I finally selected the option to speak with another department and asked to speak with a manager. I was kept waiting for about 10 minutes before the call was disconnected. At that point, I decided to drive to the store myself. When I arrived, there was no line at Membership, but the two employees working in the department were standing there talking to each other. I explained to a manager what had happened with my calls, and they didn't seem particularly concerned. They told me they would speak with the employees in Membership. What made the situation even more frustrating was that while walking around the store, we ran into the same manager again, and he was also on his phone. I understand that employees may have legitimate reasons for being on their phones, but after repeatedly being unable to get through to the store and then experiencing this in person, it was extremely disappointing. As a paying Sam's member, I expect better communication, accountability, and member service. read more

Sam's Club is my staple big store. It's rarely crowded, thats a plus. The options for food are good, and it's convenient. I buy most of my dry cat food from Sam's, and my cats approve their food. I will drive the extra miles to come to this Sam's club. This one here has plenty of parking. They have a larger parking lot than many of the others I've been to. They sell most things in bulk, so when I come here I buy my water , laundry detergent and toilet paper. Sometimes along the way I find other things I want. They do have something's they sell that are not in bulk like some of the foods. read more

I know,I know but it's so tasty! I made the mistake of eating no breakfast this morning, going to the gym, then driving across town to see a friend. All this with nothing to drink or eat in between. So, when I found myself by one of my favorite Sam's in the area,it was a no-brainer to get a hot dog. Not just any hot dog as those in the know, know! Could I have eaten healthier? Yes. Could I have experienced hot dog bliss otherwise? No... Ok that's enough of that. I really like this store. It's laid out differently than my usual store but, it seems to flow better and I get in and out with no Hassell. I don't get a lot at Sams but, what I do need, they always have in quantity and at a price, I want to pay. One discovery today I'm trying to remember is, the pizza looks a lot better here than other sotres. I felt like taking the entire pepperoni to go that was just pulled out of the oven and for only $8.95. Im sure ill return for one and the cheese was awesome looking too. Today I picked up a few different olive oils. Its so much cheaper to get a large container here. read more

Jan 2024: 4: I would recommend this location. I stopped by this location to check and see if they had a specific type of fish and some office supplies. The parking lot appeared to be fairly clean and there was someone out gathering the carts when I arrived in the early afternoon. I saw several people inside stocking shelves and replenishing items that were out of place. All the clothing areas appear to be neat and some of the other aisles that I walk down appear to be orderly as well. I did not get a chance to evaluate the deli counter personnel on this trip, but maybe the next. There was sufficient parking space for both small and large vehicles. Stopping here with a vehicle in tow is possible because of the space and the fuel station was adequate as well. read more

The gas pumps really need to be addressed. -We have violators always accessing the pump from the wrong direction. This can be easily avoided by simply installing spike strips. Cars will think twice after they've gotten their tires deflated before being selfish again. -Pumps seem to randomly always be closed (a cone is placed there blocking cars from using it) and then magically opened right at opportune time when I've been waiting long time only to have someone whom just arrived take it. There's really no reason for pumps to be going down so stop it. -More workers need to be policing this area more especially for the wrong direction violaters. Or better yet, just have the worker there do his/her actual duties. read more

I have grown to love the fresh squeezed orange juice available at Sam's! I can't go back to store bought - name brand or otherwise after having the fresh squeezed! The fresh meats and eggs and fruits and vegetables are my go-to staples that I shop for weekly. The gas prices are usually the lowest around. I usually enjoy a variety of name brand products at Sam's Club. But then, more often than not, they will replace them with the Sam's generic brand "Member's Mark". I usually do not like the Member's Mark brand after it replaces the name brand (such is the case for the Panera Bread broccoli & cheese soup, and the spinach dip). It sometimes feels like bait and switch because you get used to buying a product you enjoy and then it's replaced with a lesser quality product, albeit at a lower cost. My son (who has a Costco membership) has had me picking up the Tattoo Chef pizzas for the past few months. But they have not been consistently available. I haven't been able to get the TC spinach pizza, only the cheese pizza's. One thing that I truly don't like is when they have these "sneaky salespeople" checking for windshield cracks while you are trying to pump gas or sales people in the store trying to sell you a home improvement. I really don't like being approached when I'm minding my own business shopping. I wish they would end this. One thing that I do enjoy during these pandemic times is that no one is hassling you to see your Sam's card on your way in to the store. How many people that don't have a membership ever try to shop there anyway? I previously was able to fill prescriptions at Sam's and my insurance recently ended the relationship so now I have to fill them elsewhere. The pharmacist's at Sam's are top notch! We always get our flu shots from Saad and he is amazing! He was on vacation this year and Elaine took equally great care of me and my husband. I always enjoy Abraham's genuine hello's and goodbye's depending upon if he is working at the entrance or exit doors. read more

I don't live in Richardson anymore, but it's the closest location to where I live currently. The produce/deli departments are always clean and well stocked. Door greeter always nods at me when I come in to shop. Decent selection - I don't expect incredible things from Sam's in general so I'm usually not disappointed. Except the whole concept of no cash! It drives me crazy but what can you do? Lol. I get my tires serviced here; usually it's a 1-2 hour affair so I find myself browsing around the store or grabbing a hot dog while I wait. Ot would be nice if the associates would give estimates on how long the wait will be. But this time I was just asked for my number and that I'll be called when it's ready. Overall it's decent. Staff here is fairly reserved and the place isn't as noisy as other bulk stores I've been to. But those looking for outstanding shopping trips with warm, friendly employees will probably be disappointed. read more

After my knee replacement, I started going more often to get the chicken again because it is not only wonderful, I got in some great walking therapy! The Premier Mocha protein drink was a huge help for recovery and that mocha flavor is wonderful! I also use some of the mocha or vanilla in my coffee as it makes a good froth. I like Sam's and their early hours allows me to get in and out before the crowds wake up. I have found this location to have a problem with restocking the paper in the gasoline machines. People want their receipts and this location fails to be prepared at 7:00/8:00 am Saturday or 8:30am on a Sunday. The gas crew should ensure paper is available and working properly. The lady at the self-check out is friendly and the lady greeting customers/checking baskets is also a sweetheart. I could not have experienced the absolute rudeness the cashier gave my mother while she was checking out, that being said I decided if treatment like this is how cashier's like to show customers, it makes me glad I don't come here that often, except that I have to for certain items. She was taking forever to sign up someone for a membership card and didn't seem to care if other customers waited at the time. As we were told "it's part of my job." Then when she proceeded to check us out she slammed things through like we were a complete waste of her time and we should not have bothered her in the first place. I am a frequent Costco member, however I am in town visiting my elderly father who has shopped at Sam's Club for as long as I can remember. Simply put it was the worst customer service experience I have ever seen or witnessed. My father who is the most respectable individual I know choose to go through the cashier lane because of the ease. Prior to going through the line he adjusted every item in the cart so nothing had to be moved and can be easily scanned by the cashier. When he approached the register he greeted her and asked if it was okay if all the UPCs were facing up. She snobby replied that everything needed to be placed on the belt unless it was a bulk item. During the whole transaction the cashier complained about how she wanted to work in the warehouse and another employee who present was clearly dis-trout with the behavior of this cashier. (maybe she should be in the warehouse) After handling the items without a care in the world my father paid and proceeded towards the exit. He got stopped at the door because the cashier failed to scan the bulk items under the cart. The door greeter was accusing my father of knowing walking off with those bulk items and we had to explain we went through the cashier line. The greeter said we had to go wait in the long Sunday line again to purchase these items. The whole situation was a disgrace. My father was looking forward to do his Sunday shopping with me, once we left all he could talk about was how he can't believe that's how they treated him. Quite frankly I can't either. I am not one to complain about service and I have never written a review before. I will admit y'all do provide great value and quality products however maybe your mission statement should also focus on customer service because your membership is certainly not the one I love the most. This is a typical Sam's Club. I enjoyed the layout of this particular store in comparison to the others I have visited in DFW. One of the perks of Sam's Club is the affordable gas prices. Normally service here is great and the people are quite friendly. However today while checking out I scanned two things of toilet paper and the system said you could only have one. There was no sign stating that only one was allowed to have a certain quantity. The first rep said the error was not due to the toilet paper but something else. Then said oh the system updated to only allowing one. I explained there was no sign and she stated it doesn't matter. Well news for you it does, a sign must be displayed with the item if there is only a limited quantity allowed. So okay cool I won't get the other. Then a second rep came over and was extremely rude stating that only one is allowed per system and I again explained the no signage. She the exclaimed rather loudly that only the system matters. However this place needs improvement in order to compete with Costco, first of all the big city Sams Clubs are already limited in terms to quantity of stuff, second they have no good electronics section. I usually enjoy shopping at the newly remodeled Sam's Club on Coit road in Plano. The new Scan n Go app is terrific. But this past weekend was an eye opener. On my usual list of items were several sale items. The very first item was a variety pack by Keebler. Having bought it several times I went to the Keebler section but it was not in its usual location. I asked an employee (who was clearly annoyed I was bothering him) and he said it was where it usually is located. I walked him back to show him differently. He disappeared and reappeared moments later with the item. I asked him where the item was displayed and he said it wasn't...it was "in the back." Hmmm. A sale item not on the shelf. Strange. My next item on sale was Cedophil cleanser. Clearly on sale in the Sam's Club flyer. But on purchase I paid full retail. Only the Cedophil lotion was discounted. I noticed later the flyer stated that each store has the option which sales items they will honor. In short, I could not find, or paid full retail, for four items in the Sam's Club flyer. Here's the deal...Sam's Club will advertise items for sale, then refuse to honor the sales price and/or remove the item from the shelf. The old "bait n switch." Or simply, fraud. Wonder if Sam's Club competitor, the store that starts with a "C", engages in such practices? I plan to find out. read more

I love it here! If you do not know this, you can pick everything out that you want from the store on their app & when you're done, you can submit the order for a click n' pull. Depending on when you place it, they can have it ready to pick up the next day or two!! Don't even have to spend all that time shopping around. Very nice!! And there are so many samples when you are in the store... As well as some amazing deals!! I love it! Plus they do have fresh foods!! Including fresh chicken and beef :) just check the packaging. Then here comes ANOTHER white man sitting outside selling popcorn. Now I'm pregnant so ima buy.... NOPE! Negative. He gave me eye contact, CONTINUES to talk on his cellphone so I walk in the next direction. Not even 3 minutes pass, a white couple walk out and he asks them if he'd like to purchase some popcorn.. Well there you have it folks, the entire experience of this Sams was very crucial. 1. Had I not been pregnant I would have dusted it off 2. Because I'm pregnant I was already irritated from his heat and wanting to go eat and sleep. Point being, some people can ignore racism but today.. I'm not having it. First visit to this location and I will say, it will definitely be my last. From the moment I walked in I felt like I was an inconvenience to the employees. I wondered around for close to an hour looking for a specific item and never once had an employee offer assistance. Once I finally did find the item, I was going to just use the self checkout. The first one I went to, wasn't working. So I went to another one. This one wasn't working either and one of the employees said, that one doesn't work....... she never offered any advice on which self check out actually was functional. There were no signs or lights that showed which register actually worked. So I stood in line with a teller. I prefer not to use the self checkouts anyway..... Once I got to the front of the line, another employee approached me and tried to bring me to the self check out. I told her that I would prefer to use the line I was currently in, she said "sir, you only have one item, it would be faster to use the self checkout". At this point I was too tired to care anymore and knew my patio had grown thin, so I decided to place the item on one of the many empty conveyor belts and walk out. I drove the 5 miles down the road to Costco, quickly retrieved the same item and payed less for it. Unfortunately there isn't a Costco in my home town therefore I am only able to use them when I am out if town but when I'm in this area, there are too many other options than this Sams. On a positive note. The club was clean and seemed to be well stocked. The location is easily accessible. I'm truly sorry that I won't be coming back here after this experience. I really think customer service should come first and I never felt like This was a priority here read more
