Amazing place to find kid's stuff! We've found so many helpful things here. I can't recommend it enough

Pretty poor customer experience. I brought an under the bed roller bin to sell some clothes. When my clothes were done I forgot to pickup the bin because I had been busy that day. I called the next day and they told me that anything left after 7p the previous day is donated. My bin is gone which was 1/2 the value of my haul of clothes I sold. They could have said here's your bin back when I came to get my $ back but no. Also, where is stuff donated so I can get my bin? I won't be going back. It's unfortunate. The board of rules for selling your clothes is also smudged and difficult to read. Overall customer service isn't great. read more

Not as good as other consignment shops in the area. I'd highly recommend The Nesting House instead. The staff there is friendlier and the selection is better and more abundant. Here, I walked in and wasn't greeted. I loudly said "Hello, how are you?" to even get the attention of the 2 employees. I then wandered the store without either asking if I needed assistance, and when I left, no one said goodbye. Really a shame because I used to pick up little things here and there here (even though I was never really impressed with customer service.) This store is good if you are not willing to pay retail. Very much over priced though. Also, I will say if they buy your items & you are looking for just a couple dollars good place to go. The staff are usually rude. Be prepared. they have hired a few nice people but I feel like the mean ones stay & the nice ones leave. They do have an assortment of items to choose from. Clothes, shoes, toys, sports equipment, strollers, car seats but again good prices off of retail but still majority high. read more

Need a clearance rack (same prices) from all different stores compiled into one location, except the clothing is all USED? You've come to the right place. It's not worth your money; a clearance rack at any one of the brands they sell's stores will be selling you brand new clothes for the same price. I just bought a pair of Stride Rite shoes for my son for $21. They're scuffed on the front. Come to find out, Stride Rite has a few different styles on sale on their website for $23-$25 a pair. I could have gotten him a brand new pair for the same price. This is the case for just about everything they sell, including brands like Old Navy. Not to mention the store itself isn't child-friendly at all. They play explicit music (yes, I was hearing repeated F-bombs while shopping with my son) and there are no shopping carts. read more

[960] 7/30/2019 This Kid to Kid children's resale shop is really cool. It's in a strip mall with plenty of parking. The store was recently renovated and it's much more organized now. They sell new and used items but mostly used. The quality is nice and I have never had an issue. Many of the items are for smaller kids so if you have a young one don't spend retail when you can get it discounted. I picked up a few pair of shorts. I came in during a sale so the yellow dots were $1 each if you picked 5 items. Great deal. The return policy is that you can return items within 7 days with tags and receipt. I enjoyed picking up items from here over the years. Sadly that time is almost done (kid is getting big). I definitely recommend this place. read more

Just an OK place to buy clothes. Some prices seem fair, most are pretty overpriced. Don't bother selling your clothes to them though. I used to get about $40 in store credit. From the clothes I brought in today, I received $8.50 in store credit from an entire bin of clothes that I dragged in, most of which were brand new. There seems to be no rhyme or reason as to why they take what they do, and why they only give you like $.50 per item, even items that cost $50 brand new. Plus, as for selective as they are about what they'll take, they somehow don't have many of good options on the racks for purchase. The associates that sort through your clothes are SO snotty & pretentious, seem annoyed to sort through the clothes, and have such an attitude the second you walk in... why?! I'm mostly annoyed because I have no one to give these clothes to, they're so beautiful that it kills me to throw them all in the donate bin. I just want to bring a few hundred dollars worth of clothes in and get like $40 to buy a new outfit or two for my kid. I want to like this place, but they kinda suck as a business and in the general atmosphere of the store, and I hate that. So, now I'm looking for new secondhand shops if anyone has any recommendations? I've heard Nesting House is good? Once Upon a Child? Any others? Thanks!! read more

Ok QUALITY stuff but QUANTITY of selection of items is severely lacking. There were about 4 pairs of pants and 4 pairs of shirts to choose from in my sons size. Good for shoes, other then that not the best consignment shop read more

We love Kid to Kid. My niece asks to go all the time. She loves the kid door and looking at all the toys. They ask that you don't let kids play with the toys, which is fair, but have no issues with the kids trying out the toys for a bit. Just be respectful, don't tear things apart and put the toys back where you got them. The clothes are prices fair. They're in decent shape and you can get a great deal. read more

The items in the store were what you expected them to be and fairly priced. I drive about 25 mins to get here but every time I've came to donate or consign items they mysteriously never were accepting items that day. It seems really strange to me and sadly I won't be back. read more

For about a year everytime on my way to linvilla orcahards I would see this place. I wasn't sure what it was,but I have children and it said kid2kid. I never stopped because by the time I was on my way back I would be so tired. I'd say oh forget it so. one day my youngest son said dont forget you want to go to kid2kid, and I was so tired he said you keep saying you want to go so GO.when I tell you I've been there 4times in the last month. I love that place I customize sneakers and shoes and I find great gems in this place. the staff is super sweet and helpful. the store is never mess. and they have super great items from ride on toys for kids to swim attire ,accessories, shoes,car seats, books,hair bows,wagons the list goes on. And they dont even trip when kids play with the toys that are for sale. OH AND LETS NOT FORGET the little pink door for the kids to go thru read more

For the past three times that I've been here, an employee was rude to me. I usually leave feeling irritated and I don't like most of the employees' attitudes. A few are reasonably nice and personable, but it seems more are rude and even openly bad mouth consignors and customers, right in front of me. The fragrance they use in the store is also overwhelming. I usually get a headache or nauseous during my visit. They pay measly amounts to consignors and then jack up the prices for customers. I also don't understand how they justify taking some things and not others. I was told that they wouldn't take my son's almost brand new jeans because the knees were faded. They weren't truly faded, it was the wash of the jeans. That's just what's fashionable right now - come on. I have to agree that it seems like some of the employees don't have a clue. I also hate that they took away the kid playing section. Instead, they put all the toys in reach of the kids, and then insist that kids don't touch the toys. You know who this is hard for? Moms. You know who buys and sells here? Moms. The only reason they're getting one star is that it's more convenient then reselling on ebay or facebook (not nearly as profitable though). I wish they'd do better. I'd like to keep buying and consigning with them, but I've had so many bad experiences that I practically expect another bad experience when/if I return. read more

WOW. What a disappointment. I used to bring things in and get $50-$60 for about the same amoun of toddlers clothing, with more usage, several years ago. This time I brought in 43 pieces of well preserved winter clothing for a boy between ages 8-12, plus a pair of new unused hiking boots and a bag full off winter hats and several pairs of heavy duty gloves, not knits. This included 10 pairs of nearly new gifted Levi's and other brand name jeans (my son had issues with texture) some with tags still on them, along with some other rugged winter wear. I have no one left to give them too, but I'm going to fond someone lucky. I felt almost insulted receiving $12.50 for all of it. All of it was accepted. I didn't witness the sorting because they said they needed an hour and would email me when done, but I got my basket back empty. I would have liked to have watched them go through each piece, because it's a mess behind the counter. I would like to think they keep track of things but who knows if my bag of hats and gloves separated from the laundry basket. Nothing was labeled so you just have to trust them, and maybe you can hover and be a hawkish PIA, but that's not me. After today, I will not be coming back. I believe in the concept of recycling, and passing things along that are affordable, but i would appreciate a little more respect during a sale. There is no negotiating. take it or leave it. Fine. At this point, I would rather just donate it or hand things down to friends and refugees like I usually do, and feel better inside rather than insulted. i said thank you and left. I basically got minimum wage for my hour of time, not to mention complying with their rules, laying things out unfolded in a basket, laundered, and súper organized as instructed over the phone before coming in. Total waste of time. They seem overwhelmed, robotic, assembly line-ish, and weren't warm and friendly either. Wasn't like this before. So much has changed.  $12.50 is unbelievable low for the quality I brought in. I realize you are a thrift store, but seriously? One pair of unused new jeans alone was worth more than what I got. I'm not sure what is dictating the pricing, people need stores like this with job loss and supply and demand driving up prices during a pandemic, BUT US sellers also need to put food on the table. Something changed FOR THE WORSE. Hope you are not getting greedy. As an occasional consumer back in the day for my now fully grown son, it was hit or miss, but I found some good things slightly cheaper than the same thing new on sale in a store. I was a satisfied customer And as a seller, my experience in the past was much better. Can't make sense of it. I'm seriously better off having no expectations and just being charitable. read more

Stopped in with my daughter and was shocked at the condition of the store - crackers crumbled all over the floor, literally 50+ toys strewn all down the toy aisle on the floor and a musty wet dog smell throughout the store (it was a sunny day today, no rain). In front of the store, there was over 50 cigarette butts right in front of the shop as well. We also tried to find a fitting room but one was "closed for remodeling" and the other one was jam packed with bags, backpacks, toys & huge bags of clothes. I took pics of all of the above but it looks like there is no way to post pics in a review. We won't be returning. FYI, the store manager turned off their social media reviews as a result of my review and has blocked me from their page. read more

I passed Kid To Kid on the way home from an event, and excitedly made an illegal (but safe) U-turn to visit the store, as I'm not frequently in this neighborhood. There's so much stuff here. Everything is very well-organized, even for a busy Saturday afternoon. I went in for shoes for my toddler and ended up spending a decent amount of time combing through the racks, amazed at the number of plaid button-down shirts in the 18 month baby boy section. The prices are great. I scored a pair of Toms in great condition for $9 (it seems they probably retailed for close to $36). There are plenty of opportunities to save some extra cash by surrendering your phone number and Facebook love. I'll be back to sell my gently-used baby clothes (only accepting seasonally-appropriate items, Monday through Friday, 10am to 6pm). read more

I was a loyal customer of Kid to Kid 10 yrs ago when my older two children were small. They had high-quality, unique items you couldn't find in most stores. I recently went to purchase some toys for my youngest, who is a toddler now. For second-hand items, they were priced close to retail value. The cashiers were kind and helpful, so I let it go. Most recently, I came in to sell 2 gently- worn, pair of sneakers (OshKosh,Vans ) and a pair of never worn Nike sneakers. The cashier offers $10.25 for all 3 pair! She didn't want to provide an itemized receipt showing what I sold. I was insulted to say the least. I now see why everything on their clothing racks screams " Walmart clearance". Instead of fairly sharing profits with their customers, they choose to overcharge on purchases and lowball when buying. I'll never spend another dime in that store. Years ago this used to be a good place to sell gently used children's clothing. When I would always bring in namebrand high-end items, I would always get a thank you note in the mail & would be paid on average between five and six dollars an item which was perfectly acceptable. Most recently I have taken brand-name, Ralph Lauren, Burberry, Hanna Andersson, Tucker& Tate , Gap etc all in great condition. First, they have young kids working there that I don't think are aware of brand-name items, and returned my sons' Burberry shirt and pants(?) which normally retail for 250- saying they don't take that brand ? And what they did take - I got paid an average of approximately a dollar per item = what I received. I originally went with over 50 items, they returned approximately 11 and I got $45 for the remainder. The dresses alone from Ralph Lauren originally were 60 or $70 I probably could've sold on the street for at least 4 dollars. I understand they have to make a profit, but when I walked around the store waiting for my tote to be evaluated, I looked at the prices they were charging for Ralph Lauren shirts, 17.99$ - so there's no justification for paying a dollar per Ralph Lauren item if you're going to try to charge upwards of $17. I'd rather donate my clothes. read more

They don't do a great job at checking the merchandise for defects. One time I bought several pairs of footed pj's, got them home, went to throw them in the wash and realized someone had sloppily cut the feet off one of the pairs. Should I have noticed? Probably. But I expected they would have done a decent job of inspecting the clothes before buying them. Lesson learned. So check EVERYTHING before purchasing. Look for stains, missing hems, missing buttons, and rips. I've wound up with clothes with all of the above issues and kicked myself for it. I still buy many of my kids' clothes here. For something they're going to only going to get a year's wear out of before outgrowing, why not get it on the cheap? You just have to spend some time digging for the good stuff. I have not bothered to sell clothes here - the margin they pay you doesn't make it worthwhile. A sales associate indicated they will give you between 20 and 30% of how much they will sell a clothes item for, 30 to 40% for baby gear (stroller, high chair, etc). So a Carter's t-shirt would sell for around $4. You'll get around $1 of that. Meh. read more

Just like everyone else says, the prices are too high for more than moderately used items. But what convinced me to review this sham store is that on several occasions my wife has found the original price tag attached to an item that has a Kid To Kid price on it that's well above that original cost. And their staff has not been any help. Example: wife found a pair of shoes with a $6 original price tag and a $12 K2K price. The girl at the counter said "well I can do $6.99." My wife told her that was still above the original price and finally worked them down to $3. But seriously?! Does the girl think my wife is stupid? Is this how they're trained to handle this? This stores items are well over priced went there for a jogging stroller and I must say I've waisted my time. What an absolute mess! If I could give one star I absolutely would! I drove over an hour to come to this thrift shop because of the "good" reviews online. Boy was I absolutely wrong!! Not only did they not update their hours on any of their websites or social media's, you walk in and they CLOSE IN 4 MINUTES. Literally every single worker screamed it at me. To make matters worse, they had an entire STORE full of people!! How is that supposed to make a new young mom feel? Not only did I drive over an hour your "hospitality" is absolutely disgusting. I would HIGHLY recommend you call this thrift store before driving or attempting to stop in. They may make you feel like an absolute scum bag for wanting to take advantage of their Saturday hours, UNTIL 7pm. But nope. Now they're only open until 430. What a shame. read more

Kid to Kid brought me out of Yelp retirement. If I could give zero stars, I would. I've been consigning here on and off for YEARS. Today I dropped off my items and was offered an insulting amount, which I attempted to decline by phone. A rather rude woman answered the phone and when I advised that I didn't sign the authorization to accept the offered price, advised me my items were placed on the floor because I left the store. Upon my questioning this in all my years consigning with them, she hung up on me. I called back and after 10 rings a manager answered and was apologetic for the employee's behavior and calmly explained the policy. She also explained I could revive more with a store credit; however, I never see anything worth purchasing. All of the clothes and shoes look worn and faded. It boggles my mind how and what they're picking. I've seen them take a old Walmart sweatsuit vs. a like new Nordstrom outfit. The employees don't have a clue. Undoubtedly the rude employee was the same rude woman that told me they couldn't accept an almost new mamaroo swing because they had two in stock (two I neither saw on the floor nor behind the counter...ok). I picked up my "no thank yous" and the small payment and will never return again. If you want to make real money, try a just between friends consignment (look them up on FB). You get 60% and set your own prices. read more

This store always has great stuff and I live right down the street. I had a horrible experience at the Drexel Hill location today. The cashier was very rude to me and every other customer. I actually asked her if she was in a bad mood, she responded I'm ready to go home, I've been since I got here this morning. I asked about the free book program and she didn't explain. Extremely disappointing store. The boys clothes size 12-18 months rack is just sad. Nothing to pick from and what's hanging is disgusting. Very good selection of button down shirts though. Disproportionate amount of useless button downs for boss baby. No decent boys' jackets, sleepwear, shoes highly worn out and over priced(which aren't even sorted by size or boy/girl) so you gotta look through each. I don't get how they turn down good clothes but accept and sell worn out, stained rags. Maybe girls clothes are better as per usual, but for boys it's a disaster. Also, after dropping off 3 bags of toys (Vtech, Melissa and Doug, all in great working condition) and a huge lot of excellent season appropriate clothes( including jumping beans and Gap) I got less than $9.19 ( that'd be 20% less if I wanted cash). I feel like I donated rather than consigned. Side note for the store manager, if you want to offer a decent selection of clothes, you need to start buying all seasons to acquire inventory for the following season ahead of time, not during. Save yourself some time, money, and frustration if you are buying for a boy, and go to once upon a child, at least they offer discounts for their consigners. Oh, also, watch your receipt, I was charged for a free book. read more

Went in for the first time today and was really underwhelmed. The place is kind of a dump, very much like a thrift store. Non-clothing items were haphazardly strewn about and some appeared to be missing pieces or weren't totally functional. Pricing isn't that good, either. A 3-pack of baby socks was $7, used Bumbo seats in OK condition were $22+, baby gyms were missing pieces and pretty filthy. Prices for those seemed to be around $12-16. Overall I was unimpressed and have no plans to go back. read more

Amazing job getting things back out on the floor for customers to view. Everyone had a smile on their face willing to answer questions and assist. At one point emptying out a bin just to find a customer ONE single item!!! I don't know what kind of training you guys do but EVERYONE has a great attitude while working.. I enjoy going here simply because it's convenient and have found nice things there, however, what I've sold to them simply isn't worth it and regret giving it to them is what it became. They look through and taken what they want and tag it right away to be sold, so you can't take it back, you'd have to buy it back. They took a Ralph Lauren , gap jacket, shoes (worn 3 times) Ralph Lauren dress, etc. for $24 cash! No one has ever spoke to or even acknowledged me as many times as I've been in there. I definitely could have sold them on FB and did a lot better. If I do sell again, it's because I don't really care how much they give me for it, but because I need to buy something regardless. read more

I have only good things to say about the staff, who are kind and efficient. Unfortunately, however, this just isn't a good deal for either buyer or seller. I brought in several brand new items (still in packaging) that probably cost $5-$10 each, and I was offered only about $0.75 per item; I could have gotten 20% more in store credit, but that's still not very much. Shoppers see nothing of this severe markdown; I looked at strollers and pack 'n' plays, hoping for a bargain, but the prices were very steep for obviously used items. There may be a good reason for this, such as high overhead, but at the end of the day, it just isn't a very good deal. read more

There was nothing "gently used" in this store. I went to check it out because I wanted an exersaucer and a high chair. They were charging $80 for a chico high chair that I have seen around $130 new. I thought it was a bit expensive for something used and I mean USED. It was rusty and dirty looking. They didn't have much by way of "new" toys, which I guess is fair, but I wasn't looking for an exersaucer from 6 years ago. I was hoping for a more freshly used piece that didn't look terrible. The clothing is also over priced! I was poking around and found things from carter's selling for $6. You can get Carter's stuff online with promo codes NEW for less than that. The only promising thing I saw was the shoe selection. There were a couple of things that are probably about $40+ new selling for $7 and in not bad shape. I don't know how baby footwear sizes works yet as my baby isn't even crawling yet, but I might go back there one day for this only. read more

I'm confused about the other reviews on this page. I was traveling and stopped by here to grab some clothes for my nephews. I have shopped at a lot of Kid to Kids in Utah, where I live, and this experience was awesome! Everyone was friendly, the clothes and shoes for sale were a great range of quality and price. I am wondering if people on here are just mad that they had crappy clothes to sell to the store and the store said no? I was very happy with my experience. I even got to meet the owner, who is hilarious, by the way. I love that it's locally owned. Also, I have sold to Kid to Kids in the past, and one thing that people don't seem to get is that it is NOT consignment. They buy your stuff outright. Which is super convenient for me. Sometimes, if I feel like I deserve a better $ amount for what I'm selling, I try to sell it privately first. But overall, I just like to get some money back for my stuff. I wasted my time taking my clothes here. I took an entire bin of clothes and they rejected almost all of them saying that there were stains on my clothing, which there were not. While i was waiting for my money on the items they did take, which was only $6, i decided to check out their inventory and i was not pleased. The clothes looked so worn out, faded, and overpriced. I looked around and did not see anything that i would put on my child. I thought i was being finacially responsible by figuring that i could trade in some clothes to get my daughter some more and i was wrong. I would rather buy retail then go to this place ever again. read more

I brought a brand new crib in the original package never opened to sell to them. They tried to offer me $65. Such an insult. While this other lady brought in a box of the most raggedy clothes with stains they was offering her $150. read more

I would give this retched place negative stars if I could. I tried to sell a bunch of good quality clothing to them, and and then they said that they would have a price tomorrow and we should come the next day. So, we came the next day and they offered us seven dollars for a lot of clothing items, probably at least 20 clothing items. I thought It was really unfair because some of it was a winter jacket, and a really nice dress. I was absolutely appalled when they offered us only seven dollars for that amount of high-quality clothing. I was so appalled, that I asked if we could just have it back and donate it to the needy, NOT GREEDY! Then, they said, "well we already got rid of it and this is as much as we can give you." So apparently they took it to some place, got rid of it, (NOT EVEN USED IT IN THEIR STORE!) then made money off of it, so they give me only seven dollars and they can't even give my clothes back. I would never recommend this place to anyone! It is a ripoff! DO NOT GO HERE TO SELL ANYTHING! Have a nice day, haha..... read more
