Vintage t-shirts, tie-dye, rasta hoodies, lava lamps and black light ready concert posters can help transform any basement into Jeff Spicoli's man cave. Jerry, Jimi, Janis, Wavy Gravy, they're all here emblazoned on coffee mugs, mirrors and shot glasses. The place is a Stone Harbor groove and is not to be missed. Tell 'em Captain Trips sent you and just a gentle reminder Grasshopper, don't eat the brown acid - you may even be able to find that classic bit of Woodstock Wisdom on a hemp sweatshirt. But I came along anyway and was very pleasantly surprised! We went in to buy my grandmother a quilt for her new bed. We had some great options- some beautiful ones for $85+, and some cheaper (but still nice) ones around $40-50. We found a $45 quilt that she will really like. My mom felt that some of the prices were much better than you'd find in other places, and some of the prices were about the same. Along the way, we all managed to get sidetracked. I bought an adorable green striped apron for $12. My mom bought a bunch of striped dish towels for 50 cents each, 2 kinds of pillows (one blue with white seashells and one with red/blue stripes) for $10 each, and potholders. My sister bought some sheets for a twin-size bed which were really cheap (I believe about $15 each). The people working in the store were very friendly and offered to help us multiple times. The store wasn't very big but had a lot of fun things in it (even for someone who doesn't like linens!). It did, however, get crowded- even though we were there about 10 minutes after it opened. The selection of beaded bracelets are nice but there are also latch bracelets that caught my eye for again how stylish they are but also it's unique look. I've never seen any that looked like this. So of course I got one. Among the rest of the store, like many of the other shops in the area, unique things can be found for yourself or if you're looking to pick up gifts on your travels. Clothes, humor books, house décor as well as a yard including a single person swinging hammock. There is a nice assortment of things crammed into Madame's Port.
