In those two weeks, my four year repeatedly told me her teachers were mean and she did not want to go to school. We had to drag her through the door crying. We witnessed other children also begging not to go into the classroom. The teachers did not greet us when we walked in at all, until I complained that no one was even saying hi to my child. They say they use conscious discipline but my child was put in timeout and threatened, and the director seemed clueless about the principles of Conscious discipline. When I picked my child up on April 2nd, she immediately told me that the part time teacher in the room had grabbed her "really hard and it really hurt". She put both hands on her hips when I asked her how she was grabbed. When I asked why, she self reported that she had gotten off her letter and was not listening and the teacher was upset. However, that night at bedtime I saw the bruises on both hips in the shape of fingers and thumbs. It took a few days for all the bruises to appear fully. I kept her home from school and demanded they check their cameras. They tried to say that they couldn't find any incidents. Eventually they were able to find the incident based on all the accurate details my 4 YEAR OLD was able to tell us. I watched it and it was concerning to say the least. The teacher chased after her, grabbed her on both hips and then held her under one arm squeezing her, brought her to the other side of the classroom and put her down in a chair and pointed in her face. You can tell how angry the teacher is on the video, you obviously cannot tell how hard she grabbed her. My child scratched her at this point trying to protect herself and was sent to the office. The school agreed that the teacher should not have picked her up like she did and she is "young and inexperienced". They had just hired her. But then instead of firing her they promoted her to full time teacher in that room. They kept insisting that the bruises did not come from the teacher and they think it's a coincidence. They sent me many screenshots of Google searches on how long it takes bruises to form. It had been 10 hours from the time she was assaulted to the time I noticed the bruises, plenty of time for a young fair skinned child to bruise. People can bruise immediately . They made several comments about how they don't think the bruises happened at their school and stories of other parents who had reported them and ENDED up losing their children. This felt like a threat, like they would do anything to protect themselves. Their decision to promote the teacher was very concerning and I ended up pulling her from their care. They also kept all of my money. I paid 1800$ on the first for the whole month and the two weeks prior and was told sorry you have to give a month's notice and was not refunded at all. My child is traumatized from this school and has ptsd symptoms. She can't even be in a daycare setting anymore because of this school, she just cries for her parents and feels unsafe. It is truly heartbreaking the damage these teachers caused. They should all be ashamed of themselves. I hope no other children here have had this happen but I would be shocked if it hasn't happened before or since. Don't take your children here.

Mrs. Sandy in 0-6months is a soft spoken loving woman, I felt so comfortable leaving my baby with her and didn't want my baby to move out of her room. Mrs. Karina was her next teacher in 6-12 months and the room is still connected to Mrs. Sandy's which I liked. Mrs. K is fun, caring, and really works with the kids. She'll turn your baby into a toddler which you will love/hate :p I also have older that went here and I can say that Mrs. Jeanette and Mrs. Jessica were quickly favored. Even the teachers aids are great. They always put up new photos and charts to show what the kids have been doing and if I have any issues the director Stephanie, and the assistant director Gretchen are are wonderful, attentive leaders who get down in the trenches with their co-workers. I got on Yelp originally to look for a new day care that was closer to my house. Instead I noticed there were no reviews for this day care. I having gone here for so long I decided to write one. Angie answered all of our questions and informed us with plenty of packets about the daycare. My kids are still going to this day and they are 2 and 5. Angie has hired excellent staff and my kids have learned so much. They never complain when it is time to go to daycare. Kim and Bailey are in the infant room and they are an excellent fit for the babies. Jessica is in the 1s and she is a sweetheart as well as Miranda in the 2s room. Angie is also great with communication about the kids through out the day if I have any questions. I highly recommend SCC.

They disciplined a teacher for letting us know our daughter had been injured and that the director failed to call and let us know about it. My son got a new teacher every 2 months! I also witnessed several state regulations not being followed and teachers yelling at kids. Do not fooled by the colorful "exploratory" as it's a facade. I let never looked "played in" and I never seen any kids playing no matter what time I would arrive, my son never brought drawing home either. In my opinion, It's not a school; it's Lee's Summit's most expensive babysitting service. Do your research - I would not recommend.

The teachers were loving, caring, and even gave us their cell phone #s when we left so we could keep in contact with them. There isn't high teacher turnover at that school, and most of the teachers were there for the three years that my daughter was. Creative World is not a typical pre-school, and it seems to be closer to a Montessori learning program. Kids learn by exploration and experimenting, and their Exploratorium allows them the opportunity to experience lots of different things. We only left because my daughter was starting kindergarten. If this location had a private kindergarten, we would've kept her there. After our first parent/teacher conference in kindergarten, we knew that Creative World had been the best place for our daughter. She was developmentally and academically ahead of the other students in her class, and I attribute that to the education and care she got while attending Creative World.
