I'm giving three stars because my son and his friends had fun and at the end of the day that's what's most important but I'm still annoyed. We had initially booked a private birthday party that was, unfortunately canceled because of the weather. I was given the option of dates to reschedule, but was told instead of a private event. They only had semi private parties available and stated there would be another party taking place at the same time. I was given several dates and times to choose from an emailed back several times in an attempt to confirm date and time. I received an email receipt for a booking of that date, no call or personal email. I also sent several emails prior to both event dates asking what time I could access our space in order to set up and none of them were ever returned. Again was told you didn't have a private event slot available, but did have the semi private which we accepted based on the assumption that semi private meant instead of just our party there would be an additional party. But I did not expect was there to be an additional party, several groups, and I guess free play all happening during our "semi private event " When we arrived and checked in, we were told we were in the room on the right and only when I said, I don't know what that means or where that is did somebody get up to show us to the space. Our party was scheduled from 1 to 3 and at five or three as we were cleaning up an employee came in with giant black trash bags, and started unloading the trash. At this time that we noticed that the people waiting to get into our room for their event time had been there playing for the entire two hours of our event so there was our party group the other party group and then the 3 o'clock group there are all playing during our semi private event plus the people coming in for free play. Luckily, my son just turned five and had fun with his friends but to say I was disappointed is a very big understatement. For the price difference of having a private event to having multiple groups of people and FreePlay going on during your event isn't worth the savings read more

Sometimes you just want to mix things up with your kids OR need somewhere for them to blow off steam even if it's cold out - in comes: indoor play areas. I have been to a few in the Philly area and this is one of our favourites because it is pretty open. A lot of spaces are so jam packed with toys etc that you can feel overwhelmed and closed in... imagine how the little one feels? Here they have space to walk around, run a little without bumping into a peer. But don't get me wrong, there is lots to do: ball pit, a cute little zipline, basketball, large swing (the swing is my personal favourite because I can swing peacefully and comfortably with my son in my lap), climbing etc etc. There is even a small toddler corner for more quiet play for the young ones. Adults are very welcome (and can technically use the zipline...if you can manage to fit, lol) And there is LOTS of seating that isn't on the floor. The price is ok - there are definitely more affordable options but at $20 it's not too bad (price for 1 child + an adult for free play; monthly membership is $75) I can see where the money goes in terms of cleanliness etc. Also, this probably goes without saying but please WATCH your children here. There isn't a lot of staff around (I usually just see one person at the front check in desk) and I don't think it's their job to watch the children...but it is VERY easy for a child to just walk out and I'm not sure the front desk staff would stop them. One of the days I was there, I witnessed a child say he wanted to go home then try to leave... It's a shoeless facility so bring socks (there are some there for sale). I've heard about this place post-COVID, especially as the weather gets colder and the outdoor playground becomes more challenging. As far as COVID precautions, the staff are always wearing face shields and masks and take extra time in between each shift to clean the equipment. I like this place because there's something for everyone: drawing stations, interactive floors, ball pits and even a bow and arrow station. My daughter loved running around, exploring, and our time flew by without issues. The one issue to note is that the usual road that leads up to Kids at play was under construction and we walked half a mile to get to it. It wasn't until we got there that we learned that you could drive a bit more north, and go through a bunch of detours to get to Kids at play, just an FYI. read more

Attending on a hot summer day hoping to get cooled off. Unfortunately there was no AC running and it was extremely hot in the place. Only got an hour out of the kids before they got bored. I don't like how it is set up either as there were too many collisions with kids running into each other (it is not very big). Caregivers/adults have to pay $5 to enter. Just felt like it was one of my least favorite places I've ever taken the grandkids to. Will not go again. read more

for starters the customer service is great IF YOU CAN get in touch with some one they were veg unprofessional when it came to me and my child I was trying to book an event and was told my time slot was secured until I came in to see the place in person I went to see the plave very clean and kid friendly but my day was apparently SOLD WITH OUT my knowledge or a heads up i left multiple voice mails emails and notes from the website and no one srill hasn't reach back out to this day . I sent the date and address out for my sons party still withouth an response the website says book 2 weeks in advance I called planning this party 4 weeks in advance and I went to see the place the 2 week when it actully should of been booked in the first place because the party was happening 2 weeks after going to visit the place . no one has reached out or thought to no one's has tried to call back at all . and they will tell you to book through there website because thats how they get you especially for PRIVATE EVENTS. !!!!!! almost 4 hundred dollars for only 2 hours and the extra fees and rules they implied .. read more

If you haven't brought your child to Kids At Play yet, it's a MUST. I have been very careful with my daughter ever since covid begun and I feel safe taking my child here. They are very clean and organized, they have things for every child there. My daughter has learned many new things while bringing her to Kids at Play from other children and the activities / toys the facility has. Everyone wears their masks CORRECTLY - and the workers are beyond amazing, making it very welcoming each and everytime for you and your little ones. I'm pretty sure my daughter is excited to see the workers everytime we walk in as well. I recommend this place to anyone with children and the pictures of my daughter from Kids at Play speak for themselves. read more

We have brought both our kids here for different therapies. We have Miss Lauren as our speech therapist and she is incredible. My daughter is picky and took to her straight away. We have seen a large improvement in her speech. We also had my sons 5th birthday party here over the summer and the kids had a blast! read more

The place is great during off peak times (weekdays before 4:00) but come on a weekend and heaven help you, it's straight up Lord of the Flies. There are way, WAY too many parents who treat the place as a daycare and are completely out of sight while their kids run wild. My kid got hit in the head twice by other aggressive kids who were throwing things. I get it, kids throw things and play rough, but the bigger problem is that when it happens there isn't anyone to help because the parents are nowhere to be found. And the staff doesn't get involved. I'm sure they mean well but ultimately they rely on the parents to watch their own kids (makes sense) but sadly so many do not. My advice: try to come on a weekday during the day. Otherwise may the odds be ever in your favor. read more

What a great time for everyone! I went to kids at play to drop off my 5yr old at a birthday party but ended up staying for a while as my 7yr old - who came with me - was enamored by the virtual playground. (And I didn't mind staying as I practiced "safe tip" archery upstairs!) (To tell you the end of this story.. when we were heading back to pick my 5yr old, my 7yr old begged me to pick up his 3yr old sister from her cousins house because of how excited he was to show her everything at the Kids at Play arena.) read more

Great place to take kids to let them burn out energy, especially when the weather is not great outside! It has a large jungle gym, ball pits, zip line, mini roller coaster (step2 one), some trampoline activities and some interactive activities. There is even a sectioned off small area for very young toddlers. Very cool place, my 2 boys loved it! read more

I took my grandchildren here after my granddaughter had a birthday party there. It is indeed an amazing facility and I was about to join. HOWEVER, the 3 star rating is because the facility is not kept up properly. There were NO PAPER TOWELS in the bathrooms. I questioned two women who are on the staff and they both said the owner ordered them but the towels did not arrive. i said somewhat sarcastically that the local CVS carries paper towels. The tables were dirty and I only found out later that there were Lysol wipes at the front desk. There was no one at the front desk for long periods of time. IF I return I will need to bring my own roll of paper towels!!! read more

Great fun for kids, they can really get their sillies out. Have only been during off hours weekdays ,so has not been crowded. Staff can be hard to find at times. Parents and kids need socks, cleanliness pretty good except found gum on on a ball in the ball pit one time. read more

We'd been meaning to check out Kids at Play for a few months, and as soon as I found it that they were having $5 open gym times all January, we made a beeline to this indoor play utopia. My son, six, loved it. The space contains a zipline (kids 5 and up), a mini car coaster/race area, slides, archery, toys, and more. There's a sitting area for parents as well as vending machines for snacks (or grown ups can get a $1 coffee). The building also offers classes and therapy (physical, occupational), but we haven't tried those. Parking is free and close by. With the $5 deal, I'm sure we'll be back many more times this January. read more

This is a really cool spot to take a child to. I took my 1.5 year old and he loved it. There was a lot of different things to do and overall, it's a very chill and relaxed environment. He loved the car rollercoaster, the ball pits, the individual rooms with music makers, the slides, and the overall large area to run around and have fun. The girl working the front desk was really polite and helpful too. We will be returning, for sure. read more

I just recently took my one year old son there for his therapy session and I was impressed and surprised! All of the equipment are really made for smaller kids and to increase and encourage their motor skills and overall development. My son showed the first signs of coming out his shell and talked way more then I ever heard him before in a short period of time! He had fun and really enjoyed the sensory equipment ! read more

We just had my son's 4th birthday party there and it was a perfect space for it. They have a great party room on the second floor so you get some separate space for your party. We had guests range in age from 7 months to 5 years old and they all had a great time and were able to find activities geared towards their ages. Even some cousins who are in their teens had a good time running around. We have also been there for their open play which is great for when the weather is bad outside. read more

I have been looking for a place like this! This is an indoor playground for kids. The drop-in, open play time is great! This was perfect for my 5 year old daughter and her friends to run around, slide, swing, do a zip line, play a floor interactive game, jump on a trampoline, and ride a car. After 2 hours of sweating, she still didn't want to leave. This is perfect for the winter, rainy days, or really hot days in the summer. There is an art room that we didn't play in, but it looked great. There is also a fenced off section for smaller kids. So happy to have this in our neighborhood! They also have classes that I haven't looked into yet, but I will. read more
