Just what I needed…read more... I've been wanting to get to an indoor pool since last year! I looked up different locations and came across this one. I went in because everytime I called I would get nothing but answering machines. The lady at the front desk was so helpful and kind. She asked me if I wanted a tour of the facility and I said yes. A young man gave me the tour and showed me all they had to offer for children teens and adults. The gym is nice and they have classes as well. The facility is very nice and staff at the front desk was very welcoming. I'm looking forward to returning again and again.

We were here last year, came back this year, and already know we'll be back next year. The staff has worked with us financially to make camp possible for all three girls, and that has meant more to our family than I can explain. There were times when my husband and I genuinely had nowhere else for the girls to go, and they made sure our girls still had a safe, fun place to spend their days and were able to have a full and amazing summer. We jokingly call it "swim camp" in our house because they swim every single day, which is easily one of the girls' favorite parts! One of our daughters, Stevie, is autistic and has a PDA profile, and the staff has been incredibly patient, understanding, and accommodating with her. They listened to us, worked with us, and made sure she felt supported without ever making her feel singled out or like she was a problem. We are genuinely so grateful for this camp and the people who run it. Our girls have made wonderful summer memories here, and knowing they are somewhere they are cared for and loved gives us so much peace of mind. We LOVE them and cannot recommend the summer camp enough. We'll see you next summer!

The swim instructor was hesitant to get in the water. At first I thought, "this is great.; she's sitting on the edge of the pool to see what I needed work on" Fast forward to the second class in and I was in disbelief. She actually NEVER got in the pool. Apparently getting her hair wet is a big no-no! Furthermore, the place is very messy. The building is old. I decided to take the plunge (no pun intended) since the price was reasonable but would not recommend this place for swim classes for adults.

They are about once a month May to October, typically on a Sunday around 10:30 AM with a Bicycle ride there from Fairmount Bicycle at 10 AM. Free for members $10 for non-members, check out both websites for updates on the exact dates. Bicycle's and helmets are provided if you need them. There is a small intro lesson is given and pointers while you ride. It's a great way to get on the track before it opens to the public and build up some confidents on the track. I've been to 4 of these events so far and the staff is fabulous. The people who come are always super friendly it's a really outstanding event. The Philly Pumptrack itself is free to the public and open seasonally weather permitting. They use to also provided bikes to rent but due to some theft issues that is on hold at the moment so you would currently need your own bike if you plan to visit. But they really doing a lot to help the local neighborhood the reside in especially getting kids active and engaged. Our group had so much fun! Twin Rivers is very relaxed and gives you a lot of freedom. It was a…read morevery straightforward set up - check in and get your life vests, take their shuttle bus to the starting point on the river, get whatever style tube you paid for (we chose tubes with backrests and one cooler tube), and get out on the water! We slowly floated down the river, listened to music on our small portable speaker, swam around, made a short stop along a rocky bank at the edge of the water, and got to the end point after just over 3 hours. We got the shuttle bus back to the Twin Rivers office to drop off the life vests, then went back to our car in the parking deck right across the street. Very simple, and lots of fun!

The ball fields are well maintained but there's a mural from the 80s that is tired and worn and the space as a whole is not used properly. It looks like it was an old basketball court but they only took some parts down. There are several enclosed spaces for hockey practice, tennis and what looks to be a batting cage. These fenced-in areas have been abused as people use them to unleash their dog but do not clean up after them. I would love to see this place utilized better as it is a nice multipurposed area. There's a decent parking lot, too. I like to take my dog over to this area but it does seem isolated and not that well lit. As a young woman walking by myself, it doesn't seem safe with only just two outlets, one behind clubhouse with a bridge and a desolate passageway to Indian Queen. Even during the day, this could be a dangerous spot as the traffic is loud below the bridge and there's not much foot traffic. The other is the long lane out from the parking lot to Scotts Lane. A gate in the right outfield would be helpful but I am sure that's an issue, as there's a train and an intersection right behind there. My concern is: I have been there when there were some J.D.s hanging. Naturally, I was scanning the perimeter for exits and my options were not plentiful. It's kind of a hidden recreational center and would be a safer place if there was more access rather than these two long paths out. Like I said, a great, useful space but where it's positioned geographically and the design is a bit questionable.

They weren't open yet when we arrived, so we waited 15 minutes for them to prep the courses. There are picnic tables and port-a-potties available for use at the entrance. One of the employees got us all checked in and provided gloves, which were free since the tickets were purchased via Groupon. You can choose from small, medium, large or extra large sizes. We stood on the deck and got our harnesses on and tightened by an employee. He went over some safety rules and we completed a trial course to ensure we understood the procedures for zip lining. Once he cleared us, we were free to navigate the park on our own! We started with course 2, then we moved on to course 4. After that we completed course 3 and finally course 1. Some of the courses were challenging but all of them were equally fun. It was a gloomy day so it wasn't busy and we felt like we could take our time completing each obstacle. The zip lining was especially thrilling and the harness is comfortable enough where you don't feel any pressure in your thighs. Treetop Quest was a blast and I hope to be back in the summer months!

Highly recommended summer day camp for kids Grade 1 through 8 during the month of July only. My son…read morehad a total blast at this camp and learned a lot with his fellow campers. College students in the education department lead this program, with close guidance from their professors. There are plenty of outdoor activities as well as indoor lessons. The price was unbelievable, just $150 a week. Does not include lunch, we were asked to brown bag it. For an 8 to 4 day camp, I'm sure you will never beat that. Nothing even comes close.
