One of my daughters had worked on the "K" sound for months at a different facility. After the first session here, I saw the improvement and she nailed it by the second session. They love to come to their sessions and it's an exciting event for them, they look forward to seeing their therapist. We have now been attending a few months and I see the outstanding improvement in their speech development and growth. Front desk is very responsive and always available. I love the decor themes they promote each month. It has been a wonderful experience to learn techniques and strategies to help our girls. We also receive session debriefs and play activities to practice at home.

They supported and encouraged me to attend graduate school and always cheered me on along the way. They have different areas therapists can work in such as in the school setting, home health, and in the clinic and they make every attempt to place a therapist as close to their house as possible. RZT also has great perks such as providing health care, dental, vision, money towards CEUS, and extra opportunities to make earn extra money by supervising (if you're a SLP) or by picking up extra home health clients. It has been a pleasure to work with them and I would have continued working for them if I wasn't moving out of state.

The ABA provider was accredited and experienced, and was instrumental in helping us get the school to work with us to make his accommodations help him to catch up to his peers in his development and skills. He has been fully matriculated with his NT peers throughout his schooling, and is doing amazingly well. The difference between when he started at A Brighter Ave, and now, is outstanding. For example, He had trouble with verbal communication, and reading, but now you'd never be able to tell that he ever had an issue. We'll be grateful for the help he received and the start he got at A Brighter Ave.

0 stars if I could. This place is trash. If you expect quality ABA therapy for your child this is…read morethe last place you should take them. Brighter Ave. is nothing more then a day care center. We wasted a year and a half of our sons precious time at this place. Studies show the earlier children start quality ABA therapy the better. Makes a dramatic difference on how much the child will improve. Thats a year and a half we can't get back and our son is getting older almost ready to start school. Since we started at Life Skills Academy in Mesa 3 months ago He has made more improvement by far then he did at brighter ave in the year and half he was there. We can only wonder how well he'd be doing if he had quality ABA from the start. If I knew what I know now I would have left a lot sooner. I made a big sacrifice driving over a hour from our home and sat in the car all day waiting for him It was all for nothing. The BCBA's they hire won't stay because Ownership just cares about the bottom line $ and not the care of the children. They don't give them what they need. They have no ethics. The turnover rate for all employees at this place is horrific. My son had a new speech therapist every couple of months cause nobody wants to work there. They opened a new facility with a new business model. That would allow them to have more clients (more money) The daily schedule was changing and they promised they would accommodate my sons scheduling needs. I have multiple texts and emails promising they could and not to worry. I signed a document written by the staff agreeing to his schedule.

But we are more willing to make the 12-15 min drive for better care than someone who shoves their agendas down you kids throat. The only dislike we have is their time frame when it come to call outs. Since my son is in kindergarten from 7:40-11:45 and our appt is always at 1 we never know how much he will be able to tolerate after he gets out of a school. So if he is having mental breakdown they don't care. You have to bring them in otherwise you start getting charged for each missed appt. Starts to really add up. There are days i really want to pull him because of their policy. But because of how much progress he's made there we haven't pulled him.

How on earth does this help with emotional regulation skills? How does forcing a child who struggles with fine motor skills benefit from this? It's appalling that an educated person would think 1. They can discipline another persons child and 2. Forcing a child who struggles with writing to write as a form of control and punishment would ever work. This doesn't work! There is no evidence that this works. What an embarrassment to the establishment.

So...we had cancer surgery last year. Plus chemo, and all the recovery that goes with it. On our…read morerecent follow-up with the surgeon, she recommended physical therapy (why didn't she recommend that last year??!!). And, specifically, she mentioned Bustillo Physical Therapy. Have had several sessions now, and I can see why. Most PT offices will have you do stretches and exercises. Which is fine. But this office appears to be one of the few that knows how to handle cancer survivors. After the initial evaluation, the first thing that happened was a sort of massage of the affected area. This is to reactivate the damaged lymph system in that area, to counteract lymphedema. Most other PT offices won't do that. In fact, we consulted our massage therapists, and they said that even they don't do that. Each session begins with the lymphedema massage. Karen is a PhD in physical therapy (per the diploma on the wall). Maybe that has something to do with it. We have noted great improvement in range of motion, swelling, and pain in the upper body. We still need to work the lower body, but hopefully they'll get to that soon. They are starting to work strength now, because flexibility has improved so much. The two things to "ding" them for is: 1) they don't have a lot of equipment, and 2) their layout is not the best. I'm not sure if different equipment would benefit us or not, but they don't have a lot of equipment so we can't really know anyway. However, using the simple tools they do have we have seen a lot of improvement. As for their layout, the biggest thing is that the work/exercise area is also the traffic area. So you're standing doing arm curls, and someone has to go past you, you have to move to allow them to pass you. That shouldn't be. Someone's workout program should not be interrupted because another person needs to go by you to use the restroom, or needs to get to the elastic bands, or whatever. I'm not an expert at designing layouts, but there should be a way to have an unobstructed path that doesn't disturb patients' routines. This doesn't take away from the vast improvements we are seeing, but it is an annoyance that should be addressed somehow. This is one of those situations where I'd like to be able to do a half star (4.5 stars), but Yelp doesn't do that. We are happy with the results so far, and are looking forward to further improvement.

I highly recommend Bustillo PT aka ROC physical therapy…read more Everyone is exceptionally knowledgeable as well as friendly. My wife started therapy first. I needed therapy shortly thereafter and Trish and others that handled the phones juggled things so we could have therapy at the same time since we drive approx 12 miles to the facility. Miche is our principal therapist and is absolutely 10 of 10. When things get busy the other therapists switch off and know what they are doing. I have been to other therapists and this crew is top notch. One office in Scottsdale actually aggravated my condition. I did not return. Karen, the owner? Manager? Has put a great team together. My only reservation is that by reading this review so many will go there and they won't have enough time for my wife & me. (I make Joke). Happy to be able to give a great review. Ernie S.
