She is doing great with Drew. She has been up walking with assistance and Drew has all the patience and does his job with a smiling face. You can tell he enjoys helping people. What a great asset to this company. I even had him work on me with my back. I'm telling you when mom goes into hospital and than rehab facility the staff all know about "Drew" I also had a lady named Kennedy working on my back and she is good as well. I just love how there is no rushing and the therapist stays with you for one full hr. Can't say enough about AZOPT. I THANK YOU & SO DOES MY MOM!

I am extremely disappointed with the unprofessional treatment I received from a Spanish-speaking…read morereceptionist who identified herself as Jasmine. Yesterday, my son had occupational and speech therapy. While I was there, I specifically spoke with the front desk because my son had recently been approved for ALTCS. I gave them his new insurance information and asked what the next steps would be for him to receive more than 30 minutes of therapy. Two staff members spent several minutes reviewing everything and eventually explained that I needed to contact his DDD coordinator and that his pediatrician would need to send a new referral before he could continue receiving additional therapy. They returned the insurance information I had given them and specifically told me that they did not need to change anything in their system because his ID number was the same. At NO point did either employee tell me that there was an issue with his insurance coverage, that his therapies that day might not be covered, or that I could potentially be responsible for paying for them. Today, Jasmine, who was not there during yesterday's conversation, called me and asked whether my son was with DDD. I told her yes and explained that I had already informed the office yesterday that he had been approved for ALTCS. Instead of trying to understand what had happened, she immediately began blaming me for not notifying them while his ALTCS application was still in process. I explained that I was NEVER told I was required to notify the office while his application was pending. In fact, I had not brought my son to therapy for the previous weeks, and Jasmine herself was the person who called ME to schedule yesterday's appointment. When she scheduled it, she never told me there was an issue with his previous insurance, never asked if I had new insurance, and never asked whether I would be paying out of pocket. Instead of acknowledging that there had clearly been a communication failure on their end as well, Jasmine repeatedly told me that I NEEDED TO BE A RESPONSIBLE MOM and that AS A RESPONSIBLE MOM I SHOULD HAVE NOTIFIED THEM. Then, in a mocking and condescending manner, she asked me, "SO YOU JUST APPLIED FOR ALTCS YESTERDAY?" even though I had already explained that I informed their staff yesterday that my son had been APPROVED. When I corrected her and explained that obviously I could not have applied yesterday if I was telling them he was already approved, she responded that this meant I had been going through the process for a while and should have notified them sooner. I found the entire interaction incredibly disrespectful and unprofessional. My responsibility as a mother should NEVER be questioned by a receptionist over an insurance or administrative issue. I personally went to the front desk, provided my son's new insurance information, explained that he had been approved for ALTCS, asked what I needed to do next, and followed the information THEIR STAFF gave me. Jasmine eventually told me to call the insurance company myself to find out whether they would cover the therapies from yesterday and that otherwise I would have to pay for them. Insurance misunderstandings can happen, and I would have been completely willing to discuss the situation and find a solution. What I will NOT accept is being blamed, spoken down to, mocked, and repeatedly told that I NEEDED TO BE A RESPONSIBLE MOM, especially when their own staff had my son's insurance information in their hands the day before and never informed me there was a coverage issue. There is a professional way to communicate with parents. Questioning my parenting because of an insurance issue was completely unnecessary and crossed a line. I sincerely hope management addresses this situation with Jasmine and reviews how their front desk handles insurance changes and communicates with parents so another family does not have the same experience.

Alexa was able to build a meaningful connection with her right away, and I remember telling her, "I think this is her best day yet." That feeling has continued ever since, and my daughter looks forward to every session. I had the opportunity to observe the evaluation process, and I was amazed by how engaged my 5-year-old was throughout. I was especially impressed by how well she responded to Alexa. It was incredible to see her expressive and receptive language skills showcased so clearly and to gain a better understanding of where she was developmentally and the plan of care that would help her continue to grow. What stands out most is the amount of thought and preparation Alexa puts into every session. She carefully tailors her lessons to meet my daughter's individual needs, interests, and goals. Therapy is fun, engaging, and motivating for her, and she eagerly participates in every activity. She is constantly learning, growing, and building new skills because of the meaningful and personalized approach Alexa provides. Alexa's knowledge, dedication, and genuine care for her clients are evident in everything she does. We are incredibly grateful for the positive impact she has had on our daughter's communication and overall development. We truly love working with Alexa and highly recommend her.

But we are more willing to make the 12-15 min drive for better care than someone who shoves their agendas down you kids throat. The only dislike we have is their time frame when it come to call outs. Since my son is in kindergarten from 7:40-11:45 and our appt is always at 1 we never know how much he will be able to tolerate after he gets out of a school. So if he is having mental breakdown they don't care. You have to bring them in otherwise you start getting charged for each missed appt. Starts to really add up. There are days i really want to pull him because of their policy. But because of how much progress he's made there we haven't pulled him.

How on earth does this help with emotional regulation skills? How does forcing a child who struggles with fine motor skills benefit from this? It's appalling that an educated person would think 1. They can discipline another persons child and 2. Forcing a child who struggles with writing to write as a form of control and punishment would ever work. This doesn't work! There is no evidence that this works. What an embarrassment to the establishment.

Considering the amount this company makes billing insurance and/or ESA accounts, I expected a larger establishment or at least multiple gyms to better accommodate children. Another issue is that occupational therapy and physical therapy sessions take place in the same small room, which can be overwhelming and distracting for kids. I also highly recommend parents go back with their child, because I've overheard therapists say things like, "I know you don't want to go back to mom but our time is almost done." That was disappointing to hear, especially since that particular therapist once had such positive energy and tone. Additionally, I've witnessed therapists on their phones during sessions. One therapist was on her phone so long that my daughter mistook it for screen time. Another was pushing a child on a swing while scrolling on her phone. To be fair, I have seen some very positive and dedicated therapists here, but unfortunately they are mixed in with others who seem far too comfortable and disengaged. I don't enjoy writing negative reviews, but as a parent I feel exhausted and disheartened with the quality of care in DDD services. Vulnerable children and families deserve better.
