Angie loves to swear to adults in front of the children, she has done it multiple times in my presence. I've even heard her yell at children for not speaking to other staff while using the bathroom. I was never given the parent handbook- but was still forced to sign the intake papers claiming that I had received it before they'd accept my child into their daycare. The daycare smells of feces as soon as you open the door, is dark & dingy as well. THIS ISN'T EVEN THE WORST PART! One day I showed up at nap time to find my daughter sleeping with a bib on and a blanket wrapped around her head. She could have suffocated. My daughter was not given anything to drink for 9 hours her last Monday there. Emma tried to justify it by saying that the daycare needs a consent form to spill out old juice before they'll make a new bottle for the child. I called head office to complain about this that very night because Angie was not around at the time. They told me that there was no such thing as a consent form for that. I was given nothing but attitude from (Babycare Daycare) since my complaint. Head office also tried to justify Emma's actions by claiming that she is young and they have had to do lots of training with her. That is no excuse. If she is not qualified to take care of toddlers- then why is she even working there unsupervised in the first place? My daughter went there for less than a month and I have already pulled her out and placed her elsewhere. She was only 13 months old, and obviously cannot speak up for herself. For her first daycare- I am extremely offended and hurt that they would treat anyone's children in such a malicious manner. Upon sharing my story, I was informed by another mother who lives in the apartment building that she has personally witnessed staff violently pick up children by one arm as well as sit on their phones opposed to supervise the children while playing outside in the playground behind our apartment building. I gave them a bad review on Google Maps- just to have other people try to discredit my review and say that I had screamed at the staff and called them names. I would never act like that- especially if I needed something as important as child care during the week while I'm at work / school. I also didn't even bring most of this stuff up to the staff because I don't feel that it's necessary to have to tell 'professionals' how to properly care for my little one. I've also noticed that my review has been removed from that (Google Maps) site. I just want every child to be safe and not be neglected by people who are supposed to care for our children when we cannot- hence why I've gone to these extremes. Please, do not place your children under the 'care' or 'supervision' of these people. There are way better daycares out there that are very clean, brightly lit, do not smell like feces and actually have kind / caring staff, as well as a proper curriculum for toddlers! My twins where close to 2.5 years old when…read morethey started, and due to covid had lived a very isolated life until this point, this was the first day care we ever used, and it was a daunting experience for both my kids and me. The staff have been amazing, and I want to especially mention Ms Angela, who was their first (& longest) care giver, she was so kind and patient with them both. My daughter still has major anxiety leaving us in the morning (I don't think this has anything to do with the day care, just she doesn't like being apart from her parents), Ms Angela every morning took time out, to greet her, and sit and cuddle with her until she settled. She was always very content and happy when I went to collect her, I do think this is a separation anxiety and the care Ms Angela showed will always stay in my mind, I'm eternally grateful for her and all the teachers who have taken care of my kids. I've never seen anything that has caused me any concern, and when it comes to my kids I am very cautious. I've no hesitations to recommend this facility to anyone. It is also more affordable than many other locations. If I had to say anything negative which isn't a reflection on staff, is that the back rooms have no direct sun light, I was 100% aware of that when I started the kids, but given the affordability factor, I didn't let that influence my decision. Also there is a new director who started a month or two ago, Ms Leslie, she seems super nice, friendly, organised and is very responsive if you email about anything. I never write reviews but I know how difficult it is to choose a day care for the most precious people in our lives, honestly I would recommend checking this team and facility out. The only reason we are moving from here is it only goes to age 3, so my kids are moving on to another facility ran by the same people. I would suggest that when one staff member left this year things have gone somewhat downhill. I don't require daycare over the summer....my child's first school year was acceptable and they told me they'd hold a spot for her in September 2009. THIS year, however, they are saying that the "can't" hold spots for kids in September and my child will be put on a wait list and I'll be told sometime in early August. This year...2009-2010 (Sept - June) I've watched the hours change which is fine, the staff change, somewhat disconcerning and their rules seem to change. I'm guessing the reason that they won't hold my child's spot is because they only had about three kids from St. Bernadette going to that daycare and they are too lazy to walk them to school. Also if you do decide to use this daycare be wary of the time they say they are bring the kids back from school...they write one time...but it's not the actual time that they get there...try twenty to thirty minutes after that time...can we say trying to look good for government subsities?? I'm a little unhappy about the treatment I'm getting from them (can you tell?) As I've paid full price (no subsity for me), always on time and I'm NEVER late to pick up my child. I realize that if they can fill the spot with a child who not only needs daycare for the school year but over the summer too they should fill the spots HOWEVER I think it's poor customer service to be leaving good customers out in the cold....

My daughter went here for a year until I went on maternity leave with her brother, and I intend to send both of my kids there when I return to work. The staff are very friendly and clearly care about the children that are in there care. They had put me at ease since the first day that I dropped my almost one year old daughter off upon my return to work. I really appreciate that they have a clear routine and schedule, and my daughter seemed to had learned something new every day. I feel that she has been socialized well, and being at the daycare has brought out her best qualities. The facility itself could use a few upgrades, but it is kept very clean, and it isn't lacking anything that the kids really need. I love that my daughter brought home a lot of crafts, and if I ever had to pick her up early, I would frequently walk in on the staff singing and dancing with the kids, or reading them interactive stories. My daughter would run in and hug the staff who greeted her warmly every morning when I dropped her off, and she easily made friends there too. It was very hard for me to take my daughter away from Bambi, and I am looking forward to having her return there.

My six year old grandchild was left at school and had to walk back (by herself) to daycare when it was their responsibility to take her to school and pick her up after school. Then one day their toilets was plugged and my granddaughter has to go to the washroom and use the toilet and because it could not be flushed she was made to pick out her waste in the toilet (disregarding who ever else used that toilet) with a paper napkin and put it in the garbage. One day I went to pick them up and all I heard was one of the workers complaining VERY LOUDLY about some parents not letting them know when they pick up their children and this was done in front of me and the children. From this outburst I notice that .the actions of this daycare worker did not seemed to bother any of the children so I assumed that this must be a every day thing. Also another time I went to pick up my grandchildren, my six year old was crying by herself in another room and her care worker paid no attention to her until I asked my grandchild why was she crying that is when her care worker started to act all concerned because I was there. This written review is about things that I have witnessed and was reported to me by my daughter and granddaughters and this is probably only a small sample of what goes on in this daycare.
