I brought my 6 month old son here because it was recommended by a friend, but we will never be returning. The front desk staff and nurses were very nice, but the provider that we saw was awful. She didn't listen to anything that I was trying to tell her about my son's symptoms and simply dismissed everything. She made me feel like I was wasting her time and didn't help us at all, basically said to go home and wait for him to throw up again. The visit was a complete waste of time and money and we left with no answers and no path forward to make my son better. I recommend going somewhere else. read more

Great experience at this kids' urgent care. I brought my daughter in with a bad flu and heavy congestion, and the doctor was very patient and thorough. She gave her a nebulizer and waited until she could properly hear her lung sounds, which really put me at ease. We never felt rushed, and everyone was kind and caring. The doctors and nurses at this facility are wonderful but some of their front desk administrative people and especially their office manager were horrible! Disrespectful, unkind and should be fired if it were my business. My son and I stood stunned as the office manager treated us so unkindly and disrespectful. I had had an incident where one of their front desk people hung up the phone on me after they failed to call in a prescription for my son's earache that I went to pick up at CVS. Accidents can often happen but treating people with kindness, empathy, and a...."what can I do to make it right and help", attitude goes a long way. On our next visit their office manager came in a thin gentleman who was rude beyond belief!!! This is for the billing department. Service was conducted in April 2025. We paid the bill immediately in April. We've received phone calls from Nick in the billing department in July. Supplied them with the copy of the payment remittance in July. Received collections notice in September, sent them another statement showing the amount exiting our account. The billing department called again asking for us to contact our bank and have asked to supply the same statement we've provided repeatedly. Both my husband and are extremely frustrated and will not recommend this place of business. I've tried to escalate to no avail. Went in because I suspected blood in my son's stool. I brought his diaper in just in the case the provider wanted to examine it. She asked me a myriad of detailed questions about the appearance of the sample but yet refused to look at the sample. From start to finish-- the air she gave was one of disgust and reluctance to treat my child. Rolled her eyes several times at me and scoffed at my questions. She didn't even introduce herself when she came in. My son is only 16 months and she did not approach him with the friendliness and warmth you would a child of that age-- just came in and started handling him- rather un-gently, I might add. He screamed the entire time, as he had been all day. The complete and utter lack of compassion from the provider was shocking. The staff also gave the appearance of not caring. One MA almost threw out the sample I brought in instead of sending it to the lab and another did not wear gloves. I definitely did not feel good about the visit and took my son to another urgent care (PM pediatrics) afterwards- where he was treated like an actual human being and the exam was much more comprehensive. I've been here twice with two of my kids at different times. I was in and out in under and hour. The staff is professional and compassionate. This business is what will put private practices out of business! I'll go here every time! They keep your CC on file, which I was skeptical about BUT unlike other companies, within a month of visiting, I get an email stating how much, after insurance, they'll be charging my CC and when. It's $80 in our pediatrician's office for a sick visit, and it usually takes MONTHS before we are billed! $20 is cheaper than our wellness visits at the peds office too. So grateful for this place! We have been getting medical care from KIDS Urgent Care for the last 5 years and I am incredibly grateful for the love and attention my two boys have received. We are currently in a situation where our son need to be sent for further evaluation at a children's hospital and the front office staff have been incredible in helping us get records sent over ASAP. Both of the men we have worked with at the front desk have been compassionate, helpful and extremely timely in getting done what we need in order to be seen at Lurie's. Daughter was in real pain, didn't know what was open on a Sunday .. went here. Office staff were cold and disconnected, told me I had to register first, through my phone, they took my insurance card, but then I had to take photos of my insurance card through their system?? Which didn't load pages?? Two young inexperienced office staff who stood there not doing anything to help.. their system must not have been working either since they just sat in front of the computer screen doing nothing saying nothing after I asked them to help me register on their computer. Even the gentleman dressed like a doctor didn't seem interested in helping. I called out to him and asked if he could help us, which he asked a couple questions and said we needed to register first. I guess someone needs to make sure they get paid? I can't say it was exactly a pleasant experience. I would say medical experience, but in my opinion this isn't a medical facility, more like a poorly run business. The young man finally said I don't need to be rude.. and to be fair I think he's right, I don't need to be rude; my daughter in my arms screaming, terrified as a parent and the people I thought could help are simply standing there not trying to help in any way, while I try to register on my phone w one hand, checking to make sure the screen grab of my insurance card is ok, phone asking me if I'd like to let this website use my phone's camera... While trying to register I received the below screen shot. I showed it to the girl, she told me they also have free Wi-Fi for which she could give me the passcode. After I heard her say this I left. The good news is there is real medical help which we went to after this joke was over. In my candid opinion I have no ill feeling to the staff, it's the job of owners and management to share their vision, train and make sure employees are well cared for.. companies w happy customers have employees who know they're cared for. read more

I've had to bring my kiddo here twice and while I never want to visit an urgent care, I'm so glad this place exists. First of all, do you ever feel like you're time traveling backwards when visiting a doctor? This place is completely paperless which is a blessing when you're flustered and have to fill out forms while trying to wrangle a sick kid. The waiting area is great because it gives off a less sterile feel. My kid was pretty nervous on her last visit and she was able to get a little playing done before we were called in. Bedside manner was great both times we've been here. They did so well with calming my daughter down while providing a thorough exam. We were in and out and had a prescription in about an hour the last time we came. The front office always follows up and they were able to walk me through how to get a doctor's note to let my kid go back to school. read more

What a perfect place to take your child when your pediatrician is unavailable. I have a hard time finding a urgent care that will confidently see a pediatric patient. I love that KIDS Urgent Care has on site xrays, labs, and check up rooms just for kids. Having everything in house is super convenient and lovely! You won't have a situation where you take your kid into urgent care only to be told you'll have to take them to the hospital for an X-ray IV! Trust me this happens a lot.The doctors are pediatric docs so you know you're getting first class care for you little one. I often question regular urgent care docs because I know they aren't pediatric specialists. I feel confident in bring my kids here knowing that nothing will fly under the radar! PLUS it's fun! The staff is so kind. The doctor we saw was knowledgeable and also very sweet to my baby! They also provide a pretty sweet play area for your kids to wait in! The office and rooms are clean. I have had several good experiences however the last few were awful. The staff was rude, cold and has no place being in Pediatrics!! The staff spent more time socializing with each other rather then caring for sick kids!! When I did advocate for son I was made to feel like the bad guy! We had a scheduled appointment. Upon arrival, we were at the top of the scheduled appointment list. We stayed in the same spot for an hour and twenty minutes. One patient was called back in the first hour. Two more patients right before we left. When I inquired, I was told three more walk in patients were ahead of us, despite our scheduled time. I understand the time of the year brings an influx of illness, but they are not prepared to handle the number of appointments they're booking. They should reduce their bookings or restructure their system to better accommodate what they're booking. We ended up leaving without being seen. read more

I am so grateful this place is here and in network for our insurance. We were in town visiting from California and our 5 year old ended up getting one heck of a splinter that we couldn't get out. Everyone from the front desk, to the assistants, and doctor were fantastic getting his mind off of what they were doing while taking care of his foot. We Went here because this was close to our home and decided to try it out since our insurance accepted it. Inside they have a whole "Mars" climbing play set and a giant LiteZilla set on the wall. Comfy chairs with coffee, water and even iPads for the children in the waiting area make this a very welcoming office for kids of all ages. The receptionist was nice and informing. We were greeted by Nick who took us to the room and took my sons vitals. He did such a wonderful job and made sure my son felt comfortable the entire time. The doctor came in, talked with us and provided us with a course of action for my sons illness. Overall this place is extremely clean, very welcoming and the staff is AMAZING. Shout out to the entire crew here (especially Nick!) for making this trip very easy and convenient. We will be coming here from now on for any urgent matters. read more

It is a great place to take your kids for non-emergency situations. The staff is friendly, the office is clean and lots of things for kids to do while their name is called. My complaint goes towards a particular doctor, Dr. Karen Walker and this is the second time we were seen by her and both times have been unpleasant. The first time I didn't write a review because hey we all have bad days, but after the second one...I was like this ain't right. She had an attitude, was condescending that made us sound ignorant. We are parents and have questions we don't have answers to. Hence why we went there to begin with. It's an urgent care facility but being they are open till 9pm is our go to place when we cannot find appointments same day. They allow walk-ins but take appointments too. Front desk have been great the two times I been there. Doctor Abdullah is patient and awesome with kids. They actually call you next day to follow up on how your kid is doing. My 12 month old just started screaming in pain one Saturday evening, so I wanted to see a doctor immediately. The doctor walked into the room, commented on how my child must be in pain, checked her ears, throat and pressed on her stomach and concluded that she was just overtired. I told the doctor she was bringing her knees up to her chest and was definitely in pain. She said that there is "no normal" for a 12 month old child and sent me home. When I got home I changed her diaper and saw a bad diaper rash... which obviously I dealt with. But when the nurse called me the next day to follow up and I told her I was disappointed with the service, she responded that "they don't do a full exam." Why am I paying hundreds of dollars for a doctor to see me if they can't even do a full exam? There were zero other people in the office. Certainly they could have taken more time with my daughter and tried to figure out why she's in pain. I filled out my post visit survey, but no response from the company. When I commented on one of their Facebook posts, that caught their attention. I received a call from the medical director within hours. She said that the doctor was negligent in not providing a full exam. She said a diaper rash was one of the first things a doctor should have checked. The most worrisome thing was that she said it could have been a more serious problem and that an X-ray should have been offered. She rattled off a list of other things the doctor should have done and other horrific conditions my child could have had that weren't checked. She also offered to come next time for my child's visit. Sure, that is nice to offer, but does it mean she has no confidence in the other doctors at the practice? read more

We've been here several times, and we've seen Dr. Jarayam every time. NOTE: we absolutely would have gone to our pediatrician's office, but they were swamped with no available appointments (and that's with multiple doctors and locations!). 1. I realize it's an urgent care, and things can get behind. However, when a doctor is going to be over an HOUR late when we had an appointment and our baby is screaming the entire time, have a staff member come in and give in ETA, because we would have gone somewhere else. 2. "Doctor" Jarayam lacks thoroughness and is negligent, and that's putting it mildly. Our child had a GI virus, vomiting multiple times and not eating or drinking, and she said it was "something he ate" and would have left the room and done nothing if our baby hadn't projectile-vomited all over the exam room as she was walking out. She also gave us no direction on how to resume feeding or hydrating our baby, any other signs or symptoms to be aware of, or at what point we should go to the hospital. After our child vomited again once we returned home, we got more insight, direction, and empathy from the after-hours on-call nurse at our medical group. 3. Yes, the waiting room looks fun and they have nice amenities. But we weren't looking for a play place or a hotel. We wanted quality care for our child, and this place is not it. read more

I was able to schedule the appointment with ease online. I had no wait time once I finished the paperwork (first time there). The place is extremely clean! The best part, besides my child actually being able to see a pediatrician at an urgent care, is the waiting room. Sensory board, climbing thing, Disney movie, juice boxes, goldfish, and lots of room to play. The only negative thing is my child didn't want to leave the waiting room haha. This place was a life saver today! My 14 month old was up all night crying in pain. We suspected he had an ear infection but because it's the weekend we knew his normal pediatrician wouldn't be open to see him. We were reluctant to bring him to the emergency room but knew we had to do something to help him. That's when we found KIDS Urgent Care in Wheaton. This place is so cool and clean! It was designed with kids in mind. Our daughter had plenty of neat stuff to keep herself busy while she waited with my husband in the waiting room. A small, indoor kid's play ground/rock climbing structure, the movie Ice Age playing on a big screen TV, a coloring station with a variety of coloring sheets, a wall of different color pegs that kids can move and light up and allow your child to design and organize them how they want to, snacks like Goldfish crackers and juice and water available and a small potty and sink in the bathroom for little ones. It takes the "scary" out of going to the doctor. And most importantly, the staff was incredible! The medical assistant and nurse practitioner that took care of my son were very gentle, caring and confident. I can tell they really love what they do. They confirmed our suspicions; my son has double ear infections with a partially ruptured ear drum on one side. They were able to send a prescription over to our pharmacy so we could start treatment right away. There is a pharmacy on site too, if needed. We didn't have an appointment today but the check in process was super easy and we were seen within 15 minutes of arriving. I would highly recommend this facility to any parent who needs their child seen for any urgent matter. Hopefully, we won't need to visit again anytime soon, but if something urgent does come up, this will be the place we go to for future care for our little ones. read more

The website says they take children up to age 22 so my daughter is 21 1/2 and was having a severe allergic reaction and at first they said they would take her and then they said she was "too old", "sorry", and all that made her suffer much longer and could've been life-threatening. We are from out of town. My daughter got sick on our way to visit grandma for the holidays. My insurance referred me to KIDS urgent care, I'm and so grateful for their services overall. The appointment was an easy setup online.It was fast, and quick to evaluate my daughter to checking her. She had to flu. They prescribe antibiotics. What a fantastic office! Brought my 5 year old in today around lunch time for flu-like symptoms. He was seen immediately by a very friendly nurse and doctor. He has the flu, but the experience was a little less awful because of this wonderful facility. They really seem to care about their patients and making sure parents stay calm and informed. I took my daughter here for a bad cold and this place far exceeded my expectations. 1) I could rest assure I wouldn't be referred to a pediatrician or given the wrong dosage of medication because this place was designed for kids- and could be seen ASAP 2) I was able to book the appointment online, and could see if it was in network and get an estimate for how much my copay / bill would be covered 3) The clinic was clean and inviting, my daughter enjoyed playing with the giant light up wall while I filled out paperwork. The astronaut theme inside was super cute. 4) The staff was friendly and courteous, made the visit more enjoyable and were very knowledgeable. 5) I didn't feel rushed, everything was explained to me in detail, I even got the opportunity to ask questions about other issues concerning my daughters health 6) We left with a pedialite popsicle and a little toy dinosaur and butterfly. I brought my baby in last minute for a suspected ear infection. The appointment went so smoothly! I was able to make an online appointment ahead of time and they brought us back right away. The nurse there was so sweet. My baby wouldn't stop smiling and giggling at her. I have a 3 year old, 2 year old, and 8 month old. This place is great! Very nice waiting area with a rock climbing structure, iPads, snacks/drinks, a lite brite wall, coloring etc. You can make appointments online or walk in. They're open every day and all day long, compared to regular urgent cares with short hours. Staff is really nice and the dr was wonderful! My kids look forward to coming here. read more
