To receive back shots, therapy, AND support. I could not be more pleased with such an amazing facility and staff. The place is also clean and sanitized properly. Professional , courteous and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone in need of physical therapy, back issues, sports issues, accidents injuries. Since I have been going to RIC River Forest my health has improved somewhat. I credit the staff I mentioned above for this. Thank you RIC for giving me a part of my life back. I am forever grateful. I had a really bad experience with this place. I have had a back issue for several years now and…read morehave seen several people to resolve it. "Doctor Shoots from the Hip" (Dr Press) listened to me for about 30 seconds before interrupting me to poke fun at the treatment options I had already pursued. He then literally touched my back with one finger before diagnosing me and sending me to physical therapy there at the clinic. That visit (which lasted about one minute thirty seconds cost me $400) I then began seeing a physical therapist based on the doctor's miraculous and magical one fingered diagnosis. Their physical therapists move around to several different locations so are only at this office one day a week. I tried to see the same therapist each week but my schedule didn't allow me to be there at the same exact time each week so I bounced from therapist to therapist. The therapists assured me that they took excellent notes and that this wouldn't be a problem. The problem was that the doctors diagnosis was neither miraculous of magical. In fact he had no clue what was wrong with me. I bounced from therapist to therapist nobody was actually monitoring my progress and each therapist was unwilling to re-evaluate what the doctor had said. They just continued pushing me along the same path. Finally after 3 months of worthless advice the pain grew from a slight nagging pain to an unbearable pain that made it difficult to walk or sleep. I went back to the doctor and he did the EXACT thing. He suggested another 3 months of physical therapy at the same facility after poking me in the back again. Since then I have been fighting my insurance to try to get them to cover a new doctor and therapist but I will somehow have to deal with this new pain until the beginning of next year when my insurance visits reset. I would not recommend this facility to anybody. They are profit driven and that is it. They do not have a mission to help patients and clearly do whatever will make them the most profitable. I strongly recommend that you choose a different facility to treat you injury.

After a few days in the hospital she was brought to Norridge Gardens. Our family has been pleasantly pleased with every aspect of her stay! From the admission process with Rebecca, to the Social Worker Janet, PT Allen, Speech Therapist Kasha (auntie has a swallowing issue), dietician Elim, Gloria and all the nurses and helpers on the 2nd floor led by Ruby, a very caring head nurse to the front reception desk staff, everyone has been extremely helpful and treat our aunt with the utmost respect & dignity in these difficult times. Sure, the place could use a lil touch up of paint, on some nicks on the walls, BUT the entire place is Very Clean!!! The proverbial adage, of "You could eat off the floors!" holds true at Norridge Gardens! The nurses communicate frequently with me as I've been her caretaker these last ten years. They are not afraid to call me at any time with any concerns. In conclusion, we feel extremely fortunate to find a lovely place for our dear aunt. Another place near bye refused admission and we are very happy they did! The aura of the other local facility was nowhere near as caring and welcoming! Keep up the great job, NG!

How does one begin? It's bad. It's really bad. A friend…read moreof mine who is on Medicaid was released here for rehab. He had a leg infection due to complications from Lymphedema. Here are some highlights from his stay (just less than a month). Arrived before the heatwave over the July 4th holiday. First day I visited there was no air-conditioning on the entire 2nd Floor unit. The window air conditioner in his room did not work. They put a fan in his room that only blew back hot air on him. I kindly asked the CNAs to make sure my friend got plenty of ice water. I was told (I kid you not) that the patients had to "ask" for ice water. No one seemed particularly concerned that elderly patients get dehydrated easily. Had a conference with the Social Worker and PT/OT specialist. I complained that no one got my friend out of bed for the 1st 10 days of his stay. I was told my friend could request to be seated in his wheel chair. My response: "What wheel chair?" Suddenly a wheel chair appeared out of nowhere in his room. No shower for the first 19 days of his stay. The wound care specialist missing in action. I explained I wanted him out of bed every day with walking, lunch in the community room and assistance with toileting himself. Oh and he didn't get the promised twice weekly showers for the next 10 days. Being in an adult diaper makes most people uncomfortable. Having to request a change that takes more than an hour to happen is frustrating. And not getting a shower makes it worse. It does not get better. My friend was moved from his un-air conditioned room to a room that was jammed with 3 beds. Built for 2 patients. Only one working TV. I visited and noticed all this extraneous medical equipment around his bed. I had to pick it all up and put it on a shelf near his bed. I requested three different times to three different staff members to please remove the unneeded medical equipment which included dirty gloves, a bag pflegm from the previous patient in that bed and the machine that removes the pflegm from a sick patient's lungs. Just gross. They never cleaned the room for the 5 days he was in that room. Funny thing is, during his last five days of his stay there he took to dressing himself and going to the toilet on his own. Just plain tired of having to wait to be changed.

It has probably been about half a year now, and we have seen so much progress in his language development. Our son looks forward to his speech sessions and has fun while learning. I love receiving the detailed summary after each session, as well as helpful / relevant assignments that we can print out and work with at home. Erica is engaging, patient, friendly and professional. The activities continue to evolve as our son's language develops, and it's clear that the plan is individualized and personalized to his specific needs. I was already paying 10$ per visit and was NOT TOLD about any other potential bills or statements coming my way. I specifically asked if 10$ was the only amount I'll be paying and was told YES by the staff at the front desk who did my initial insurance pre-authorization. So I get this bill and I called the billing number and after an hour of trying to figure out why I didn't know about any other payments I would have to make, he told there was a statement sent to me at the end of January with a due date of February 13th. So I told this man I never got any statements and the staff at the clinic never said I'd be paying anything other than the 10$ payment per visit or about any statements or bills I might get. I asked specifically if I would have to pay anything further and I told her that another PT place I went to wanted to charge me over 100$. The woman at the desk seemed really surprised too and never mentioned any further statements. So I kept going for weeks and then I get this bill for hundreds of dollars and NOTHING previously. The man I was talking to said that maybe the mail carrier lost my mail. And we went back and forth for over an hour and he just kept saying I supposedly received a previous statement. And I was attempting to impress upon him that if I had received a previous statement for a few hundred dollars I would stopped going!!! I'm going to keep calling until someone admits fault. I've had plenty of pre authorizations before and they tell you what to expect bc that's why we ask to get the pre authorization, so I know what I'm getting into. Right? The point is, I never received a first statement or anything that would indicate I'd be paying something other than 10$ per visit
