We have the pleasure of having Angie as our son's speech therapist. We love Angie. Zev had a…read morespeech therapist for about 5 months before her, and then we got Angie right after he turned 2. At that point he wasn't even saying 10 words, and we weren't sure if he really understood anything we were saying. I remember pretty clearly our second session with Angie where I was tickling Zev. He was clearly enjoying himself and would take my hands to tickle him more. And Angie just told me to wait the next time he wanted to be tickled, and I waited with my hands in tickle position for what seemed to be forever (was probably more like 15 to 20 seconds) and sure enough Zev looks at me and said "tickles". What a moment. Now we are about 8 months later and Zev's 10 word vocabulary is around 200 words. Angie does much more than work with Zev, she works with me. She gives me tips and strategies so I can work with him since I'm the one who spends so much time with him. Not only is she great as far as her knowledge and skill set, but also her caring, professionalism and flexibility. If we've had anything in our schedule come up or a holiday or whatever it is, she's always helped us find a way/time to get each and every session in, that we have never had to miss one. What really impresses me about Chicago Pediatric Therapy Group is that they meet as a team to talk about their kids. Zev had sensory issues that needed to be worked through to get the most out of his therapy sessions. Angie would mention that when they meet at her office, she'll often bring up Zev to an OT and get their thoughts and there is collaboration within their group to think of an all-around approach to each child (I'm assuming it's not just my child).

As a woman, I often feel uncomfortable in healthcare situations, especially when it's as "hands-on" as physical therapy can be. All of the staff were super great about expressing consent and making me feel comfortable at each appointment. I enjoyed my time getting to know the friendly staff while regaining my strength. They got me off of crutches and back to work in about a month's time. I am especially grateful to Christian, Sunny, and their assistant, Johnny. Thanks guys!

It should be noted she specializes specifically for the "N part of "ENT" (nose bean). For having such a cute nose my entire life, I did get into a major accident as a child where I didn't realize how much internal damage had been done. Dr C. was super knowledgeable explaining everything in detail and coming up with a solid plan with potential surgery down the line to fix my severe deviated septum. I knew it ! She was friendly and apologetic for the long wait times. She gave me a solid game plan, something I hadn't gotten in the past from other doctors. And the majority of the staff seemed to care about the people, although I did notice at least one person who worked there that just seemed to treat it as a job....maybe it was a bad day for them, but still a life is a huge responsibility. The outdoors is nice and the bottom floor has the activity room for therapy and there is a store and a church...which incidentally, is NOT open during EASTER i found out the hard way. Still over all a pleasurable experience. Why the four stars? The one person that was sitting there, giving water to someone and looked like she didn't want to be there with her shoe half off and popping gum.
