Our experience felt unorganized with inadequately planned and poorly implemented curriculum. There was also an overall lack of communication. I will also note that the school advertises low student to teacher ratios, however, the majority of staff members working in the classrooms work as aides and do not hold degrees. My 5 year old can name numerous insect body parts, count to 20 in Spanish, doing addition and subtraction on her own, solar systems, and the list goes on and on. She comes home excited about learning and explains in detail what she learned that day. For this age group, I know what a challenge they can be. Ms Mary, our whole family loves her. My daughter asks why she can't come on trips with us. She makes such an effort to love and support the children. She finds their interests and treats every child like they are her own. That doesn't happen at preschool or dance or other babysitters. The last time we were there, I went to pick her up and THREE teachers didn't know where she was. Her teacher counted the kids in her class and said they were all there. I thought her mom got her. Her mom thought I got her so misunderstanding on our part and not good on us at all but when the time she could be there ended no one called us. When she cried all night cuz she wanted to go home (she always wanted to go home but she wasn't one to normally spend the night) no one called us. When she could not be consoled, no one called. Why didn't 3 teachers know where she was? Why wouldn't you call parents for a kid that doesn't normally stay overnight, has no overnight stuff, and won't stop crying? According to them? It's not our responsibility. My daughter and I are definitely at fault for not communicating better with each other but THREE teachers didn't know where she was!!! I went in to address my concerns and felt talked down to. I was talked over, not allowed to state my feelings, and told I had already decided what I thought (she said she was talking to me with love. Definitely didn't feel any love. I will say I can be a perfect bitch but there was no love). There aren't a lot of options for parents needing care at weird hours or any time really but when 3 teachers don't know where a child is, I find that pretty concerning. We are terrible people for not checking in with each other better but we are not the only ones at fault here. You would do better to find something else.
