My 6 year old son joined Dave Fromer Soccer with his Kindergarten class. It started as just a…read moresport that we thought he should try, mainly because most of his Kindergarten classmates were going to play. After the very first practice he absolutely fell in love with the sport. Coach Marco and Coach Kunta run very organized, high-energy, highly-instructional, very personalized (they know all the kids' names) and most importantly very fun practices. The games are even better! Soccer is now my son's favorite sport, so much so that he insisted that we sign him up for the Winter Skills Program - he did not want to take a break - and he is already signed up for the Winter Indoor Soccer League. I signed up my 11 year son to the Dave Fromer Soccer organization in 2020. It was obvious from the…read morefirst game many of the kids were returning league players, which meant they got to play most of the time. In fact, many kids were never substituted and played entire games. As a consequence, my son was rarely put into the game so he spent most of the time warming the bench. It got so bad that by game three I had to ask the coach to put my son into the game, but it had little effect. Overall, I am very disappointed with this league and will not be returning. If your child is new to this league they will most likely spend the majority of time watching, rather than playing, soccer.

My good friend recommended the Coliseum to purchase my soccer gear and I had a great experience! The store is right off of the San Pedro exit on Highway 101 in San Rafael. It's a relatively small store, but they carry a large selection of merchandise. When I arrived, the employee working fit me for cleats. He was incredibly helpful and gave great suggestions for styles that fit my very narrow feet. I finally decided on a pair of Nike women's cleats, which were the last pair on sale (score!) He also helped me pick out a few pairs of socks and shin guards. I really appreciate all of the help from the crew at the Coliseum. I found everything that I was looking for during my visit and I plan to return for future purchases. If you're looking into buying gear in bulk, I was told that they offer discounts to teams.
