Once they scooped us up we were escorted to a private indoor area and got to meet and connect with red leemers, an armadillo, a sweet baby spider monkey and one more primate I can't recall the ame. Our trainers were very knowledgeable and so good with the animals and us. We spent about an hour with the animals and then walked the property to checkout the giraffes (we were warned not to get to close), sleuths, kangaroos, tigers and so many more animals. Highly recco if you have an animal lover amongst you.

Several of the enclosures seemed much too small, the facility was run down, and the entire place felt neglected. We also saw very little visible staff presence actually checking on or caring for the animals. Walking through the facility, it was hard to ignore the condition of the enclosures and the overall lack of upkeep. I understand that no facility is going to be perfect, but when you are responsible for the care of animals, there should be a much higher standard. What we personally saw was concerning enough that we would never return or recommend this place to anyone. We left feeling terrible for the animals and regretting that our admission money went toward supporting this facility. In my opinion, the conditions we witnessed deserve serious scrutiny from the appropriate animal welfare authorities. This place needs major improvements.

So we all went and at first glance looks like a lot of fun however the toddler area looks like it hasn't been cleaned in ages. It's almost like everything was donated after years of use. And the playhouse they had was a nice idea with lots of food toys in it to play pretend with. However the it's too dark in there. They need to add some sort of light because it's almost scary looking the difference between the bright play place and the dark house. the big play area for the older kids was fine. My older kids had fun going through the obstacle courses and sliding down the big slides . And it's probably too late for this change but who thought of putting swings right in the middle of a play place ?!! Anytime you see a play ground the swings are always off to the side for good reason. I had to save my one year old from getting hit by another swing while I was strapping my two year old into one of the swings. You should never put two swings right in front of each other they are always in a row for a reason. So I won't be bringing my kids back

I've accompanied a member here twice now and wish we had something similar to this closer to Charlotte. First things first: For all intents and purposes, this is a private club. You either need to be a member or be with a member at all times while you're here. They recently installed a fence at the entrance that you have to either swipe a pass or enter a code to for entry, but on the weekends it's typically open, with the "Members Only" signs posted beside the gate. As far as the range, it's the best-case scenario. They have a 200 Yard rifle range and 21 pistol bays (split between large and small pistol, with some bays outfitted with steel plates and others where you mount paper targets). There is no Range Safety Officer present, hence why prior approval is not only required, it's a necessity. You (or the member that brought you) are responsible for your safety and treating your guns safely. That being said, for those comfortable and experienced with guns and gun safety, shooting outdoors without a third party looking over your shoulder is much more relaxing. New membership is limited, and from their website it looks like they're at full capacity, as the number of new members is based on current members that fail to renew. Keep this in mind that you'll be on a wait list if you do want to apply for membership. While I can't get up here all the time due to the distance (and the fact that I have to rely on a friend whose dad is a member to gain entry), I always enjoy my time up here.

It's a private club (my father has been a member for the better part of ten years) so the first thing you notice is the gate out front of the entrance. You need a badge to get in most days so it keeps random folks from just walking in and horsing around a gun range. Next thing up the drive is the fishing pond. Really lake would be a better descriptor, there's tons of shoreline to stand on and cast off. Follow the road a little further and to your left is the archery range and one set of the pistol ranges. I haven't personally used the archery range but the pistol stalls are quite nice. Six for paper targets only and two on the end with steel target plates, all with a nice wooden benches/tables. Opposite side of the road are the skeet shooting stations. Wednesday seems to be the popular day to go shoot clay pigeons. Continuing down the road the clubhouse is on the right, rifle range on the left. Rifle range consists of maybe a dozen different bays varying at ranges of 50, 100, and 200 yards. Beyond that and all the way down the left side of the road are more than a dozen additional pistol ranges. The place always seems well maintained and I've never had a problem with the staff or other members. Look them up if your trying to find a great place for some outdoorsy fun.

The basketball area is not fenced and the area around it appears to be likely to gather standing water. The picnic shelters have grills and are available to be reserved. It's nice that some are located immediately next to the playground. The restrooms are open with a warning sign that they are only cleaned once per day. Once inside Addison was very welcoming. We are relatively inexperienced with escape rooms so he gave us some basic tips to set us up for success. We did the Under Pressure room which is themed around a distillery. The room was fun and had some unique puzzles unlike others I had encountered in escape rooms. We definitely had a great time and are already talking about plans to come back!
