Large open space that seems like nothing special but it is so nicely managed. Velcro secured blocks to the floor. there was a large trampoline, big foam pit and two smaller ones, two balance beams, tons of blocks, plenty of chairs, and a swing... but it's obviously rotated regularly. It was sized great for even kiddos who can't yet walk. If you're here a lot maybe older kids would get bored without direction but kids will be kids and play the whole time without it! The staff is younger college as expected but there were three people available which was more than I expected and all really nice. They were friendly and they did everything right. They gave us space, but circled around regularly, and added assistance when asked quickly and politely. And I don't mean just shouting answers from the other side of the room. They used every kids' names but weren't hovering. They encouraged play but weren't directive. It was just right. I asked about cleaning and the equipment because I'd heard very little about the place and had tried KidStrong nearby for classes. They replace foam cubes with bite marks often and I saw (no, wait, they saw) two and removed them while I was there. All of them had sharp new-ish edges that I saw. Four bathrooms with kid seats and changing tables. TLDR; I'd come back. With adult and kid friends.

Now the dangerous part; 15 6-8 year old kids, at the house, mostly boys. Somehow the house survived. Ed set up in the basement, and immediately had the kids attention. He spun a yarn about the solar system, and got every kid who wanted involved. He had inflatable planets, plus the sun. Each kid got to hold one as he described neat facts about the planet. Next, he conducted a little experiment where one kid held a planet, while another had a Styrofoam rocket launched. While he spun the kid, he attempt to fire at the planet... Next up were 3D photos of Mars, with 3D glasses provided. There was an experiment to create Mars soil, and a project to create a Galactic Glider. The grand finale was an air rocket launch outside. The building was very clean and they were able to reserve some tables for us since we called ahead. The play structure was smaller than I expected. It was nice that I could see my daughter the whole time, but I was underwhelmed by the play structure and play options. The plane "simulator" is a video of a plane flying. I like that you can bring in your own food. The drinking fountain was not working. I dont know if that was on purpose or not, but it was convenient that right above the broken fountain there was a sign saying you could buy water up front. Online they say you need to pay for any kid who is 6 months or older or sitting up. I have a 7 month old who sits up. She did not play, but I also would not pay for her at this age, as she isn't mobile or playing with their toys. Overall I think this place is extremely overpriced at $18 a kid. My daughter enjoyed the play structure as much as she enjoys chick fil a's structure or the local recreation center. And this is more than double the price for both. I don't see us coming back for this reason.

Overall this was a great party and I know this rec center offers so much more - basketball courts, swim lessons, a gym, and more.
