    Crawler area (under 2)
    Rowena B.

Ok, so I got the low down from the staff, it's busiest from 9am-12pm. It's quieter after nap time. My son is 9 months old and is a crawler. The crawler area is not just for crawlers, it for under 2 year olds. I arrived at 9am today and it started to get busy at 9.30am, by 10am it was getting really loud and by 10.30am I was getting annoyed enough to leave and my son was getting tired anyway. Why was I getting annoyed you ask? Good question! There was a lot of kids older than 2 in the crawler area after it got busy and although the parents were good about it and was trying to stop their daughter from taking toys off my son, their 5 year old was also in there with the younger daughter which I found out, just turned 3...as well as any random kid who could turn a door handle. After a while they left and it was so nice, just me and another little mom and son...then they all came back. I know my son will have to deal with other people for the rest of his life, but he has kids taking toys off him at storytime, the library and everywhere else, it was nice when he didn't have to deal with that and just play. They staff were great about it, gave me the info I mentioned above and a free entry coupon. They try to come out on the floor and monitor but they obviously can't be everywhere at once. The place was clean enough and there was a nice change table in the ladies room. Lots of seating and you can bring your own snacks or get something from the cafe. Overall it was pretty good but I'm not sure I'll go in the morning again

Wow... we just had my son's birthday party here, and it was AMAZING. The party hosts take care of every single darn detail the moment you walk in, and I hardly had to lift a finger. They took care of putting up all our decorations and asking us for our food orders at the right time and just made all the magic happen behind the scenes. I had even forgotten to put together one of those annoying happy birthday banner that takes forever to string on, and they set it up and had it on the wall without even mentioning it - such angels! They made my son feel so special on his big day, and the playplace was super fun for all the kids of varying ages!! This place is AMAZING.

Ask the Community - Little Monkey Bizness

I have an almost 5 month old. He can sit up but that's it. Would there be much for us to do there?

I'd say a 5 month is too young and won't have much to do. Wait till a year or older.

It took me a little time to process what happened this past Sunday before writing this review…read more I want to start by saying Tanner, the young man who worked our party, absolutely made the day. He was incredibly helpful with the kids, repeatedly apologized for everything happening (even though none of it was his fault), and remained kind, attentive, and professional the entire time. Tanner is the ONLY reason we managed to have any sort of birthday party at all. We booked the Ultimate Birthday Party package for my son's 7th birthday from 2-4 PM and also added the pizza and drinks package. The day before, I called to confirm everything, including our food order: 2 cheese pizzas, 2 pepperoni pizzas, Sprite, and lemonade for 12 kids. I arrived around 1:35 PM expecting a busy Sunday crowd. When I checked in, I was immediately told our party room would not be available until 3:15 PM -- despite our party being scheduled from 2-4 PM. That meant we would only have the room for the last 45 minutes. I was shocked. The employee at the front desk was kind and explained the manager had overbooked parties. Meanwhile, I was left standing in a packed lobby with decorations, cake, plates, and favor bags with nowhere to set anything up. I eventually asked to speak with the manager. After waiting about 15 minutes, he came over with absolutely no sense of urgency. He was dismissive, condescending, and repeatedly told me the room timing was listed in the "fine print" of the emails. Maybe technically it was, but it's honestly ridiculous to advertise birthday parties without guaranteeing space for the actual party. After offering no real solution, he simply walked away. As guests arrived, Tanner took the kids onto the obstacle course while I grabbed a couple of lobby tables to hold gifts and belongings. Thankfully, because of Tanner, the kids still had fun and had no idea what was happening behind the scenes. We finally got access to the party room around 3:30 PM, leaving only 30 minutes in our reservation, and there was still no pizza. Tanner helped us rush decorations up while the kids were already hungry and thirsty. When I asked about the pizzas, Tanner checked with the manager and came back saying they claimed I never ordered them. That was completely false. I would never host a party for 12 children without food. Tanner apologized again and later informed me they had "just ordered" the pizzas -- at 3:45 PM, with the party ending at 4. The kids were hungry, drinks were running low, and there was still no food. I asked for more time in the room, and once again Tanner had to speak with the manager himself. We were eventually allowed to stay until 4:30 PM and the pizzas were comped. Unfortunately, by then most parents were already preparing to leave because the party was supposed to end at 4. I rushed to cut the cake so the kids could at least sing Happy Birthday and eat something. The pizzas finally arrived at 4:10 PM when only three kids remained. To their credit, they comped the pizzas and gave us free gym-time coupons. I appreciate that gesture, but after the way the manager handled everything, I will never return. I'm honestly shocked I still paid $329 for this experience. The reason I'm writing this review is to warn other parents. Birthday parties are expensive, and your hard-earned money should go to a business that values its customers and knows how to properly manage events. During the entire three hours we were there, the manager never once apologized. The only staff members who showed professionalism or empathy were the younger employees -- especially Tanner. They are lucky to have him. As a business owner myself, I can confidently say the current manager will drive this business into the ground. He was dismissive, incompetent, condescending, and rude from start to finish. Save yourself the stress and book your child's birthday somewhere else.

Now the dangerous part; 15 6-8 year old kids, at the house, mostly boys. Somehow the house survived. Ed set up in the basement, and immediately had the kids attention. He spun a yarn about the solar system, and got every kid who wanted involved. He had inflatable planets, plus the sun. Each kid got to hold one as he described neat facts about the planet. Next, he conducted a little experiment where one kid held a planet, while another had a Styrofoam rocket launched. While he spun the kid, he attempt to fire at the planet... Next up were 3D photos of Mars, with 3D glasses provided. There was an experiment to create Mars soil, and a project to create a Galactic Glider. The grand finale was an air rocket launch outside. I heard from one parent today that her son pronounced the party "Awesome," and on a scale of 1-10 a 1000! Minor addition: Until their entry is updated, their website is http://www.spacetimekids.com/

So it was only natural to ask Ed to do a SpaceTime party for my son's birthday. The kids and parents had a blast (pun intended) learning about rockets, shooting off stomp rockets, and making a fizz rocket with some paper, film canisters, and Alka Seltzer. Ed ended the party with a huge rocket launch outside that went 100 feet into the air. It was so cool! I like SpaceTime because they are really good at getting kids interested and having them learn something along the way. Ed and Julie are very accommodating and great to work with. Highly recommended for a fun and interactive party!

It is true, the place is run by young people (high school students mostly), who need more training or at least a conversation about how to be helpful. We bought the monthly membership (since it's the same price as a one time admission) so trying to get our money's worth. Each time we've been here, it's so hard to find a table/chairs to sit. Families are always waiting for each other to leave in order to sit. During our visit yesterday, I ordered a personal cheese pizza (for my 4 year old) and pretzel (for my 5 year old). After 20 minutes, I check with the staff on the status. And they hadn't started making it. He tells me that he actually charged me for a large cheese pizza (which I definitely didn't need for my 4 year old)... and just says "So what do you want to do?" I said I would wait (what choice did I have?), but asked if I could get the pretzel first since my kids were hungry. And he said he also hadn't started making it either! But that it would take 15 more minutes for everything. Anyway, when he finally brings the food out... Both the pizza and pretzel are burnt and hard as heck. My kids didn't want to eat out! Argh, frustrating! And the staff person could care less. Huge waste of money.

Cute row of houses on theme like doctor, pets, bakery, house. The firetruck and school bus were favorites. Our 4 year old was happy to run from one to another to another and bored at each again and again. There was just enough stuff at each station to not be overwhelmed but because kids that age don't really play together yet, if there were more kids it would be hard to share in one station. We were there on a Saturday and it was comfortable with six kids and twice the parents. Crafts are meant for older kids. I bought a craft ahead of time as an add and start to finish it was a disappointment. The staff didn't notice when we came in, so when I asked at 30 min left she had to clammer around to get us setup. The paint bottle said tie dye and was watery and should have been used as such, not with paintbrushes or pipets like what we were handed. Everything ran and you see the result. She kindly dried them for us with a hairdryer by hand so I guess this is the real product. I expected cheap hats but they were adult sized and so flimsy I'm not even doing one cute picture in these. I'm disappointed in the service because she noticed our little girl was too small for gloves and said so but didn't offer alternatives and just said be careful it stains. We would have had a much better experience if she had recommended the slime instead. We were jealous of the other parents who she also neglected until last minute who obviously enjoyed an appropriately aged craft.
