I had already filled out the forms online so that saved a lot of time. First, I had x-rays taken and cleaning done by Gina who was very friendly and competent. Then, Dr Espinoza who was also very polite and friendly did the check up and recommendations. The office is in a quieter area of Bayonne so there was no problem finding street parking being that I'm a resident. Make sure you have a resident pass. If you're visiting from another town I would suggest parking on Broadway (metered parking). I'll keep going to Bayonne Smiles for my regular check up and treatment and will update my review afterwards.

Kathleen, the dental hygienist is very knowledgeable and helps you learn how to properly take care of your teeth and gums. She also gives the ABSOLUTE BEST teeth cleanings! She really takes her time and explains everything as she goes along. I have seen both Dr. Alter and Dr. Seleven. Both of them are amazing dentists. They keep you informed the whole way through and really listen to your concerns. They are very thorough and very caring. Also, this office is exceptionally clean. I have been a patient more than 10 years and love that he has the same staff he had when I started! Beverly is sweet and funny, and Maria treats you like family. Dr alter has Sunday hours in the early morning, and that's so convenient for kids who play sports. Dr alter is really gentle and caring and checks on your comfort throughout your procedure. I have had no issues with his work, which include 2 implants, bonding on my front teeth and 3 recent cavities. He also changed some old silver fillings to white at my request. My only negative is that sometimes street parking is tough, but there is a public lot behind the school about a block away.

She paid him up front in cash. The crown fell off. He then charged her more to redo it. Nice right? The bridge he made was not done properly and will not fit. She cannot wear it. When she told him, he refused to do anything. He shrugged his shoulder and walked out of the room. This guy got his dds from a cracker jack box. He has zero compassion, zero care about folks, and is a terrible human being at best. I wish I was there to see him try to shrug at her and dismiss her. The front desk staff are really good on the phone & in person, they know what they're doing and are kind & knowledgable.
