Prices were way over priced, staff VERY unfriendly, didn't even get a bill at the end, just a "price" of what was owed. I have been to several of Kiki's restaurants. This particular location has the tastiest been soup. I have never seen it crowded. During the pandemic, tables are well separated. I favor the tacos. Having tried all of them, the 'al pastor" are the best. As for the fajitas, they are more like steak strips being that they are thin in cut. My complaints are that you do not know the price of what you are ordering. The paper menu has the prices crossed out and don't display the new price. MAKING IT WORSE, THEY HAVE A SURCHARGE IF YOU PAY WITH A CARD!! I have decided to no longer support this establishment. I shouldn't have to pay an extra 4% for the pleasure of eating here. read more

If I could give them 0 stars I would. Our takeout was terrible. We ordered the beans, Kiki's taco, and 2 gringo taco. Let's start off with the beans: the beans basically had no beans! It was basically just bean broth and some onions and tomatoes. Very disappointing when beans are the start of the meal and set up the course of the rest of the meal. Now the tacos... oh boy- first of all the meat in the tacos (fajita) was cut up so tiny, not at all like they used to make them, and it was over cooked and burnt. It tasted absolutely disgusting and left a burnt meat taste in our mouths. Thankfully that the tacos were also lacking in content. There was very little meat and cheese inside the tacos. If you want an authentic Mexican meal than skip all the rest and go directly to Kiki's!!! My first visit to Brownsville and we had no idea where to eat. We drove around looking at various establishments and settled on Kiki's. It was late on Friday evening, but it was still packed and buzzing with people. It looked like a true local's joint and when in Rome. Hey listen it's always a good sign in my book at least. If you know what I mean. The interior is traditional with brightly colored decor and really casual, so don't go in there expecting pomp. The staff is top notch, super friendly, and we received some of the best service that would rival even fine dining restaurants. Everything is a la carte which is totally cool because it's designed for family style. Two people will be hard pressed to finish an entire order for two of chicken fajita--- trust me!!! We ordered their queso with chorizo. LOVED IT! Gooey yummy delicious. The Guac was incredibly fresh and they have the best pico I have had in a long long time. Even their chips and salsa were a cut above. Their corn tortillas are the cutest little things I have ever seen no bigger than a small women's hands. Kinda hard to make a big wrap with all the fixings. Guess you will be forced to make several small ones instead. ha ha Their rice was very flavorful, light, and fluffy and I would definitely order it again. They didn't have refried beans, but the super sweet staff pureed some charo beans and hooked me up. Not many other places would put forth that kind of effort. This was the perfect way to end our trip to SPI and Brownsville. If I ever go back to Brownsville, Kiki's will always be my first and last stop!! Don't worry if you don't speak perfect Spanish. Wow. This place was really great. Fast and friendly service. I had the 6 tacos (half bistek and half pastor) and I was very happy with my choices. The tacos tasted really "fresh" and the queso on top was great with the avocado. Definitely will try to be back whenever I'm back in town. read more

Stopped by this place with family, can't skip my intake of Mexican food before heading back to atx. So, the place was having some sort of party, I guess they will happily accommodate your big party needs... We tried the alambriza, plateful if meat with bacon, peppers, tomatoes and onions. They gave us corn tortillas that were the side of my fist....I thought it was usual but they tastes just fine, only bite size. The meal in itself was ok. The chips and salsa were ok, very crisp chips, nice. The charro beans were also pleasant. The staff was quick and courteous. The grilled onions best part of my meal. Overall visit was ok. read more

We were actually looking for another restaurant but ended up here. At first the idea of a Mexican buffet was not very appealing, but we had missed that part so can't really comment. Simply put, the food is amazing. A bargain considering I had 8 hungry boys and a family of 12 to feed after a day at the beach. The prices were very reasonable, the lemonade in a jug was very refreshing and I love that they make it there. Everything tasted authentic and the flavors were wow. We had so much left over food for the next day, and we only spent $100, and that's cause we ordered almost everything on the menu. Thank u for the amazing experience and keep doing what u do. Ordered a fajita parrillada for four at the Paredes and 802 location. The fajita had absolutely no flavor and was very difficult to chew. I told the man that I felt the fajita was marinated in water. I called to request to speak to a manager or owner and the gentleman who took my order requested my phone number so he could have the manager call me back to give me an explanation of why the meat was so horrible. I'm still waiting on a call back. They just lost a regular customer and will not recommend them again. read more

Got a fajita plate to-go together with guacamole and pico de Gallo. Got there at 8:30. It was still 9:30 and my food wasn't ready. I couldn't wait longer so I decided to cancel the order while the server was really attentive the cashier and only lady working there rolled her eyes at me and was super rude in front of the rest of the customers when I got my cash back. They give you a lot of food for the price. The fajita meat was well seasoned but bit tough. The salsa was super spicy but with plenty of flavor. We had gotten a family meal so there were bunch of other stuff on the plastic tray. I can't remember what else I ate but most of the stuff was pretty good. I had some sort of burrito that blew my mind and it was even nice enough to give a reach around. Pretty decent mexican food here, i like most of the menu but the place can get a little loud like most taquerias in town. I don't want to give it four stars because they can get a little messy sometimes and the bathrooms tend to get a bit dirty. Also, because it's got two other restaurants next to it the parking can be packed. At time you'll have to park across the street. Other than that its a great place for some good food. read more

Heard about this place alot since moving down to The Valley. Finally tried it after 9 months. Walking in was kind of confusing. The lobby/waiting are was unmanned. The dining area was out of sight behind a wall. There were 3 servers standing across the room by the drinks area just staring. We stood there and looked around and walked up to the server to ask if we seat ourselves. They did not have Coke. They had run out and only had Apple Soda, Dr. Pepper, Sprite, and Sweet Waters. When we got our chips they were cold and stale. Hard to chew. When the food arrived it was amazing. Shared a Kiki's Nachos and a Half Kilo Parillada for Two. The portions were more than generous. Horrible service. We waited more than fourty five minutes before we decided our business would be better appreciated else where. That was after we made several attempts to gain attention from each of of the 3 waiters and cashier.
