Don't waste your time. Drove 33 miles to try this place out for two years in a row. First year results were unimpressive. I thought it may have been a fluke so gave them another shot last year. Absolutely dismal and disappointing. You'll have to zoom in on the pics to try and find any jalapeños or cheese. For the price point, you're better off doing it yourself. It wasn't bad, maybe just not as good as I had hoped. When I drove up, there were four Sheriff's deputies eating, which is normally a pretty good sign. I went in and ordered, received my order in a styrofoam plate and then had to go outside to where the only tables are located. Terrible! I dropped off a Nilgai which is a rather large animal and this is all the backstrap steaks I got back. Tenderloin in photo next to sawzall for reference of size of animal. Called and they told me that what I got back is what is normal for that animal. 4lbs of steaks, I'll never go back family recommended it and now they have a bad taste for them also. read more

Very disappointed in the service. I dropped off a hide 17 months ago and finally got it back today. It was dirty and still had 100s of burrs in it. I called and let them know I was very upset and they told me it wasn't feasible for them to remove the burrs I have had many hides done other places and have never had this happen read more

I see them more of a meat processor than otherwise before. They need to step there game up. Their "meat sticks" are worth the stop to grab some but I don't carry an ice chest in order for them to stay good til I get home. But I'll make an effort to grab some up whenever I can.They're pretty good. But unfortunately, now, that's now the only reason I'd stop here.. read more

We were on our way back to Houston, and my husband and I stopped to check out to see if they had BBQ. First time here and all I can say is wow!!!! We had the brisket sandwich, sliced sausage and potato salad. The brisket was cooked all the way through!! Great flavor!! The sausage was on point.. And the potato salad was great! Place a order for a half calf I was told on Mar 12 2020 it would be 21 day. They called me and told me it would 30 days before they could get my cow. Didn't hear from then so me and my husband stop by to check I talk to the owner he said this time I would I need to put a deposit down which I offered his wife in March 12 she said I did have to put a deposit down. I gave him 1497. 00 deposit at that time it was April 28 2020. On May21 2020 we stop by again and ask for our again we where told they didn't have it. I told him I been try to get this for three month. He yelled at me and told me there is a cow shortage which is not true there is a processor shortage. Rancher are trying to sale the cow to the public everyday. I am a senior who got called crazy because I ask for my product called told to prove it and cuss out. I can prove it because I bought 200.00 of meat the day I order I have they form where she told me to fill out how I wanted it cut. He told to get the f out of his store he told me to give him my bank card to credit my account but I didn't have it on me so he told called me some more names and called me crazy cussed and told me to get out of his store. Told him I would use him for deceptive trade practice. False advertising sale you something they didn't have. The worst customer service I have ever had from anyone. He didn't keep his word and had my money and cuss me out I called the law after I left his store because I didn't feel safe after he went and got his gun from his truck. I want the law to help me get my money I didn't want to go back in and get it for trespassing. What a low life to treat a senior citizen this way. Glad I didn't go back without the cops I could have been shot. So I would tell you to think twice before doing business with this guy. His wife is the one who lied and told me to prove it. I think it's worth stopping in and getting some of their packaged meats; quality looked good and prices were fair. However I would NOT recommend getting a meal there. I ordered 1/4 lb of brisket, just wanted a small sample to see if it was worth a return visit. The girl behind the counter reached into a crock pot (it was then I knew I had made a mistake) and pulled out a bunch of slices and weighed it. She weighed out 3/4 of a pound and wrapped it in a tightly sealed wrap. When I mentioned again that I only wanted a 1/4 pound she said the slices were too big. I wasn't sure if she was just being disingenuous and trying to get rid of the brisket by making me buy more than I wanted, or really didn't know she could remove a few of the "too big" slices and get the weight to what I asked for, or close enough (a 1/2 pound more than I asked for is QUITE a difference). But I decided to say nothing. The brisket was as what a true brisket person would expect if it had been in a crock pot for a while; not true Texas brisket which seemed a shame given that they had nice offset smokers outside emanating a great smell (and they appeared to be using post oak wood); I have no idea why they would let it sit pre-cut in a crock pot; if anything I would assume they know that pre-cutting the meat begins the oxidation process, not good for food. If you want good brisket, go to a place called "First Class BBQ" which is literally 30 seconds down the road, maybe less. I went to First Class, ordered a 1/4 pound, was only charged for a quarter pound, but was likely given more than a quarter pound, given plenty of sides (onion, pickles, jalepenos)...and the brisket most definitely had NOT been put in a crock pot. I also tried the beef jerky made at this place and it was very good. As it so happens there's a Buc-cee's just a few miles down the road and I picked up some of the non-prepacked jerky and compared the two. Buc-cee's has a good reputation for their jerky but this place had better jerky, perhaps a bit over-salted but very good. So in summary, I'd definitely stop by this place to pick up some of their packaged meats; hamburgers, jerky, chicken, bacon, etc...but if you also was a bbq meal, drive literally 30 seconds north and go to 1st class bbq. read more
