I'm forever grateful for these two managers and all they do for this wonderful Hotworx location. Know BEFORE you go: ** A specific HOTWORX mat and towel are required for the isometric classes. You can purchase them both for $100. They also rent and sell other things, from cute clothing to headphones to energy drinks. ** Hand towels and foam rollers are provided for free. ** There are also small cubby spaces outside the sauna for quick storage - that's where you put your phone, backpack, shoes, etc. ** All classes are virtual through displays within the sauna, not in-person with you. You follow along to their instructions on the screen. ** Bring a water bottle! Be sure to hydrate before, during, and after. There are water fountains for refills. ** Similarly - it's HOT. You're working out in a sauna. Just be aware if you're super sensitive to high temperature, that this might not be for you.

Recently joined and love training here. It's a small facility that's an easy walk from our Old City…read moreresidence. If needed, there's street parking and a paid lot right across the street. There's enough equipment, including free weights, plate loaded machines, aerobic equipment, bands, medicine balls, etc to get in a great full body workout. The staff is receptive to suggestions for additional items. All items are new, from premium brands and in great working condition. The open gym room is available for member use when there's not a class in session, which are about 3-4 times daily during the week, including XGT cross training and yoga classes. We guess spin classes may resume post pandemic. Rumor has it they will soon expand into the space next door; otherwise it starts to feel busy with more than ten people there, especially if a class is in session. But I've not seen that. And other members have been friendly and space- conscious. And it's VERY CLEAN. All members are required to wipe down all the things after use, towels are provided and the staff is generally cleaning too. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. Thrilled to have this so close!

You can watch movie while using the cardio machine. The walking/running track has big windows with pretty good view which makes walking/running very pleasant. A lot of classes are offered every day. Cons: This place was built around the end of 2006. Things are starting to fall apart. A capable maintenance person is really needed. However, this place has very hard time to keep a good person due to the very low paid. The manager has to take care of the maintenance sometimes, but you can't expect one person to do 2 full time job. Also, the BBB has issues an alert against this place for contract cancellation process. The turnover rate for the sales people are high, too. You need to read your contract carefully before you sign it. The gym usually is not crowded. Most of the staffs here are super friendly and helpful. I am really enjoy my workout at this place.

Don't misunderstand me, doing multiple sets is fine, I personally do 5 sets per body part, but I do them in a timely manner. I take just enough time to recover then start next set. If I think someone wants the machine next, I ask them if they would like to work in. So, the next time you're just sitting on the machine texting away, don't be insulted if someone ask, how many sets do you have left.

Staff is mostly friendly and helpful other than a few times when I've let someone know the ladies' restroom was out of soap or paper towels or asked about the water fountain and I've gotten non verbal feedback that says "so, what am I supposed to do about it?" My biggest complaint is the water fountain situation. There is only 1 fountain/bottle refill station. In the 3 months I have been going 75% of the time, the water station is either shut down or needs a filter change. I take my own full water bottle, but often need to refill and cannot do so. So, that's kind of gross. I guess my work-around now that I know this is a consistent issue is to take 2 bottles. Which is annoying when you pay for the highest tier membership. Another pro is that there are tons of classes. I signed up mostly interested in yoga or pilates. To each his own, but I have found 1 yoga instructor I really liked. She only taught 1 class and I assume doesn't work there anymore becsuse her class has just been rotating subs now. Some of the yoga and pilates classes blare music which makew it really hard to hear instructions or focus, evenxwhen the instructors are miced up.

They do not have a click to cancel that actually cancels you, which is now against the law. Very upset. Seems more like a ponzu scheme.
