First time there, the office is 7 minutes late to open (3 other patients waiting for them to open)…read more The office staff and RN's are wearing jeans, flip flops and sweatshirts, and look completely unprofessional. In my appt. the provider used hand sanitizer which was great, however their hands smelled like stale cigerettes and I couldn't get that smell off me the rest of the day! Flash forward a couple months and the office people have bad attitudes on the phone and are not easy to work with. I suggest you stay away from here until they get everything figured out. For being a doctors office, I expect a lot higher professionalism- not a highschool classroom. Sorry if this is negative, I usually am not this picky. This place was just not for me.

Nothing above and beyond... sometimes the occasional sour taste left behind in my mouth. First met one of the main Drs there for one thing - he commented on my cholesterol levels (not related to my visit) and made a remark about how I probably eat a lot of "queso" and should dwindle it down. I didn't say anything but I still feel weird about that- just because I'm Latina doesn't mean I eat "queso." When we discussed the actual reason for my visit, I mentioned to him what i had and what caused it. He straight up didn't believe me lol he said how it couldn't be that and instead told me it was something else. I insisted on what caused it and told him what I wanted to be done to fix it- but he persuaded me to do something else first. At the end of it all, lab results came back a few days later proving that I was right from start m. I had to return a second time to get the original treatment I wanted and When I returned that second time, while the overall experience with that same doctor was better, it was interesting he didn't say anything about how he was wrong for not believing me the first time. On a different occasion, it took three people to remove some stitches I had. I didn't really care much but, just food for thought. I feel the scheduling dept doesn't have correct notes available about previous dr visits. I made an appt to have a follow up on something and the scheduling person said it was actually for a procedure to be done.... but it wasn't supposed to be for a procedure, so appt was just canceled instead of rescheduled. TAKE NOTE: they have a "one strike and you're out" sort of policy. If you miss your first "appointment" (which is a "getting to know you" appointment), and don't give a 24 hour notice, you CANNOT be their patient anymore. Too harsh in my opinion.

If you are older, they spend the first fifteen minutes just talking to you about.Hipaa and old age stuff. Then, they charge, you double for the physical which really was a15 talk and a 5 minute look over. They barely check anything. They didn't used to be this way... sometimes as companies get bigger they lose focus on the customers or in this case patients. It is really too bad. Rachel and Christine seem to care but their hands are tied by policies that put time ahead of genuine patient care.

Parking in front and behind the building. Smaller lobby area with a new self sign in machine. The receptionists are the best, so down to earth and friendly... they become family. Dr. Booth has the best bed side manner of any professional in the medical field I've ever experienced. Her passion and kindness in any situation is remarkable. I've been going here for routine physical exams, sick visits, immunizations and flu shots. They always get me in for sick visits, common colds and sore throats ... or refills on meds. Highly recommend them.

When I lived down state, I always brought a book with me, because I knew I would be waiting for some time. In the end, they are truly wonderful family doctors.

Let me tell it how it is - this place has too many patients and every Dr I have ever seen here needs sensitivity training and improvement on bedside manner. I was in a traumatic near-death accident in January 2024 and saw Dr. Malvasi as a follow up to being in the emergency room for hypothermia and he was honestly great and compassionate - but wanted me to see MY PCP Dr Clapper like a week later. I was bruised from head to toe still from my accident at that point, and I had questions about my lack of sensation in my legs, feet, arms and hands. I had to explain to the nurse what happened and what I was there for. In walks Dr Clapper - OMG WHAT HAPPENED? why wasn't she prepared? Why did I have to relive my trauma AGAIN when all of this should have been in notes reviewed before walking into the room. At this time, I requested to be moved to Dr. Malvasi's care because he had seemed so compassionate after my accident. My following experiences with Dr. Malvasi were less than ideal - I gained weight due to my depression and PTSD and when I saw him again he asked how I was doing and I said it had been a tough winter - HE LAUGHED and said I CAN SEE THAT BY HOW MUCH WEIGHT YOU GAINED! Real professional. Also, knowing that I had been in an abusive relationship and had difficulty with men - he thought it was also appropriate to make jokes every time I saw him asking if I was dating again yet. Not funny. The last two times I saw Dr Malvasi I requested a specific course of treatment. He said we could discuss that further in 3 months if I did xyz. I did xyz and went back at 3 months and was told CNYFC had new policy for this treatment and to do xyz and come back in 3 months. Right before my next 3 month appointment I received notification that CNYFC would no longer be working with the treatment at all - even though I had been doing what I was told for the last 6 months to receive this treatment. I sent a disgruntled response to the portal and the response I received was that I didn't know what I was talking about and "good luck finding a new pcp". So one time I disagreed with their practices and expressed it and they dropped me like it was nothing stating "consistently disruptive to staff". So a one time expression of dissatisfaction is "consistently disruptive"? Also Dr Malvasi asked at both 3 month follow ups if I was dating yet - still not funny. I really have found in life that when situations like this arise, comparable to being fired from a terrible employer, move on to bigger and better things. I'll find a dr office that doesn't turn people over like an assembly line and actually knows the appropriate way to communicate with patients. Btw I found a new primary care and had an appointment scheduled in less than a week. CNY family care thinks they can treat people like crap as if there are no other physicians around. Read the other reviews - my experience is not unique - and there are plenty of better offices to go to than this one.
