The splash pad is a large area and also has shade. Plenty of table/benches in shaded areas also and grassy spots all around. No swings at this park though if that's something you're wanting. I understand that kids can get hurt when they run in front of swings, but...maybe at least for the younger side with bucket swings where parents need to be present and it'll be less likely for kids to run in front of a moving swing. I grew up going to summer camps here, and now I bring my daughter for swimming lessons--it's such a full-circle experience. Every visit has been incredible, whether as a kid or now as a parent. Even though the building has been around for a while, it's kept in great shape. The ambience is clean, welcoming, and family-friendly, and it really feels like a space for the whole community. The staff has always been amazing--friendly, helpful, and genuinely caring, which makes every experience that much better. One of the biggest pluses is the value. They offer so many activities at a really reasonable price, and this is definitely the place to find more discounted programs compared to elsewhere. From fitness classes and pools to kids' programs, you get so much for what you pay. Overall, the Henderson Multigenerational Center is a gem--nostalgic for me personally, but also such a reliable, affordable, and enjoyable place to bring my daughter. This is a city recreation facility but open to the general public that aren't locals. We came since…read moreit's close to my parents new place and the swimming pools both inside and out are impressive given it's a local rec center. The locker rooms are below average akin to a YMCA in most suburban towns. We just came home to shower, no biggie.
