A great play area for my kids to let loose some energy during the Thanksgiving holiday. This sports complex is across from the Sierra Vista High School and offers tons of sensory areas, swings, a small grass patch and some of the cleanest bathrooms I've seen at a public playground in a long time. There's also a swing made for children who are in a wheelchair, which is pretty awesome, allowing all children a chance to swing and have fun. The one downfall of this park is that it's across the street from a high school school. As soon as the high school got out, this park was filled with older kids playing on stuff that is obviously made for small children, almost knocking kids over, and being a little too free with the language. I'm not a prude, but c'mon you can't hold off on the F-bombs for a few minutes? Still a great playground with a lot of things to do and plenty of disable parking spots. read more

This park is nice. Many of the soccer fields are always closed unless a group makes a reservation through the city. There is a park and water area here with some walking paths (I come for the walking paths) as it's in a convenient location for me. Not the best park in the city, but nice and clean. If you play soccer this would definitely be the spot for you. Lots of dog walkers come here that want a quieter park. There's also a very nice and new park with a splash pad, and musical instruments on the far side of this park (look for location on the signs or you may miss it). read more

Lots of parking available. The park itself is nice for walking on the concrete path, however, lots of dog that wasn't picked up by owners unfortunately. We were also here on a day when the construction facility next door had an alarm system going off because people walk past it which was annoying to listen to the entire time. When I originally registered for the Rockin Reindeer 5k through JusRun, it was scheduled for Floyd Lamb Park in Northwest Las Vegas. As the race date started to get close to December 14, the schedule was updated for the race to be held at the James Regional Sports Complex! This was my first time at James Regional Sports Complex on a Saturday morning around 9:30 A.M! James Regional Sports Complex is off of the 215/Durango, Southwest, near West Robindale Road. There is plenty of parking available at the James Regional Sports Complex. We had several hundreds of runners and there was still plenty of parking spots open! This is a huge complex. I had a 5k race and we were able to run the 5k here! There were also 10k runners, but they ran the 5k race twice! During my run, I saw lots of fields for sporting activities and even playgrounds! This is such a nice park! There are even lights available at the park area for evening games! This is such a great park! It was clean as well! It's open and lots of space for walkers or runners! read more

This review is in regards to their park area. The park has a pretty good field of grass I also have a dog park which is an enclosed area and it also has some age-appropriate equipment and swings while also encompassing a splash pad. My daughter is almost 2 and she is at the age where she can finally play with some of these equipment but even when she was almost one, I always brought her here just so she can be familiar with it. this park is a very busy park with many children coming to visit and a lot of people having birthday parties during the weekend so keep that in mind. I don't believe you need to make a reservation to have a birthday party here but you might want to come early to make sure you have a table especially if it is on the weekend. There is also a set of bathroom inside apart and it is very clean with his own water and soap. read more

Park is small and cute. One jungle gym which is suitable for all ages. I have a 20 month old who is capable of using the jungle gym. Not all of the features, but most of them! Swings are suitable for babies and older kids! read more

My kids love this brand new park, but we can only speak of the playground at the moment as we have yet to explore beyond that. The park is huge with many sports fields, so I can see it getting busy in the future with lots of little league games. But the few times we have been since it opened, we have been nearly alone. That will change as word gets out. They playground has so many wonderful unique play features, including a roller slide, a musical instrument area, several games, and a wheelchair swing! So awesome! There is a small splash pad and quite a few swings as well. It's a beautifully laid out park with plenty of bench areas to sit, picnic tables, shade structures, and open grassy areas. There is plenty of parking. We will definitely be coming here quite often! It's our new favorite park. read more

My wife and I were very excited to have this huge park being built within a 1/4 mile of our house. We have been extremely disappointed to learn that basically none of it is really usable for the general public. The only area anyone can use is the small playground area that has a tiny area of grass. There's no where for people to play soccer or anything because they have every single field locked up except for when they have like 4 weekend tournaments the entire year. I saw people making other negative reviews about people having dogs in the small area that anyone can go, and I understand your frustration but where else are we supposed to go? There are no dog parks in this part of town. We have every right to use it as you do. I would love to stay away from the playground area but they don't allow any of the massive fields to be used by the public. I'll like be filing a petition or complaint to parks and rec to allow a couple of the fields to have public use. read more

This is park is the best! It is clean and all of the play area is functional and up to date. My family has been taking my son here ever since he learned to walk and he loves it! There are plenty of shaded areas to host gatherings. The park includes a music area that has a musical area with: xylophones, drums, and other electronic sounds. Could ultimately be one of the best parks in Las Vegas hands down. I like the fact that it's gated and away from the busyness of the city . This review is for the playground area only. This is one of my favorite parks to take my 3 year old to; it's hardly ever crowded on weekday mornings and the equipment is designed to encourage thoughtful adventure. My daughter specifically love the spinning chairs. They do have a splash pad open during warmer months and a small grass area. This park is handicap accessible. I've noticed it becoming dirtier and the bathrooms have no soap - which is my star deduction. read more

I love this park except it's missing one thing, BABY SWINGS! It's a big park and it has tables to have picnics or even to throw a mini birthday party for kids. There aren't any grills but ehh that's not too important. It has a soccer field, water splash pad area, cool things for the kids to climb and run around in. It's definitely handicap friendly! A beautiful new park opens today (this afternoon)! Park Phase I includes a playground, restrooms and 4 soccer fields with plush manicured lawn. Phase II is slated to complete by Winter 2018. The southwest area is excited to see a family-friendly public park; situated adjacent to Sierra Vista High School. If only they had tennis courts in mind. read more

These are soccer fields built for the lucrative pay to play club soccer teams and the lucrative tournaments. It's not finished yet, they have a kids playground and 13 pitches built for soccer. It is really nice and relatively uncrowded, but I can see that there is more construction going on. Hopefully they will build a facility for food for between games and more westerly parking. The fields are green, and even with a beautiful background. This is the 4th or 5th soccer facility in Las Vegas and it's surrounding areas. read more

I've had q chance to visit this park with my grandsons and they had a blast. The park is very nice pretty clean and from what I saw it's big with soccer fields that were locked up so I guess they use them for tournaments only. And way we enjoyed our time spent at this park. The park has become uncomfortable due to the dogs with no leash. Dog owners need to leash your dog. Especially if your dogs are large. Please be considerate. Even if you think your dog don't bite read more

Currently, the fields are closed to the public, but this park is awesome. It's so clean and has a spacious enough field to run around in that's part of the park area. It has everything a child needs to run around and explore. They have a musical section, the playground, climbing, water park, and even a cute walkway that takes you into a gated part of the park with embedded checkers or chess board games on concrete tables, it's quite whimsical. The bathrooms were the cleanest public bathrooms I have ever been to, I was impressed, though there was no hand soap, which was odd, but overall, we love this park and will definitely be back. Also, it's open late until 11:30p.m, and once the sun is gone, those bright LED's make sure to keep the good times rolling. I definitely recommend this park. Have fun! read more

can only use the play ground. The soccer fields are never open for use. The sign says to call to get permit and only users with permits are permitted to use. I'm guessing you have to pay? I gave them a call anyway and went straight to voice mail. Left 3 messages with name and contact info regarding inquiries bout soccer field usage. Been a couple days now no call back or email. That's funny because I saw some leagues being run at the field on the weekends. I guess it's not a park for "everybody" and you cant just go with your family to simply kick the ball around at goal without having to spend thousands of dollars trying to buy one yourself. The park is nice, close to home and the kids have a lot of fun, but i definitely don't think dogs should be allowed in the playground area! I've seen dogs off leash many times, I always find dog hair on the equipment (where little kids are crawling around) and last time my 2 yr old had dog poop in her hands! To the person, Gal U. that left a bad review....If pick up the phone and call the county and educate yourself you find out that the grass is tall and the soccer fields are unused because they are relatively new. They are cut this way so that the grass takes root and they can then be played on. They were built and then sodded to see how the grass takes. Also, due to Covid shut down none of the fields are used because no soccer is being played. This park is awesome, it's clean, and I see police patrol through there often. I can't wait until the soccer fields open up and the leagues are formed!!! read more

This is a great park, several distinct playing areas, a grassy spot to practice sports, a doggie area and even some special needs swings, and a splash pad/cooling area. Only two issue come up here, one is that the fence doesn't reach the ground, if you have several kids one could get under the fence and get out of the park. One is that the swings are separated from the rest of the toys so if you have an ardent swinger other get bored. But these are minor, as this is a nice place. read more

Finally was able to use some of the things at this park. However, once again it seems the designers of this park prioritized unique equipment over basic necessities. My daughter required a diaper change while we were here, but the restroom doesn't have a changing table. While I was trying to change her diaper standing, she managed to stick her hand in the toilet. When I went to wash her hands, I discovered the bathroom had no soap. It wasn't out of soap, there was not even a soap dispenser. My kid stuck her hand in the toilet in the one restroom in the country designed by people who think soap is overrated. read more
