I had to have emergency surgery. This time 3 weeks ago, the Dr actually asked me "what else do you want me to do, admit you?". He acted like I was faking it. This is a retirement community, we need Dr's who have a decent bedside manner. I've been told to go to Fredericksburg instead, next time I will. Avoid this ER at all costs. We called two ERs beforehand--this one was immediately kind, reassuring, and let us know there was no one else in the ER waiting room at the time. From the moment we arrived, the experience was excellent. Check-in was smooth, and we were taken back in under 10 minutes. The staff was incredibly kind, and within another 10 minutes, the nurse practitioner had already treated my son. X-rays were done quickly (impressive with a wiggly toddler), and results came back in about 30 minutes. By then, my son had fallen asleep, and the staff went out of their way to be quiet and accommodating--whispering, dimming the lights, and even letting us stay in the room so he could rest. When we were ready to leave, checkout was quick and friendly. Within two hours, my son was back to normal and running around. He was even able to be a ring bearer that evening with no issues! Hopefully you never need an ER, but if you do--especially with a child--I highly recommend this one.

Shannon Medical Center should honor their commitment to care for their patients.  My provider did…read morenot fill a prescription before leaving so I was told that I had to come in to get that prescription refilled, but that I would not be charged.  I came in as requested and that doctor told me that it wasn't necessary for me to come in to have that prescription filled.  Shannon used this as an opportunity to file my insurance unnecessarily and bill me the balance.  When I called Shannon to dispute the charges, they said since I came in there was nothing they could do.  The doctor himself told me I didn't need to come in to get that RX refilled.  Shannon only has Shannon's interests at heart as I had to drive 2 hours and then be billed for something that my provider should have taken care of originally.   I am transferring my care immediately as I feel that since I started seeing them in July 2025 it has been nothing but a joke as this has just been one of the many problems I have had with them.

If they don't have the answer to a question, they'll make sure to find someone who does. Like any doctor's office, appointments can occasionally run behind schedule. That's just the nature of healthcare. What I appreciate is that the staff acknowledges the delay, apologizes when necessary, and does their best to get patients back as quickly as possible. One of the biggest conveniences is having so many services in one location. My OB-GYN is here, and if I need a sleep study, I can simply go downstairs to schedule it. Iron infusions are available on the third floor, orthopedics is on the first floor if my joints are bothering me, and the lab is right there for blood work. It makes coordinating my healthcare so much easier. So far, I haven't had a single negative experience. From the receptionists to the lab staff and CMAs, everyone has treated me with kindness and genuinely seems to care about making each visit a positive one. Having a clinic where you feel well taken care of makes all the difference, and this has consistently been my experience here.

Where the medical assistant took vital vitals and a health history. From there the attending doctor order an x-ray of his knee . As we waited for the result the doctor never ordered any type of pain relief despite my boyfriend saying his pain was an 9 out of 10.
