My first born went to two Goddard Schools, in #NorthBrunswickGoddardSchool and #BranchburgGoddardSchool. As I was expecting my second born, I obviously turned to one as well which is near my work. Also a current co-worker has one of there children currently enrolled and soon to be expecting her second one soon. So with no question asked, my husband and I (with another co-woker) went to take a tour of this facility. We were looking for January/February (2018) enrollment but was told there was a waiting list and the next availability would be in March 2018. I asked if there is anything we could do to ensure our spot for March, and was told by the owner Laura that taking a tour would put our name on the wait list automatically, nothing else needed. I went above and beyond with my work to get a delay start of March so my New Born could go to the Goddard school as preferred. I recently called at the end of November to ensure my son's guaranteed spot for March was still available. First, I spoke with the director, who was very standoffish on the phone. She informed me there wasn't any spots available until April 2018 now. I was SHOCKED! I had asked for the director, Laura who at that time was not available. Few days later, I had called back to speak with her and left her a msg. She left me a voice mail, stating "my director had informed you about everything already, if you are still unsure give me a call back." She's lucky that I did not hear that voicemail until I had called her back already, otherwise she would have gotten a piece of my mind. When I called back, Laura informs me that the next availability is early Spring, once I asked what that means she says Early May!!! I was very disappointed. Still keeping my composure, I had asked how is that possible and when was anyone going to inform me about this change..? I had sacrificed my maternity leave to ensure my son had a spot in March. She stated during the time of the tour that they would contact us when a spot was available a deposit was not needed because the tour was sufficient. The story changed when I inquired further. She explained that we do not call to let you know, if you want to ensure your spot, you need to put in a deposit." I was stunned! I told her that this is new and this information was not told. I continued on by saying that I had specifically asked her about a deposit and had brought my checkbook as well to make one. Her response was, "I apologize if you did not understand me, but this is how we have been doing it for past 23 years, this is nothing new." (talk about customer service people!) Biting my tongue and keeping my chin in mind, I had asked her if she could email me the enrollment paperwork since I wanted to have a guaranteed spot for next availability, I would try to drop it off or drop it in the mail with check etc. Now, 24 hours later, the next day, I have NOTHING! Not a single paperwork in my email inbox. Later that day, I had confirmed with both my husband and my co-woker who went with us to confirm if I was having a Pregnancy Brain and totally misunderstand her during the tour of having a spot available in March and tour is sufficient enough OR she did NOT mention any deposit? Both confirmed my understanding. So clearly Laura, you had provided me with wrong info and two other people confirms it. To make this even more interesting, my co-worker whom I recommended this place to, took a tour, and during the tour, she was asked to make a deposit. Now, her New Born has a guaranteed spot for March. As you can imagine, this is why I feel we are being ignored and purposely not provided a spot, interestingly enough, both of my co-workers are White. During the tour, I had noticed very little to hardly any minorities in the entire school. In the current New Born Classroom, there were zero minorities! And they are clearly going above and beyond to not only be very unprofessional, and providing me with wrong information to me just to ensure that my mixed African -American/ Asian child would not get into this facility. It's very important to me that my children feel safe, happy, and secure. Both of my children are very happy at Timothy. My middle schooler had a wonderful transition to middle school this year. Dr. Bishop is the new middle school principal, and I am beyond impressed with all that he has done this year. I am truly thankful that the Lord brought Dr. Bishop to Timothy and he is an amazing asset to the school. I have had many wonderful conversations with him regarding curriculum, educational philosophies, and social/emotional issues. I am excited to see how he launches the Middle School program forward in the future. Middle School can be a rough time, and I think the students are in good hands with Dr. Bishop. I am really thankful for the wonderful year my son is having. I am thankful that my boys are getting a solid education, in a loving Christian environment with a solid foundation on the Word of God.

They are kind and patient, they teach, they have fun (art, shaving cream, dancing). It's truly the BEST DAYCARE IN TOWN. My daughter has learned so much!!!!! Examples - ABC's, sign language, how to write, even some Spanish colors, and so much more. The Director, Johana is phenomenal, as well. My daughter was having a behavioral issue 2-3 months into joining. She was ok with the other children but she was not listening to the teachers and displaying behavior that was not her normal behavior. I believe this was because we just changed daycares and in parallel I was transitioning her into her own room / bed. Johana sat me down and explained all the issues and the impact it was having. She gave some recommendations on what we could work to implement, together, to try and rectify the problem. She was also very clear on how long we had to try and implement a solution (before we would need to change schools). All things I truly appreciated because there was over communication on the problem, a willingness to work together to try and resolve the issue, and a clear deadline. In the end, I was finally able to get through to my daughter and her morning statements of "I don't want to go here!!!" changed into "I can't wait to tell Ms. Caila XYZ" or greeting Mrs. Johana on the way to excitedly join Ms. Temu's class. Their willingness to try and work with you (as a parent) and their dedication to providing a safe, fun, and educational place for all the children is impeccable. When our child started school, it was apparent that they had repurposed an old storage room, and that the student:teacher ratio was far worse than advertised. When we complained about the state of the classroom, rather than do the right thing and hire additional staff, the school administration expelled our child from the school on zero days' notice, despite having no documented behavioral or academic issues of any kind. During the expulsion meeting, the administration admitted to being unable to hire additional staff and _intentionally_ overbooking the class sizes during registration. The founder of this school is obsessed with metrics. If your child represents a threat to one of those metrics (be it student-teacher ratio, standardized test scores, etc.) then they will absolutely throw your child under the bus to make the school look better. Be warned.

Long Review Alert! I had high expectations from this Daycare…read morewhen i did the tour and read all the great reviews, but I was highly disappointed. We picked this daycare even though it was farther away from our home. To give some background, My daughter was 18 months when we enrolled her in this school. She was in another daycare since she was 7 months and the only reason we had to switch was because we moved to Edison. We loved her previous daycare. 1) At little treasures my daughter took so long to adjust. Every morning she wouldn't want to go there and was so clingy in the evening when she returned home. She was in Penguins classroom. 2) I felt the overall atmosphere in LT was not warm and non-welcoming.We had to drop her at around 7:45am when none of her class teachers were there. So she had to be dropped off in another classroom with another teacher who was least concerned about her. She wouldn't bother to say Hi to us or our daughter or welcome her any way. Some days she would completely ignore us . Drop offs were very unpleasant. When we raised our concern to the director, she said someone was going to take a look.Of course that never happened. I don't know how they do Quality control for such issues. 3) Timings of the regular teachers were such that we could never catch them if we were dropping and picking up outside 9-6pm window. During those hours it was only the part time teachers who had no clue if you ask them any question about your child. It created such a disconnect for us with her class teachers. So only way to communicate was to call them all the time for any major/minor question. Because otherwise we never met them in person. LT could provide better coverage for parents who because of their work schedule don't get to meet the main teachers. 4)A few times when I did a late drop off so i can meet her teachers (and reach my work late as well), I noticed that my daughter didn't wanted to go to her lead teacher who has been with her for couple of months. With Little kids It is very simple to tell who they like and who they don't. I don't think there was any attempt made to bond with my daughter. 5) Daily reports were hand scribbled with very minimum information of what the child ate during meal time. If I can find, I will post a picture of one of the reports. Imagine first we don't get to meet her teachers regularly and the only way we are relying to get some info is via the daily reports which were nearly useless. Once I requested her teacher to write more descriptive report including if she had milk (incase she did not eat food). I was told that for kids of her age (18 months), focus should be more on the food then milk so they never gave us that info. 6) LT is extremely structured that makes the teachers here more concerned about following the schedule and intense curriculum. The last meal/snack time was 3:30pm, and by the time i arrived my daughter would be so hungry and screaming for Milk. Nothing is offered to the child after the last meal because that is not in the schedule. It seems like the teachers are overworked. The type of words that she learned quickly and repeated at home speaks a lot- 'Stop It' 'Go Sit Down' 'Listen to me' 7)Also they would take the kids outside even in cold weather and told us to send appropriate clothing to bundle up or keep the child home if you don't want them to go outside. I don't understand How would the teachers keep the child bundled up who keeps taking off her hat or shoes or mittens even when outside. Overall I feel my child never bonded well with her teachers during the 5 months. Nobody really cared if she didn't come to the school one of the days or it was her last day at the school. Little kids need just a bit more love when they are away from their parents to help them cope emotionally. It was this thing which was really missing at LT. I am not sure about other classrooms or other teachers but our experience with this specific class was not great. The only positive side was state of art facility which is kept very clean and a structured curriculum . I wish I had decided against it so that my daughter wouldn't have gone through another change in 5 months. I wouldn't recommend this center to any of my friends.
