We can't say enough wonderful things about the loving teachers, beautiful learning environment and strong community of families. They have cared for us immensely over the past few years as we both settled in the area and grew our family. Urban Oak nurtures our daughter's spirit and imagination, celebrates the natural world and fosters her social and emotional growth. By caring for her inside and out, Urban Oak has helped her build a solid foundation and a love of learning. The parent/child program is a wonderful introduction to Waldorf early childhood education for both parent and child alike. It is lovely way to spend dedicated time with your child baking bread, playing, singing and learning about the importance of daily rhythm and simplicity both in the classroom and at home. Our children thrive at Urban Oak and we are so thankful.

I returned to Cleveland for a visit and was excited to attend Ma Rainey's Black Bottom in the new…read moretheater. While I might have enjoyed the performance much more, I was so uncomfortable in the seat, I could barely pay attention. I'm under 5'3" and my knees were touching the back of the seat in front of me and while I am a woman of some size, I could not stretch my legs out in the least, my arms on both sides were plastered next to my neighbor's arms and the seats were low to the point I felt like I was nearly in a squatting position. I can't imagine how much more uncomfortable a taller or larger person would be. I was counting the minutes for the performance to end and was so delighted to leave the torture of those seats, I skipped the discussion session. Whoever configured those seats, obviously didn't sit in them for a nearly 3 hour show. I was with a group of 4 and we all agreed that as much as we love to support community theater, we would never attend again unless we sit in the front or handicapped rows. You would need to be the size of a child to be comfortable sitting anywhere else in that theater.

Horizon is the best Montessori School in Cleveland! I loved attending so much back in the 1980's…read morethat I sent my daughters through the school, too. They do an amazing job connecting with children and encouraging their growth. Truly a special place.
