Entering the door we must take our winter boots off, which forces us to walk back and forth in the very puddle our boots created, because the area is so narrow. She will then order you to wash your hands, and treat you in a rude, abrupt, and condescending manner during intake. She exhibited suspicion and resentment, it seemed like, when I wanted to know about the procedure, complaining that it would take time to provide information, and she was running behind due to an elderly client. She just ordered me to get on the table...I had to ask for what, and did not even know we were going to start with needles. One the phone I had explained this was my first experience with accupuncture, and had questions about the herbal supplements I wanted to take as well. She told me to bring them with me, but never followed up with it in the office. She does not know how to create a friendly, kind, professional rapport at all. She actually reminded me of Nurse Ratchet from One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest, and had the most cold demeanor I have ever seen in healthcare. I stated I was so uncomfortable that I had to leave, and asked if I owed anything. She stated that she could not bill me because she did not perform a service. Low and behold she has attempted to bill my insurance for sitting there being rude for a few minutes! That is fraud. I do not recommend her at all. BEWARE.

I had been a patient of his since needing my first adjustments as far back as 2002. I continued care until moving away after college from 2014-2018, at which point I found provider in my local area. That being said, each time I return to the area I am excited to resume treatment with Dr Bruns. He and his staff are always so willing to make urgent same day or next day appointments. This is not the case for all chiropractors who can at times make you wait a week or more. If you've ever felt the insufferable shocking feeling of back or neck pain, you know the wait time can make or break you. The staff at this office sees you, they know you especially in a chronic case like mine and just knowing that they believe the pain you're in means the world. Furthermore, his treatment plans, albeit sometimes lengthy depending on the particular injury or specific muscle groups, are designed to truly rehabilitate the area versus a kneejerk adjustment so you feel relief today while leaving you susceptible to reinjury. He has always been willing to consider the financial implications of insurance in my treatment discussions as well. Truth be told Dr. Bruns has saved my life. In the rare cases where it has been a weekend and emergent situation and he has been unavailable-- IF the emergency room staff believe you all they do is provide pills numbing the pain (and you) all the while they treat you like you are simply drug seeking. If I had to endure that each time my pain flares, I cant imagine where I'd be.
