Walked in a little after opening on a Sunday and beat the after church crowd. Had to say I was very impressed with how clean everything was and how often food was refilled and how friendly the staff was. There's a wide variety of food, and a hibachi station where you can make your own bowl and someone will cook it for you. The food I tried was delicious and we really enjoyed it! If I can give a 0 star I would. I have food allergies and I also have a service dog when we first sat down they told us to leave my dog at the table but after some back and forth they said ok to her going up with me. We than got to the food I had limited options and so I got what I could however we sat down and my dog played down but she than started to paw me as something on my plate I couldn't eat I wasn't sure what so I put it to the side the staff told us we HAD to FINSH it we tried telling them my service dog said it wasn't safe they ignored it and told me I had to finish it I forced myself to eat it but started feeling sick all because they were forcing me to eat it. More than likely I'll have to go to the hospital tonight just what I need. Before I came I had talked to them they said yes we have food you can eat. They don't have food that was safe. I took my girlfriend here as she wanted it tonight we are both outraged by what they did. They are rude and we won't be back that's for sure. Overall it's a negative experience and now we have to spend time in the hospital bc they forced us to eat it. Don't come here if you want to be forced into eating it. I was skeptical about getting takeout from King Buffet but I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered online and my order was ready when I got there. It was hot and not right off the buffet which I was concerned about. The egg rolls were excellent and so were the crab Rangoons. I had the Szechuan pork. It was excellent as well. Was told the pepper steak, sesame chicken and orange chicken were also really good but I didn't try them. My only complaint was the chicken fried rice. It was bland and had no egg or vegetables. Maybe I didn't read the menu correctly but don't think I would order that again. Other than that, it was terrific. And fair prices too. read more

Pretty good! Spring rolls were fresh, cream cheese Rangoons are the triangle type and delicious, dumplings were a bit soggy but still good. Honey chicken & black pepper chicken were both good, and their Lo Mein reminded me of Saganos noodles- wish they had YumYum sauce! Prices were a bit expensive compared to other Chinese buffets in Genesee County- but unfortunately there aren't many other Chinese buffets in the area. $12.99 for lunch. Would return! read more

Amazing food! Only been able to get takeout, do do not have photos, but have tried the following dishes: Shrimp Egg Foo Young, Sesame Chicjen, Chicken Fried Rice, Pork Egg Rolls, MooGoo Gui Pan, Egg Drop Soup, Won Ton Soup. Everything we have tried has been great, hot and ready on time. Amazing to get such great Chinese in a small town like Lapeer. Quantity of food is huge portions and cost is low compared to serving size. Eaten here 5 times in 3 weeks and always consistent and ready on time. My friend and I stopped in for lunch and everything on the buffet was cold. I started to wonder if it had been warm, would it taste any better? No. I've gone to a lot of oriental buffets and this one was disgusting. I tried the sushi since that didn't have to be heated and it was okay until I bit into a piece that was filled with hot wasabi, which isn't how sushi is prepared. I tried a desert and it was the 3rd time I had to spit into my napkin. The waitress checked on us once even though there was only 3 tables with people in the whole place. When we paid our bill, the host wasn't very friendly and I was shocked on how much more expensive it was compared to Flint's Oriental Wok and Hibachi. I will never go back. read more

We have a family rule, we don't do buffets, especially Chinese buffets. So what gives you say? We thought we would celebrate the Lunar New Year at the newest Chinese restaurant in town. Well this was our first and last visit to the restaurant. Food wasn't terrible for a buffet. But it was terrible. Terrible because it's a buffet. Wait staff were good. The restaurant was generally clean and tidy. But weird kitchen practices detract from any ambiance they might have. They were cutting and preparing vegetables in dining area. Noisy chopping and loud kitchen type talk that really detracts from the whole dining out experience. I don't know why but I found a soup cup with crab salad still in it when I wanted to get myself some soup. I pointed out the issue to the kitchen staff. They weren't concerned. That cured me from wanting any soup. Just your typical Chinese Buffet that gives a headache from excessive MSG, indigestion from all the grease, and bathroom issues that you really don't want to hear about. read more

New furnishings, brightly lit food area. 3 (double-sided) hot tables, 1 salad table, 1 dessert table (no ice cream machine- ice cream cups), separate sushi area and hibachi grill. Food was fresh, hot and replenished often. Fairly standard offerings, but even my son mentioned that the meat was only lightly coated with batter. Meat stood out on its own without being buried in batter! Frog legs were the special dinner offering. Plenty of foot and fin offerings. Even cheese sticks for the kids. Owner was present. She is very personable and didn't miss a beat!! Owner owns another restaurant/buffet in Imlay City, MI where our family has dined often. Trusted restaurant. Honestly I had my hopes for this restaurant. The interior is great! However, the food was mediocre at best, even on a Saturday night at 7PM. Everything was barely warm. The Crab Rangoon was without any actual crab, and the all of the shrimp still had the "mud vein" in tact. Excellent! Went there Christmas day at 9:00 pm and food was fresh and tasty. The help was extremely friendly. The Hibachi, though, is your best bet.. I had pork with noodles and bean sprouts. they also have a carry out menu and the prices are quite reasonable I will definitely he going to this restaurant frequently. one and a half miles away from me I hadn't known it was there for almost a year, so maybe they could do a promotion or to get the word out. First time there. Arrived around 4:30 and some things were warm and overcooked (ike the fried shrimp). Things got better around 5 because more people came in and the buffet was filled with fresh food The grilled food was good. Pretty good selection. read more

Very disappointing. Went at 5:00, which is dinner time, and most pf the food was either cold or felt like it was left over from lunch. Their Chinese donuts were on a plate on the side and stale. Well since the two other Chinese restaurants in town are off the dining menu because of the sub-par food, we thought we'd try the new place in town even though it is a buffet. Well there still isn't a good Chinese restaurant in town. While the wait staff was attentive and friendly, the food was far from palatable. Everything sampled lacked flavor. The egg drop soup was nothing more than floating egg whites in a yellow colored tasteless liquid. The three chicken dishes sampled, all of which should have been very distinctly different in flavor where bland and tasteless. The crab rangoon was void of any crab flavor and so excessively sweet it should have been dusted with powdered sugar and served as a dessert. While several of the selections appeared to be fresh there were some that should have been relabeled as "jerky". This was our first and last time. If you appreciate good food, this isn't the place to eat!! read more
