Daily rental car was inexpensive and they pick up and drop off! This gave us unlimited access to explore the island, shop Christiansted and take in some of the great dining in town. Driving is fun and easy despite being on the opposite side of the road. We really enjoyed and appreciated the on-property experience relaxing by the pool or on the beach as well as quiet times on the unit's private deck. I particularly recommend driving about the island taking at least one full day to stop and explore the remote beaches to the east, rainforest hills to the west and ending the day with dinner at Cain Bay's Eat! Great food selection and a view that can't be beat. Next trip will include scuba diving! Beginners are welcome so non-certified divers can take a 1/2 day class and a reef trip with an instructor.

The next morning I called the office as soon as it was open when I went to clerk, I told them my concerns the clerk reassured me that our next room would be better; however, the second unit ac was not working and although we asked at least four different times no one ever fixed it, there was black mold everywhere, we expected the air conditioner to be working when we returned from Burch but it was not and although we reached out to the staff no one ever came to fix it. To add we were also told on our third day, only after inquiring that the internet was down & therefore the tv would not work. I actually have pictures of all the mold, the room was so unbearable we had to stay on the beach or visit family to avoid the room the whole visit and after finding mold behind the bed we had to vacate the unit in the middle of the night. It was my husband birthday weekend and it was an absolute nightmare. To add I've been a RN for 15 years and the risk of getting sick from staying in either of those units was high. I have stayed at all types of locations on St. Croix and this was the worst place we have ever experienced anywhere.

Although we did not use the pool since we weren't hotel guests, the beach offered plenty of enjoyment. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the food was consistently good. Sitting on the patio, we enjoyed our meal with an unforgettable ocean view. It's easy for expectations to be high when visiting a destination resort, but it's important to remember the challenges of island logistics. Considering that nearly everything arrives by boat, the locals do a truly commendable job of supporting tourism and providing guest with their best possible experience.
