One of the things Steve promised was to keep us regularly statused with clear communication. THAT was a false promise on his part. He seldom communicated clearly and did not keep us statused. As the project continued over the next 7 months to the present day, it became apparent that Steve is not planful and does not understand project management. The first -- and best -- thing that happened was he hired Joe McKuen (arguably the best tile guy in the Rogue Valley) to install the radiant heat and Spanish tiles that we had already purchased. Joe did a flawless job in the first two weeks. Very impressive. Understandably, the custom-made French doors and glass panels took overlong to be fabricated due to supply chain and Covid issues. When we asked, we got an update from Steve but he certainly didn't keep us in the loop. Finally, in the middle of winter Steve said he was going to take out the back wall and install the French doors and sliding screens. That occurred over about a week or so in late February. He, his father (a very experienced framer), and the owner of the door fabrication company with two of his employees finally installed the doors EXCEPT for the screen doors. It turned out Steve had never placed the order for the screened doors. According to Steve, the price of the screened doors had doubled in the intervening months. He decided he wanted to find a different vendor although I said we'd pick up the cost difference. We're still waiting for the screened doors and for the paint stains to be power-washed off the brick patio. Steve hasn't returned our calls in over a month. We have no idea if he finally placed an order for screened doors -- or if he intends to finish the job. It appears that after he got his last check from us, he just walked off the job and doesn't intend to complete it. Steve projected that this job would be completed by late December at the latest. It is almost the beginning of May and has not been completed so far. Based on this behavior on his part, we do NOT recommend him or the company he owns, Rivercross Construction.

Steven came by and gave us some ideas and said he'd work up a bid. In the meantime, we were so impressed with him that we hired his crew to paint the outside of our home! We are very pleased with our decision to hire RiverCross Construction. Stephen and his entire crew are knowledgable, friendly and easy to work with. All work was either completed early or on time. We're so happy with him that we're having him do some finish work in our backyard. RiverCross Construction. Honest, reliable, professional work. Reasonably priced. Very good subcontractors. Friends and neighbors can't stop complimenting our wonderful new porch!

(I posted a negative review on Yelp regarding that roofer). Since I needed help selecting a roof shingle for my home, I called Grandview. The owner set an appointment, was punctual and courteous, and showed me samples. He quoted me a fair price, and I accepted. He started the work within the following 10 days, and he completed it to my satisfaction and in a timely manner, even during a rainy day. The roof looks fantastic; they cleaned up after the job was done. His crew was polite and diligent, and I highly recommend his work.

First they crazy-overcharged for a tiny deck that needed a decent waterproofing seal. They said only his most expensive product would do the job. Then they left it half done and very sloppy. I was asked to remove that negative review when they came out to "fix it". Well they did NOT fix it. And once the rains started we accrued significant damage and cost to both the outside and the inside of our home including mold damage and total inside ceiling needing repair now (Pix included). The owner told us yesterday in person that they would fix it. Now today he writes saying that he won't. Sadly this is just really bad business and very costly mistakes on their part that is left for us to pick up their improper work. I warn anyone to look around for other options and businesses before moving ahead with Rougue Valley Roofing. They do not stand behind their work and they do not behave professionally. What a mess. BUYER BEWARE OF THIS BUILDER My rating of this company is not to go an a tangent but to speak facts…read moreand truth. SO BEWARE IF YOU USE THIS COMPANY We hired this company in good faith and at first all was good as we met to discuss plans and site prep. I will outline each area we had issues with and the outcome. 1 - CONCRETE Back Patio was supposed to have more lines (I don't know the word for them) but to stop cracking. We were told by at least 3 other companies there should have been 1 to 2 more lines. That didn't happen and within months of moving in there are cracks through our concrete. The garage has about 6 areas where there are chunks out of the concrete. And we were told they would be fixed. To this day nothing was done about them 2 - Electrical - within the first 3 months of moving in we had to have breakers replaced as the breakers that were used to begin kept breaking and shutting out lights and power down. Also they were supposed to come out and put electrical in the floor of our living room. Power is ran to the underneath but after calling numerous times they still have not been back (1 and 1/2 year later). Also now we just had an outage with our Well. the Pump company had to come out and run a 50 yard external temporary cable to the Well Head from our garage until we can find the wire that is bad. THIS SHOULD NOT HAPPEN ON A HOUSE THAT IS JUST OVER A YEAR LIVED IN. 3 - Cleaning - After the contractor was supposedly completed, we were told a cleaning crew was comping out to clean the entire house. We were told EVERYTHING... NOTHING was done and we were charged for it. My wife had to get on her hands and knees to clean the entire house. To be transparent on all sides, we received a lump sum of money from the bank back to us that was supposed to to the contractor. We didn't want the money and nor did we ask to keep it. All I told the contractor was come finish the jobs and we will give you the money. I said here is a list of things and he didn't like that very much and sent an email to us to keep the money he was done. So to conclude, instead of sitting down and fixing the issues and getting his money he decided to get upset and hold grudges. Update: I called him on 3-13-24 to ask if we could talk about how we can work to get this well fixed and I treated him with nothing but respect and all he could say to me was I was contacted by the Electrical Company and the Rogue Valley Pump company and they called you a liar. I am not sure what that means.
