I called King Door yesterday 9/18/23 and I got appointment the next day. Which is 9/19/23 today Unbelievably...to get an appointment so quickly. What service. I had Issac as the Service Technician. What a professional he is....... He was on time. He was very professional. He explained everything. I have water coming under the garage door when it rains. It didn't use to be like that. But these last couple years it comes in now. So I thought it was the rubber on bottom of garage door that's needing replaced. That's why I made the appointment. He looked at the rubber on bottom of door and said there's nothing wrong with it. Your driveway has shifted. The concrete over time He showed me. What did I know. I never paid attention before. Ruben, was great he looked at our garage door and found it in good shape, but he found that the garage door opener was under powered for the door and recommended that it be replaced, so we had him replace it. As he was replacing the opener he found that the tensioner was bad and recommended it be replaced as well with a spring conversion. Problems with our Garage Doors. Called the first company and after inspection presented a bid over $1000.00. WOW Shock. Called King Door and Ronnie and Nick arrived QUICKLY and inspected the doors. Our garage door spring broke and we were unable to open our garage door. We do not have access from the house, so this was a problem. We reached out to King Door by leaving a message in the evening and by morning someone had contacted me to schedule the repair. I informed the gentleman who called me that we couldn't access our garage and it was pretty important the repair be done as soon as possible. He said he could have someone out that same morning, but because I would be unavailable, I arranged for someone to come by in the afternoon. The man who came to do the job was very professional and worked quickly. He also informed me that both springs were broken, not only one, but the price for the job remained unchanged from the original quote. I'm never one to write reviews but I had to keep people aware of one of King Doors employees. I called King Door for my garage door opener that was having some problems and thought it just needed aome adjustments. The person in the office I spoke to was very professional and sent someone the same day to check out the problem with garage door. This employee started to diagnose the problem and said the motherboard on the motor was bad and needed to be replaced; even showing me what was wrong with it (mind you; I have no experience with the operation of one, I would believe anything he said). Long story short, since I have home warranty and now just realizing that this would be more of a fix than I initially thought I decided to call my home warranty to see of King Door could do the job since they sent a technician over already. However, after speaking to my home warranty, King Door was not on their contractor list and they sent another company over the next day. The technician said the motherboard was completely fine and it was just the setting force that wasn't set correctly. While I don't fault King Door, I do fault an employee trying to take advantage of the situation. Its a lack of integrity and honesty in my opinion. read more

I wanted two new garage doors to replace the 20+-year-old ones that came with the house when it was new and which had become slightly dented and faded over the years. King Door has been my go-to garage door company since about 2010, having over that time replaced the torsion springs a couple of times and periodically performed routine service. Their staff is always knowledgeable and capable, so of course I went to them for the replacement doors. No different this time. I made several visits to their showroom, where Daniel showed me the different styles and options and answered all my questions and concerns. He was very accommodating and patient as I took a couple of weeks to go through the decision process. After all, how often do you get new garage doors, and then how long do you have to live with them? It's a big decision. The manufacturer's design app was helpful in seeing how the different designs might look on my home. I finally placed the order in February. The doors I selected were predictably delayed due to current Covid-related supply-chain issues and were just installed yesterday, June 20. They are a great improvement over the old tinny uninsulated ones that were my original builder's standard doors -- these have 2" insulation and are a bit of an upgrade. They run smoothly and look great! The installers, Alan and José were on time, easy to talk to, got right to work, cleaned up the job site when they were finished, and did a walk-through with me, fine-tuning little things here and there as needed. The job took about six hours to change out the doors and hardware (torsion spring, rails, etc.) for a non-standard-size two-car garage and a one-car garage. I'm happy. read more

He replaced the spring and was clear about lead times to get the panel in. I asked him about proactively replacing the spring for the other door - instead of taking an easy upsell, he was honest that it wasn't necessary to do. I called at 4:45 pm on Monday as one of my tension springs broke. An inspection was set up for Tuesday morning 8-11 window. I rec'd call informing me tech would be here in 15 minutes. Chanler arrived around 9 am, inspected my garage door, explained repair process and re-quoted price. Within an hour he replaced springs, greased chain, oiled joints and rewired the electrical system.
