Finding your ball in the middle of the Fairway is a tasks. We watch them mowing the fairways with a regular tractor and blowing all of the clippings to the edge of the Fairway. If your ball rolled into that it was impossible to find. Greens were in fair condition. They were a little slow but they rolled fairly true. Very nice little clubhouse with a good selection of drinks and a very nice woman working there. She was very pleasant, helpful, and friendly.

Brought my 12 year old son here to play his first big course and we played 18 without issue. Very laid back pace and not too crowded, which we both liked. It gave me time to work with him on things and not have to rush the pace of play. Greens were pretty good. Fairways do have clover, but don't really hinder play that I noticed. Would play here again. Just don't expect a championship type/level course because this won't be it. It's a good course to start on though to get some experience in if your just starting out or are an intermediate player.

The place is huge and clean. People are constantly mowing their greens, the trees are pruned well. The greens are ok, their 9 holes was quite easy to complete for it's not that crowded. The staff were friendly. Got good deals , free 2 golf cart use because we have to spent playing with a birthday celebrant plus with a free large bucket of golf balls to hit in the driving range. You don't find that in NY metro / Tri state .. A decent golf course with excellent deals and staff..Your own time, what more to ask, right? My son goes to college nearby, and I was looking for a place we could play and get through our round as fast as possible, as we had afternoon plans. I checked their website for tee times, and EVERY time was available from 8-4, so I banked on us getting through our round pretty quickly which ended up being the case. It was cool, but not cold and calm and quiet, really nice. Like others have stated, cart paths need work, and some of the signs on the holes look like Halloween decorations.Some of the tee boxes are weird, some are muddy, some are not entirely flat, but the layout is pretty good and the greens were in great shape, especially for it being late October. The veiws with foliage are spectacular, and $32 for 18 with a cart on a weekend is what kicked it up to 4 stars for me.

The signage needs updating. we had a difficult time navigating the course. Some of the tee boxes are in complete shambles. You'd need a hammer to put your tee into the ground. The cart paths are disastrous and borderline dangerous, tree roots, rocks, uneven and uncomfortable to drive on. It was slow that day so we didn't have anyone pushing us but we did have to wait for a foursome of kids with very foul mouths. Some beautiful scenery for sure. The money we spent there was very high for the conditions we endured. we like to try different courses and I can say honestly we won't be returning to Fillmore Glen anytime soon. While I grew up fishing for bass, I'm still relatively new to fly fishing and my wife is pretty new to the sport. I've gone out with guides in Washington and North Carolina but would rank this as the best experience of the bunch. When I reached out to book, he called me back within minutes to discuss preferred techniques, locations and types of fish to target, and it was clear he truly listened to what I was hoping to accomplish with the trip and tailored a list of different sites in the Finger Lakes to meet these goals. As our scheduled date approached, the weather forecast looked grim, so he reached out and we arranged an alternative day to go out at the last minute. We very much appreciated his flexibility. On the water, he was extremely patient with instruction and advice and has natural, positive teaching style and never seemed frustrated when there were tangles, snags or errant casts. I was able to refine techniques and presentations I have used before as well as learn a couple of new approaches, and my wife greatly improved her casting skills and understanding of how to read a trout stream. I've been out with guides who set you up with one technique and run this over and over all day long regardless of whether or not it's successful, but Jeremy was constantly reevaluating what was working and what wasn't, and making thoughtful adjustments as we moved from site to site. He went above and beyond to make sure we both caught fish and had a great time doing it. Afterwards, he followed up with pictures of the day as well as some much appreciated local recommendations for places to hike and eat/drink during the rest of our trip. If we are ever in this area again I'd definitely book another trip through this service.
