I've used Gilmor Tax service for years and never had a problem until this tax year (2024). I never received a call to confirm the information that I added. When checking the IRS website, I found out that my old banking information was submitted with my tax return information instead of my updated information. When I called the office to ask what happened and what could be done to fix this problem, I was met with verbal hostility from someone at the firm and eventually was hung up on. The exchange was totally unexpected, disrespectful and uncalled for considering the error was on the part of Gilmor Tax service. I was supposed to receive my refund in March. Today's date is May 3st and I still have not received my refund. After numerous phone calls to the IRS, I was told that the IRS had to conduct an investigation to ensure that the refund was never deposited. After that investigation is complete, it would take 16 weeks for a check to be mailed to my house. Unacceptable and deplorable customer service. I will never again use this firm for any reason! Nearly a month later, days before tax deadline, taxes still are not done. I've been calling to find out when they would be done because I'm panicking. I was told something different each time - can't see docs, no taxable income, they are running behind. The last time, I was told that there was no guarantee they would be done before deadline AND "I was free to take my taxes somewhere else. Their feelings will not be hurt." And then told not to call back. NEVER AGAIN!
