My issue is entirely with the owner and the billing process. I was quoted $180 for one hour with a three-person team. The cleaners were there for one hour, and I was given a bill for $180, which matched our agreement. Three days later, I discovered that my credit card had been charged $240 instead. When I contacted the owner, he told me they had undercharged me. I explained that the team was there for the agreed-upon hour and that I had a bill showing the $180 charge. His response was that he didn't know why his employee had given me that bill because he handles the invoicing. Frankly, that is an internal issue that should be resolved within the company, not passed on to the customer. It was disappointing to hear an employee blamed for the discrepancy, and even more concerning that an additional charge was made to my credit card without my authorization or prior discussion. I even offered a reasonable compromise of applying the difference as a credit toward a future cleaning because I had planned to use the company again. Unfortunately, that was not accepted. The cleaning team earned four stars. The owner's handling of the billing issue earned one. Customers should be able to trust that the agreed-upon price is the price they will be charged.

Naturally, all of the aforementioned traits are applicable to NH Handyman & Inspection Services. The job was simple enough. All I needed was a quick patch up job for the broken paint on my shower ceiling. So, I sent out inquiries to several businesses that served the southern NH area. Funny thing is...ya know how many replied back with an actual quote? One. Just one. The same one I ended up hiring for the repair, of course. So many other businesses wanna chat with you on the phone before actually quoting either a flat rate or, at the very least, an estimate. Almost like they're trying to sell you something. One other business eventually gave me a rate, but it was way too high for my taste. Now, NH Handyman charges a flat rate between $225 and $450; though, it's unclear if that applies to every job or if that's just his hourly rate. In any case, he was clearly the most affordable choice for me. Besides, I'd rather give my money to my home state whenever possible. Here's another convenience this Handyman provides: he'll send you a link to book an appointment online. There's also one available via his website. Convenient AND inexpensive. That's what's up! I find it hard to believe no one ever took the time to review this business before me. Ah, well. At least I get the honor of being dubbed the "First to Review" badge. Then it is apparent that one of the workers doesnt know how to use the broken sump pump they brought over. And even worse, he is inebreiated and REEKS of alcohol. I asked them to leave. She didn't even walk around the outside of the house and in her report she said we had no sofit vents. WRONG ! We certainly do. They may do good work but we certainly will never know. For a $6,000 difference I would definately not recommend them.
