Funny enough, he turned out to be the owner. When the wife came out, I asked if we could just have one drink at the bar since we came all the way out there, and Joe told the bartender "Let these two sit and order some drinks". I was also told there would be a 20% tip, which Jimmy said would be $95 in cash on the day of the event. The establishment also promoted drink specials, including happy hour from 5-8 PM and a buy-one-get-one promotion. However, when we arrived, those advertised deals were not honored. The biggest issue came when we received the bill. The bartending staff was extremely rude and unprofessional when I questioned charges on the receipt. We were being charged what appeared to be double amounts for certain items, along with an additional tip/fee. When I questioned the charges, the bartender argued with me and even threatened to call the police if I did not pay the additional amount. According to the receipt, the additional tip and fees brought the charges to approximately $525, despite our $480 deposit and the fact that we did not receive the drink specials that had been advertised. The food was also extremely disappointing. I ordered a steak with fries, as did several of my friends. The steaks were so poorly prepared that we had to send them back to be cooked again. Even after they were returned, the steak was still extremely hard and chewy. Let's keep in mind this was finger bar food that shouldn't have cost the amount we were being charged. The food was nowhere near the quality I would expect for the amount of money we spent. There also appeared to be no security or management present to properly handle the situation. When I called Jimmy during the situation to express my concerns and explain what happened, instead of listening and attempting to resolve the issue, he yelled at me over the phone. It's escalate the situation even more. Overall, this was one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. Between the advertised promotions not being honored, questionable charges, poor-quality food, rude and unprofessional service, and the way my concerns were handled by management, I would not recommend this place. For a birthday celebration with 12 people, spending close to $1,000 for poor food and terrible service was absolutely unacceptable. I expected much better and left feeling completely disappointed and taken advantage of. Three different receipts and I'm still confused.
