I had a great experience Dr. King he is straight forward he explains what you need to know and makes sure of what procedure you are having done. I had a emergency and was able to be seen because some one canceled so I was in able to come in. Dr. King gave me easy to follow instructions and performed my surgery. I went in with pain he did my exaction and my pain was gone. I slept peacefully and still doing great today. I needed to get 2 wisdom teeth removed so my dentist referred me to King Oral Surgery group. I went to the Camp Springs location and saw Dr. King. He wasn't the most personable individual but he did the extraction quickly and I didn't have much pain afterwards. A little under 2 months after the procedure I started to have bone come through my gum so I returned to the office. The procedure was not covered by insurance so I paid out of pocket. He opened up my gums, sawed the bone, filed it then stitched me up. I asked when I was to return to have the stitches removed and he said they would drop out on their own in 3-5 days. The nurse told me I could start brushing the next day but to not be vigorous. A week after that procedure the stitches were still in, I was still having pain and I was unable to open my mouth wide so I called to speak to the office manager. I told her my dilemma and she asked if I was brushing over the area. I told her I was brushing as I was told but not directly over my gums. She says, "Well your supposed to brush lightly and politely directly over the area and the stitches would've broken up" in a very condescending manner. When I tell her I wasn't told to brush my gums so is that what I should do and she gives a smart ass, "mm hmmm". At this point I'm totally irritated so I tell her that I didn't appreciate her mm hmm since I was never told what she was saying. She says she wasn't trying to be funny and was just saying yes but her tone clearly translated to her calling me dumb. To pay over $500 for a procedure then to be talked down to is unacceptable. There are too many options in PG, Charles and Montgomery county. I will NEVER get anything done at this office again. My dentist is friendly and the office staff is great so I have no idea why they are referring people to this oral surgeon. read more

Two months, two visits to oral surgeons. My daughter had her wisdom teeth removed here by Dr. Wong. We were referred to Dr. Wong by our family dentist. We had our initial visit over two months ago. On that visit, they took X-rays and watched a video explaining in detail what the surgery entails. We then talked to Dr. Wong with our concerns but overall, he just made my daughter comfortable. By the end of our visit, he seemed more like a family friend. We set our appointment for the week during Thanksgiving Break. The procedure took less than an hour. Dr. Wong and his staff have been absolutely wonderful. There was minimal bleeding and he gave her enough of the pain medication while she was under so that she would be pain free for about six hours. When my son had his wisdom teeth removed, he was in pain within a little over an hour. Back then, I thought this was the norm and it may be, but it's quite nice that he took that little precaution to make her post-op experience a bit more comfortable. Dr. Wong even went out of his way to call us directly from his cell phone to follow-up on her condition. He said for us to not hesitate and call him anytime if we had any questions or concerns. I highly recommend Dr. Wong and his staff if you have the option of choosing an oral surgeon. Since we've been to two different oral surgeons within the last two months, I can differentiate between the two practices and although my son's doctor was good, Dr. Wong was Superior! read more

AMAZING! That is all I got to say. I am 20 years old and I was supposed to get my wisdom teeth out around the age of 17, but I've been putting it off because of how terrified I was of the surgery. Finally, my teeth started growing in and I had no choice but to schedule my scary appointment. The two girls that were at the front desk, SOOOO nice and made me feel so good during the conciliation and just telling me how good the doctor was, and how it's not gonna be a big deal, they informed me of everything I needed to know about what was going to happen. So finally the day comes, today, my appointment. I am petrified, I get into the office, they give me a nice cozy blanket and I had a nice conversation with the really mind woman helping me and sitting up before the procedure. Dr. Wong, the dentist that was going to be performing the surgery, whom I met before during our consultation was SOOOO NICE! I cannot even put it into words. He talked with my grandma and I about all of his work, and how he's done mission work across the world and he was just so comforting telling me how this procedure is a piece of cake. The procedure ended and I lived just incase anyone was wondering :P But, what made the whole experience so amazing, was receiving a follow up phone call from Dr. Wong making sure everything was going smoothly. Which it was, it just made my night an it made me feel like a cared for patient which is what everyone wants. Thank you king oral surgery!! My husband called an rescheduled an appointment that the office manager never rescheduled on their books. They called the day of the first appointment looking for him and he had to remind them that he called and rescheduled. They actually rescheduled the appointment this time but when he arrived for the rescheduled appointment, they tried to charge a $75 fee for not rescheduling in a 24 hour period. It was they're office manager who didn't reschedule the appointment. Now we keep getting letters in the mail saying we owe them. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!! They will try to steal your money. read more

I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Wong. A couple of months ago, my mom and I went into Dr. Wong's office for a consultation regarding my wisdom teeth being taken out. I think it's important that you know- I was absolutely terrified to go through with this procedure. Anything involving blood, needles, or pain makes me feel weak and sick. I don't even like for people to look at my veins! I went in for this consultation very nervous and apprehensive. I had already gone to a different oral surgeon for a consultation about a year before and that doctor had been so gruff and scary I never went back to him.. as well as avoided getting this done even longer because of it. So, needless to say, by the time I got to Dr. Wong's my already terrified self was even more terrified. I even cried twice during the ten (or so) minute video they have you watch that explains typical surgery procedures. When Dr. Wong came in for the consultation, he went over the usual stuff at first. He was very friendly. I made it very clear that I was extremely worried and afraid about going through with the surgery - even got choked up a couple of times talking about it. His personality really set me at ease. He is able to be professional as well as personable. I really felt like I could trust him because he really took the time with me and addressed every concern that I had. He even used humor which made the whole thing feel less intimidating. I think we ended up spending over an hour (or about an hour) talking about everything and although I was still nervous of course, for the first time ever I felt like I could actually go through with the surgery. He had prescribed something for me to take to help with my anxiety on the morning of the surgery. He said it would feel like having a couple of cocktails - well that it did. I felt completely calm. His staff was extremely helpful and comforting. They even let me bring in my stuffed animal and didn't judge me for it. What more can you ask for? Before I knew it, the whole thing was over. I don't remember much of the surgery or getting home. He prescribed plenty of medication for me so I wasn't miserable. He called the evening of my surgery to make sure everything was alright. I just don't think I've ever experienced such personal patient care. Everything healed just fine and I was back to work after taking four days off. Of course, there was the usual soreness but he made sure I had plenty of medication so that I was never in much pain. I still can't believe I can live to say that I went through with getting my wisdom teeth pulled. Dr. Wong as well as his staff are all absolutely wonderful. This office was actually my second choice because the other surgeon was not covered under my insurance. I feel like I won the lotto and am glad it worked out this way! If it was possible to give NO star, I would, in regards to a certain office staff. The experience with certain office staff was quite disturbing and unprofessional. She did not provide all choices regarding all the possible treatment plan(s) for our son as to insurance coverage. It appears that her interest was to have me sign and commit to the treatment and pay 50% up front. When contacted for clarification she was defensive and rude stating that I was a consenting adult and that I should of known what I was signing for. After a few more interactions to straighten out the treatment plan I felt, as a paying customer, insulted and disrespected. Even another office staff had to work out the paperwork for the refund because she refused to help and ease my discomfort. In all fairness, this surgeon may be great, but certain office staff drove this customer away. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. THE WORST. It took this office 4 months to get a fax over to my insurance company. Each week they had a different excuse. They kept telling me 'its in process' to the point I was asking could I get the fax # and fax it myself. Dr. King did surgery on my son's mouth (2018) to put a bracket in place to pull up my son's adult tooth. The bracket came off less then a year later. Dr. King had to perform surgery again in July (2019) to replace the bracket. Here it is 3 months later and the bracket has come off again and the office had the nerve to tell me 'Oh, you'll have to pay for surgery again to replace the bracket' ARE THEY CRAZY. The surgeon wouldn't even get on the phone. PLEASE do not go here, office management is the worse and the surgeon isn't any better! read more

I recently got my 4 wisdom teeth extracted at this location. The staff is friendly so that's a plus. However I have had nothing but complications since the surgery. Immediately following the surgery, within 5 days of the extractions I knew something wasn't right. So I visited them as a post op visit, turns out I developed an infection on both sides of mouth, the left side was less infected than the right side, the pain on the right side was excruciating, the swelling was unbelievable. He gave me antibiotics because the amoxicillin they prescribed wasn't strong enough so they gave me clindamycin & ibuprofen 800. So after finishing the antibiotics entirely I felt completely better. 100 times better. No pain no swelling. Fast forward to a week later, now going into week 4 post op, I have developed another infection only on my LEFT side this time, the side with less infection that the first round of infections which is unbelievable! My face is swollen AGAIN. My jaw is in excruciating unbearable pain. I called the office and of course they were no help. I was crying actual tears in pain and all they did was tell me to come in on MONDAY, I called on Friday. Might I add, I am on immune suppressant medication because of an auto immune disorder. You would think they'd take that into consideration and handle this case uniquely to prevent me from catching back to back infections. However, they did not. It's frustrating to still be dealing with the pain & complications from the wisdom teeth extraction you had almost a month ago. I will not refer anyone to them. Nor do I plan on going back for any other oral surgeries. I am extremely saddened to be writing this. read more

Dr. Wong and his staff are amazing! They have been very patient with my elderly father while he figured out which route he wanted to go with his teeth. Once decided, they were great about communicating what needed to be done and getting him scheduled to accomplish this. It was impressive to me that they were compassionate towards myself as well in that I'm the coordinator of all of his appointments. I mean, basically, I'm just the driver, but they treated me as well as they treated my Dad. That little bit of kindness means the world to me. I can't say enough positive things about Dr. Wong and his staff. They are so nice, understanding and are so very diligent about customer care. I had a lot of surgery here and I must say, I'm so pleased with the results . As of now ( post op) I have a very minimal amount of pain. I expected after a surgery, it would be a lot different than it is. My thought is "why I didn't have this done a lot sooner?" I had a nasal lift, bone grafting, numerous teeth extractions, lower implants and they stitched me up. After all is healed in a few months, I will get a complete set of beautiful teeth. It is just hours old of the surgery but I feel fine. A little bleeding but that is all. Perhaps I will be in more pain tomorrow? I guess I'll see. The good Dr. even called my at home tonight to see how I was doing. I appreciate that Kind of concern. Thanks Dr. Wong & staff! I got 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled here and I am honestly so happy I was referred to him by my regular dentist. I was really nervous because only two of my upper teeth were out but my bottom teeth were still mostly covered by my gums. When you go in for your first visit they'll most likely show you a video on what getting your wisdom teeth removed is like. Then you'll sign your consent form after speaking with the doctor. He is really nice and makes you feel very comfortable. I feel like he genuinely cared about my individual case and made me feel relaxed about the whole situation. The day of my surgery I wasn't too nervous, but still nervous nonetheless. Right when I got there I was greeted warmly by the receptionist and then the nurse led me back right away. The IV was put in and next thing I remember is waking up! I was definitely numb but it wasn't too bad. The bleeding wasn't severe either. Once I got home I just slept for hours. After all the horror stories you hear about your wisdom teeth I can tell you this much: I'm 19 so maybe I healed quicker than most people but I had such an amazing healing process and I am so thankful to him for that. He called the night of the surgery just to check up on things which was really thoughtful. On my follow up a week later I was told I was healing perfectly! I was worried about dry socket but I just followed the instructions they had and I was fine. Be sure to follow those instructions and you will be healed before you know it!! :) read more
